CAS for Seize the Birthday

 Hello friends and happy Thursday.

It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nancy has chosen Clean and Simple (CAS) for our topping option this time.

I used my new SU Fresh Cut Flowers stamp and die set.  The flowers are colored with SU Blends - Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  After die cutting them I mounted them with foam tape on a panel embossed with SU Subtle EF (retired).  The sentiment is from Happy Thoughts (retired), die cut with a stitched oval and mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the great cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday with Sparkle

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today. I made this one for The Flower Challenge - Add Sparkle.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Florals 7 for the flowers and leaves.  The flowers are cut from white and I blended Blushing Bride ink in the centers and layered them together.  I added sparkly gems to the centers.  The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz card and I  inked the edges with Pear Pizzazz ink.  The white panel is embossed with my new Altenew Waffled Diamonds EF and mounted on a piece of pink dotted paper from my stash.  The sentiment from Stampendous Brushed Messages is embossed with silver embossing powder, and die cut with a stitched oval die.  I mounted the sentiment with foam tape.  The flowers are glued only in the center and the leaves glued under the petals.

This photo shows the sparkle from the embossing and the pretty gems (from Hobby Lobby).

I will also link to Darnell's MYNBUS as this is the first time I have used the Altenew EF.

Just Us Girls - Color Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I made with some new dies I just received.  I used the colors from Just Us Girls Color Week.

I used my new PTI Lotty Dotty die to cut the white panel and layered it over a brown panel.  The sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts (retired) was stamped in brown ink.  The flower is from my new Creative Expressions Florals 7 die.  I cut it in Pumpkin Pie and then inked the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink.  The flower center is from a SU set and cut in the same brown cardstock. The leaves are die cut in green with PTI Into The Blooms: Dahlia dies.  I inked the edges with green ink.

I will also link to Darnell's MYNBUS as I have not used the dies before.

Happy Birthday for JUGS

Hello friends.  This is my second post today, scroll down for STB post.

I was sorting through some stamps and papers and came across this older SU set Honeycomb Happiness and remembered JUGS challenge Repetition, Repetition, Repetition, so I used the ice cream cone in this set to make my card.

I stamped 3 of the ice cream cones, colored them with SU Blends - Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue, and Crumb Cake for the cone part.  I mounted these on 3 stitched circle die cuts and them mounted the circles with foam tape to the pattern paper which is from a retired SU Ice Cream Corner pack.  The sentiment is from Sweet Ice Cream (retired).  I fussy cut it and mounted it with foam tape also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Food

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and the topping option this time is food, glorious food, which was previously chosen by our lovely teammate Lindsey, who passed away recently.

I was going through my stamps and paper recently and came across this cute stamp by Penny Black called Sweet Thing.  I thought it would be perfect for the topping option with that big cupcake.  The paper is some I have had for a loooong time but was perfect with the image.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics.  I then die cut the image with a stitched circle die and a mat from dark brown cardstock. She is mounted with foam tape. The pattern paper is also matted with the same brown.  The white panel is embossed with SU Timeworn Type EF and the sentiment is from SU Peaceful Moements, also cut with a circle die and mounted with foam tape.

Don't forget to check out all the fabulous cards by the design team over at Seize the Birthday.

CAS Christmas Card Challenge for September

Hello friends.  I am thrilled to be guest designing for CAS Christmas Card Challenge for Septermber. It is never too early to start making those Christmas cards and be ready in December.

The challenge this month is Sparkle and/or Shine.

I have shine and a little sparkle on my card.

I used an older Sizzix EF to emboss the white panel and stamped a sentiment from SU Poinsettia Petals in the flat section.  The pretty poinsettia and leaves, from the matching dies in the Poinsettia Petals set, are cut with red and green mirror card by Tonic Studios.  I die cut 2 of the poinsettias and layered them, then added a sparkly gold gem to the center.  I love the embossed impression on the poinsettia and leaves.  The leaves are glued under the petals of the poinsettia.

I hope you check out all the great shiny and sparkly cards by the team over at CAS Christmas Card Challenge.
