Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  Today I have an anniversary card to share.  I made this for my sister and brother-in-law's anniversary yesterday

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Watercooler Rockers at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

.

I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz die on the white panel and laid it over MFT Woodgrain Whimsy paper in a pretty blue color.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Many Mates set.  The flowers are fussy cut from the new SU True Love DSP (available Jan. 5th - this paper is so pretty with several sheets of black & white flowers and also lovely patterns).  I colored the flowers with Flirty Flamingo Blends and the leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends.  I glued the flowers together, overlapping them a little, and then mounted them with foam tape.  I really like the light blue and pink together.

I will link this to the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Birthday Wishes for the Color Hues

Hello Friends.  I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.  I have a birthday card for a friend that I am sharing today.

I had this pretty flower and leaves form Altenew's Beautiful Day already colored with markers.  I embossed a white panel with SU Dainty Diamonds EF.  The turquoise banner was already embossed and die cut, as was the sentiment oval (SU Fancy Phrases), so all I had to do was cut the card base, the embossed panel and then put it all together.  I added a turquoise rhinestone to the flower center and scattered some small rhinestones around.

I will link to the Color Hues Challenge - Blue and Green,

Last Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I am sharing my last Christmas cards for 2020.  These are made for my 3 great-granddaughters.  They are made with the gift card pocket on the inside front panel but I will be putting money in them. 😀

These cute little elves are from CC Designs.  I had to copy and resize them on my printer to fit the die-cut mats, which are cut with my Cricut, then fussy cut the elves out.   The elves are mounted with foam tape.  The candy stripe paper is by The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).  The corners of the inside white mat are punched with a SU punch.

I will link to Christmas Kickstart Challenge #45 - If It's Christmassy, Link it Up!.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day and I wish you all a very happy and MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a safe and healthy NEW YEAR.

I really like the finished card and will have to make more of these manly cards.

Happiest of Birthdays

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I used the challenge at CAS Mix Up - Off the Edge.

I stamped this pretty floral image from Gina K. Designs You Make Me Smile in Staz-On ink on Bristol Smooth card.  I used my waterbrush with Barn Door and Peeled Paint DI to color the image.  I then added a pale blue shadow around the image.  Of course I got an ink drop on the panel so added some pretty gems to cover it. (I do need to practice more with my watercoloring).  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blooms (retired). I mounted this panel to a thin green mat and then to my card base.

I will also link this to The Flower Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Happy Birthday for The Flower Challenge

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for The Flower Challenge.

I stamped the flower image from Gina K/Hero Arts Friendship Blooms across the corner of the main panel.  I colored them with SU Pumpkin Pie  and Granny Apple Green Blends, then shaded around them with my water brush and a lt. blue ink.  I had an ink smudge so I had to add the pretty gems and I couldn't just use one. :).  The sentiment is from SU Magnolia Blooms set.  This panel is matted with a thin Pumpkin Pie Mat and then added to the card base.

This is my first time using this set so I will link it to the NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff)  challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Sparkle & Shine

Hello friends and welcome to our last Seize the Birthday callenge for 2020.  Cathy would like us to add sparkle & shine to our cards.  Remember, if you are not into our toppings option you can just make a regular birthday card.

For those pretty flowers I used Altenew Positive Vibes Stamp & Die set. I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with SU Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I actually stamped part of a second flower and fussy cut an extra little flower (the one on the right) and then added it on the left side for a little more fullness .  I added the flowers with foam tape to a white panel embossed with SU Ornate Floral EF.  The sentiment is from SU Fancy Phrases on a die cut from the Pine Boughs set.  I cut 2 Pumpkin pie labels and cut them in half to make the mat for the sentiment label.  I added two rhinestones colored with the dark Pumpkin Pie Blend and added Wink of Stella to all the flowers.

You can see the sparkle and shine from the rhinestones and the Wink of Stella on the flowers in this photo.

Be sure to check out all the lovely cards by our team at Seize the Birthday and join in this fun challenge.

An Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I saw this card (thank you Karen for the inspiration) on Pinterest and thought it would make a perfect anniversary card with the pretty red flowers and die-cut hearts.  I made it for a couple at church.

The only thing I changed was the sentiment and I used a Creative Expressions die to cut it 3 times and layered it for dimension.  The flowers are from SU Painted Poppies, colored with Real Red and Old Olive Blends, and then fussy cut.  The heart die cuts are from SU Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies.  The two flowers are mounted with foam tape and the other items are glued to the white panel which has been embossed with SU Scripty EF.

Merry Christmas for The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas card to share today.  I made this one using the colors at The Paper Players Challenge.

I cut two of the leaf dies in SU Wreath Builder dies from Shaded Spruce.  I cut one of the wreaths in pieces to fill in some of the bear spots of the bottom wreath.  I cut one of the sprig wreaths from vellum and added it to the bottom.  You can see some of it peeking out in places.  I cut 6 of the smallest poinsettia dies from SU Poinsettia Petals set, shaped them with my fingers and layered 2 together.  I added 3 small gold beads to the centers and added them to my wreath.  The bow is a die from The Greetery.  I added the wreath to a white panel that is embossed with a  Sizzix 3D embossing folder that kind of looked like a paneled door to me so I thought it was a good background for the wreath.  The sentiment is cut from gold foil paper with a Creative Expressions die.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day and are staying safe.

CAS Christmas Challenge

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Non-traditional Colors.

I die cut the ornaments from SU Delicate Ornaments (retired) with Rose and Turquoise Glitzy Glitter cardstock from an older DCWV 6x6 pad.  I die cut the ornament tops and sentiment (Memory Box) from gold foil.  I mounted the ornaments with tiny pieces of foam tape to a white panel embossed with pine branch dies.  Then I added gold twine to hang the ornaments and taped it on the back of the panel.  This panel was added to a thin Rococo Rose mat and then to my card base.

