Gnome Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  My friend wanted a card for her niece who likes gnomes.  This gave me a chance to use this Spellbinders March 2022 Stamp of the Month - Spring Gnomes.  It is my first time using the set and it really turned out cute, my friend loved it.

For the background panel, I blended Salty Ocean and Bundled Sage DOI ink and then stamped an old stamp where the ground and sky meet.    I stamped the image and colored her with Copics.  I then fussy cut her, then mounted her with foam tape to the background panel.  The balloons were stamped, colored with Copics and die cut with MFT Beary Special Birthday.  I also added foam tape to the back of the balloons.  The sentiment is from a new SU set Best Day (January-April 2023 Mini Catalog). This panel was mounted on a black scallop mat cut with MFT Blueprints 27.

Another one for NBUS

New Christmas Card

Hello friends.  It is never too early to start making Christmas cards for next year so I have made a card with a new to me die, Tim Holtz Seasonal Sketch,  I saw so many pretty cards on Pinterest made with this die, so naturally I had to get it.  I didn't get a chance to use it on my cards for this year but will definitely be using it a lot in 2023.

I started with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel of white card stock and blended Pine Needles DOI over the lower section blended up to the upper left.  I then embossed this panel with Spellbinders Loops EF and mounted it to the card base.  I die cut the flower layers from pink and gold foil and glued them together.  The leaves are cut from green card by Recollections from Michael's, and gold foil.  I glued the layers together and then snipped them apart to place them where I wanted to under the pretty flowers (poinsettias).  Impression Obsession Peace die is cut from gold foil and glued to the top section.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used this die set.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  This is for my granddaughter.  Her birthday is in a couple of weeks, in fact, I have several family birthdays in January and have several more to make.

The flower and leaves are from PTI Into the Blooms Dahlia.  I cut the flower from SU Sweet Sorbet and the leaves from SU Soft Succulent.   I shaped the flower petals and then glued the layers together.  I added a gold glitter gem to the center.  I glued  thin strips of gold foil to the Sahara Sand card panel and angled the ends.  I flicked specks with the Sweet Sorbet Blend marker by tapping it against the lid of the marker.  The sentiment is from SU Framed Florets.

Christmas Ornaments

Hello friends.  I hope you all had a safe and good Christmas.

Today I am sharing some Christmas ornaments I made for the grandchildren.  They all loved them and I did too.

I used some wooden circles I had in my stash of craft supplies and painted them with acrylic paints.  I was inspired by several ornaments I saw on Pinterest.  The bottom right ornament I stamped a snowman using Staz-on Black ink and then painted the image.  I went over the lines with a Micron pen after painting.  The other images were free-hand painted.  I had my daughter drill small holes in the tops to add Baker's Twine to hang them with.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Cowboy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for my twin brother.  He grew up working on ranches and riding horses and I know he will love this card.  He is still a cowboy. 😀

I die cut the image (Paper Rose Stockman with Horse die) from black cardstock and mounted it on a white panel that I had blended Distress Oxide Ink over.  I used Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, and Spiced Marmalade to resemble a sunset sky.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set.  It is a quick card but perfect for my brother.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for some dear friends at church.

I used my new SU Framed Florets stamp and die set for all the elements.  I stamped the flowers and colored them with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends, then die cut them with the matching dies.  I cut a white panel (4x5-1/4) and die cut the heart frame, then used an oval die to cut the center.  The lt. pink panel is stamped with a sentiment from JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments.  I then mounted the white panel with foam tape to the pink panel.  I also die cut the leaf spray in Pear Pizzazz and mounted them along with the flower die cuts to the white panel.

A Couple of Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today.

I used the Joy Nativity die from Cottage Cutz on both cards - I love this die and enjoy using it because it is about the true meaning of Christmas.  The first one is cut from copper foil and glued to a white SU Scalloped Contour die cut, then to a mat of the copper foil.  This panel is mounted on pattern paper (SU ret.) which has copper foil stars on it, then matted with a Night of Navy scallop mat (MFT Blueprints 27)..

The second card uses silver foil to cut the Joy die from, although the light is reflecting in it so it doesn't look like silver.  I mounted it to a white mat cut with MFT Rounded Banner Stax die, shortened to the length I needed and mounted with foam tape.. The silver foil pattern paper is from a Christmas pack from Hobby Lobby.  The sentiment is also from an older MFT set cut with a stitched flag die and mounted with foam tape.

Jesus is The Reason for the Season

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today.  I love making cards that show the true meaning for Christmas.  I made 4 of these cards last night. I was inspired by this card  I saw on Pinterest.

I made a card similar to this before using the same nativity die from Impression Obsession but this one is different.  I die cut the nativity pieces from white and the star from brushed gold.   I used 2 circle dies to die cut the frame and the larger one to cut the background circle.  I then blended Faded Jeans DI.over the circle, keeping it lighter at the bottom.  I then glued the frame and nativity pieces to the blended circle panel and mounted it with foam tape to the background layer embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossoms Christmas Blessings stamp set stamped in Marina Mist ink and die cut with the matching die.  I mounted it with foam tape also.