Happy Birthday for Just Us Girls Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made it for a young 4 yr. old boy at church using the JUGS Challenge - Word Die Cuts.

I used SU Happy dies to cut the Happy in Crumb Cake and Black and offset the black to give it a shadow.  I stamped this cute image from SU From All of Us and colored it with alcohol markers.  I added green to the bottom for grass and then sponged some lt. blue ink for the sky around the image.  I cut this down and layered it over the top of the die cut word.  I stamped Birthday from a different set and them layered this over the bottom of Happy.  I matted this on a piece of cardstock from my stash and then to my card base.

Birthday Wishes for Color Hues

Hello friends.  I am delighted to be guest designing for Color Hues 5th challenge - Yellow & Kraft

I used SU Birch Background stamped in Crumb Cake ink (Kraft) and matted with Crumb Cake card.  The sentiment from SU Fancy Phrases was stamped in Early Espresso ink and punched with SU Tailored Tag punch.  I also punched two Crumb Cake tags and cut them in half vertically and horizontially to make the mat.  I stamped the small flowers from SU Celebrate Sunflowers and die cut them with the matching dies.  The open  leaves are also from that die set.  I colored the flowers with Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake blends and mounted them with foam tape.  The sentiment is also mounted with foam tape.  I colored 3 small white pearls with the dark Daffodil Delight Blend and added them for a little bling on the top portion of the card..

Saddle Up & Celebrate

Hello friends.  Today I have a birthday card to share.  This is for a 3 year old at church.  Her family has horses and they all ride, so I thought this image was perfect for her.

The image and sentiment are from MFT  Saddle Up & Celebrate.  I colored the image with Copics and die cut it with the matching die.  I used a white stitched circle die cut and stamped some grass, with a very old stamp, then sponged the green over it.  I also sponged some lt. blue for the sky and then mounted the cowgirl with foam tape.  The circle is also mounted with foam tape.  The pattern papers are from my scraps and matched the coloring perfectly.  The white panel is embossed with SU Stone EF (retired).  I flagged the ends of the sentiment banner with a punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Texture

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and this time Shirley would like us to add texture to our cards. Just remember this is an option and the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.

For texture I made a panel using MFT Small Brick Wall stencil and Golden Light Molding Paste. I added a drop of re-inker to color the paste for texture on the brick wall.  I let this dry while stamping and die cutting the pretty MFT Floral Focus set.  I snipped the flower in two sections and colored it with SU Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I cut a circle in the top layer with the largest die from SU Layering Circles die set, stamped the sentiment (Stampabilities) and then embossed it with SU Subtle EF.  Love the texture from this EF.  You can click on the photo to get a better view of the texture. I mounted the flowers and top panel with foam tape for dimension.

Now you need to hop over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates. I hope you will be inspired to play along in our fun challenge.

I will also link my card up at The Flower Challenge - Circle/Circles

Another Anniversary Card

This is my second post today.  I needed another anniversary card for a young couple at church and this is what I came up with.

I stamped MFT Floral Focus twice and colored with Copics.  It is a large stamp and has two sections that can easily be snipped apart, and I did after I die cut them with the matching die..  I used only a small flower from one section for the top corner.  I die cut PTI Bold Borders Flare die from white card and placed the flowers in opposite corners.  I added small white pearls in the small circles of the die cut.  The sentiment is from SU Many Mates.

I will link this to The Flower Challenge -Circle/Circles as there are a lot of small circles in the frame die cut, even though they are mostly covered with pearls..  (I hope that counts).

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Happy Anniversary for the Color Hues

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share with you today.  I used the colors from the Color Hues Challenge for this one.

For my card I used Seaside Spray and Pumpkin Pie Blends to color the flower from SU So Much Love and then fussy cut the flower.  The blue paper is Seaside Spray and the orange stripe is a scrap from my stash, which matches the flower perfectly.  I glued these papers on a white panel embossed with SU Tasteful Textures EF and mounted it to my card base.  I die cut the circle with a SU Stitched Circle die and stamped the sentiment from SU Many Mates. I mounted the circle and flower with foam tape and then added 3 small Seaside Spray faceted gems.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this for a sweet couple at church using the Flower Challenge - Circle/Circles challenge.

It is also their 4th Birthday challenge.  Congratulations to the Flower Challenge.

Here is my card.

The white panel is embossed with QuicKutz Polka Dots EF (lots of circles there).  I then die cut the white circle and black scallop circle mat with SU Layering Circles dies.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Many Mates on the circle and mounted it with foam tape.  The flower from SU So Much Love is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Calypso Coral and Old Olive Blends.  I added foam tape to the lower portion of the flower and glued the top portion to the circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas for The Color Hues challenge

Hello friends.  I finally had a chance to make a card for the Color Hues Challenge - Cream & Gold.

YEA, my card was the winner at the Color Hues.

I had the cream/gold dotted paper in my stash so used it and matted with gold foil.  I stamped and embossed the middle and small poinsettia layers from SU Poinsettia Petals and the sentiment from SU Perfectly Plaid with gold embossing power.  I made two of the middle layer and one of the small layer and then shaped the petals and glued the layers together.  I die cut the center from gold foil also. The sentiment panel is die cut with a Nested Labels die and mounted with foam tape.  I glued the flower to the left side of the label and then added two cream die cut leaves and two of the berry sprays cut from gold foil.  I was really pleased with the final card and was glad I got to join in the fun challenge over at the Color Hues.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

JoAnn