Pretty Poinsettias Merry Christmas

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today made with MFT Pretty Poinsettias.   I love the poinsettias and foliage in this set.

I stamped the poinsettias and foliage twice, colored them with Copics, then die cut them with the matching dies.  I arranged them on a white panel die cut with a SU Scalloped Contours die.   I mounted this panel over a piece of SU Real Red Gingham Cottage paper and then to the white card base.. The sentiment from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp and die set was embossed with Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder then die cut.  I mounted it with foam tape.  The two poinsettias are also mounted with foam tape.

Happy Anniversary for Color Hues

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share that I made using the colors at Color Hues Challenge

.

The Medium Scallop Frame is an older die from Papertrey Ink and is still available.  I die cut it from SU Night of Navy.  I also cut the leaves from Papertrey Ink Into the Blooms - Dahlia in Night of Navy and the flower from Cream Card stock.  The center is also cut from Night of Navy.  I added a sparkly gem from Hobby Lobby to the center and 3 small clear rhinestones in the upper right corner.  The sentiment is an older Stampabilities stamp (also from Hobby Lobby) stamped in Night of Navy ink.  I mounted it all to a white card base and my card was done.  It will go to a sweet couple at church.  I have several anniversary cards to make this month.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Money Holders

Hello friends.  I made these money holders for Christmas to give to my grandchildren. They are grown and it is easier to give them money so they can get what they want.  I will link them up at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Not a Card

I used an older Recollections 12x12 Christmas pad for the papers and it also had the cute tags in it, which I fussy cut.  I stamped the sentiment on the bottom two form a couple of SU Christmas sets.  I used a scalloped border die to cut the flaps with.  I also added Velcro dots for the closure.

I have two more to make but wanted to get these linked to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge before it closes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Blessed Christmas Wishes

I made another Christmas card based on the sketch at The Paper Players

ETA:  My card was a Runner Up at Color Hues.

and A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

I used the rectangle for my sentiment which is from a retired SU set.  I embossed it in Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  The poinsettias and foliage are from MFT Pretty Poinsettias, colored with Copics and die cut with the matching dies.  I mounted the poinsettias and the sentiment panel with foam tape and glued the foliage under the flower petals.  I added some tiny red rhinestones for a little bling.  The background panel is embossed with Spellbinders Dazzling Dots EF.

CASE a Seize the Birthday Designer

This is Seize the Birthday's last challenge for 2022 and Barbara has chosen our topping option to CASE a STB Designer.

I chose to copy this card of Barbara's as I really love it.  Heat embossing is her favorite technique and I enjoy it also.

This is my card

I did gold heat embossing on a panel of Midnight Muse card (SU ret.) using the large floral image from SSS Beautiful Flowers, stamping off the edge like Barbara did.  I also used a large sentiment from Waffle Flower Happy Birthday Sentiments.  I used Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing powder for the embossing.  I mounted the 5-1/2 by 4-1/4 blue panel on my white card base and I was done.  I am really pleased with the final result and I hope Barbara likes my CASE design..

Hop over to Seize the Birthday and check out which designer each team member decided to CASE.  I hope you will choose a designer and play in our fun challenge.  If you had rather do your own card, the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  This is my second post today and I have an anniversary card to share that I made for a couple at church.

I watch a video by Tina Smith making this card using some new Spellbinders products (I used different products) and loved the technique she used with the small trellis die from SB Kaleidoscope Plaid set on the white panel. This set has 3 small dies you can layer together or use separately like this.  I cut the die 3 times as Tina did, once from the white scallop panel, which I die cut with SU  Scalloped Contours die.  I layered them together for sturdiness and dimension and placed them back in the cut out area..  I used a different floral spray from Spellbinders July 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I glued this to the white panel and them to a Pale Plum (ret.) mat.  The sentiment is from SU Celebrating You.  I mounted this to the white card base and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Sweetest Season for The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today and I made this one for The Paper Players Challenge - CAS Christmas

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the A Cut Above at the Paper Players.

The candy canes are from Reverse Confetti Joys of the Season. I have had this set for several years but this is the first time I have used it.  It has several lovely images and I am sure I will be using it again.  I stamped them with Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  I then die cut them with the matching die and mounted them with foam tape to a panel embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).  The sentiment is from SU Sweetest Time (ret.), stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and mounted with foam tape.

I am also  linking to Krafty Chicks Challenge - CAS

Joy to the World

Hello friends.  I am getting more Christmas cards done and this one is for the Color Hues Challenge.

The background panel is embossed with SP Forevergreen EF.  I used SU Cherry Cobbler to die cut the Waffle Flower Layered Poinsettia die.  I die cut two of the largest layer to make it a fuller flower.  I shaped the petals and layered it together, offsetting the layers, then added 3 small gold beads to the center. I used 2 shades of green to die cut the foliage from Spellbinders Holiday Blooms.  The gold die cuts are from a retired SU set.  Joy is cut from white then a layer of gold foil.  I have had the die for several years and there is no name on the package so I am not sure who makes it.  To the World is an older MFT set and is embossed with Ranger Fine Gold Embossing Powder.

I will also link to The Flower Challenge - Add Embellishments
