Just Us Girls #834

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the JUGS #834 Challenge - CASE a DT

ETA: Thanks to JUGS for the Shout Out on my card.

The DT have some wonderful cards but I was drawn to Bobby's beautiful card and made my card inspired by her card.

I like the way Bobby had the flowers in the frame and ink blended the background.  I used Spellbiners Open Lace Frame and cut the Decorative Lattice in the center.  I blended Bundled Sage DOI in the center of the card base and them glued the frame over it.  The flowers are from Waffle Flower Tulips colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut the image and mounted it with foam tape over the trellis frame.  I masked each word on the sentiment and stamped Wishes under Birthday so it would fit the space better, fussy cut it, and then mounted it with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Seize the Birthday - Square Card & Non-White Base

Hello friends.  I have been under the weather for a couple of weeks and am finally up to making a card just in time for our new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda wants us to make a Square Card using a Non-White Base.

For my card I made a 5-1/4" square card using Crumb Cake.  I them embossed a cream panel with Spellbinders Diamond Plaid EF.  I had the flowers fussy cut from some older SU pattern paper so I colored them with SU Blends - Crisp Cantaloupe & Calypso Coral for the flowers and Soft Succulent for the leaves.  I mounted them with foam tape to the embossed panel, then added Memory Box Happy Birthday Posh Script die cut from Calypso Coral and my card was done.

Be sure to check out what the Team and our Party Guest have created for this challenge.  Hope to see you in our gallery at Seize the Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.  This one is for a sweet couple at church and I have one more to make for July.

I used Altenew Cute Open Rose dies for the flowers and cut them from a scrap piece of aqua card., then added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) to the centers.  The leaves are cut using a die from a Spellbinders set.  The lt. aqua panel is from my stash and is embossed with Spellbinders Diamond Plaid EF.  I cut the white arch panel and stamped the sentiment from a Stampin Up set and then mounted it with foam tape.  I glued the flowers on and then glued the leaves under the petals and my card was done.

I will add this to the Triple B July Challenge - I always love making floral cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have had a busy week as we had Vacation Bible School at church and I was one of the craft helpers.  Today is the first time I have had to make a card and I was inspired by two challenges:  Color Hues - Pink & Turquoise and Just Us Girls - Dies, Butterfly.  This is the card I came up with using some new to me dies.
The pretty butterfly is from Scrapbook.com Heirloom Butterflies.  I cut the bottom layer from turquoise paper in my stash and the top layer from SU Pretty in Pink.  I added a little color to the middle of the pink layer, then glued it to the turquoise layer after gluing the black body on.  I mounted the butterfly to a panel of SU Smoky Slate embossed with a Paint Texture EF.  I added a thin mat of Basic Gray and them mounted it to my white card base.  The sentiment is from my new Spellbinders Layered Happy Birthday cut from black and turquoise.  I thought about adding some pink enamel dots but left it as is and I like the finished card.

Also linking to Darnell's NBUS challenge as this is the first time using these dies.

Happy Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.  This one is also for a lovely couple at church.  I have several more to make for June.

The pretty flower is from Spellbinders Hello You Floral set cut from SU Petal Pink.  I layered the two flowers together after sponging a little ink in the centers.  The leaves are cut from SU Granny Apple Green.  I snipped some of the leaves off to fit the flower and arranged on my card.  The Evening Evergreen panel was embossed with Altenew Piped Floral Lace 3D EF and mounted to the Basic Beige card base.  I stamped the lacy oval from SU Scalloped Wishes in Crumb Cake and die cut with the matching scallop die.  I stamped a Verve sentiment in the center and mounted it with foam tape.  I added a piece of foam tape to the flower center and glued the stem & leaves down.  I added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby), colored with a brown alcohol maker, to the center of the flower and my card was done..

I will link to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - wedding/anniversary.

Seize the Birthday - Sweet Treats

Hello friends.  It's time for our new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Shirley would like to see Sweet Treats on our cards. Of course, we always have our "Anything Goes" option.

The cute cupcake on the stand is from My Favorite Things Mice Day to Celebrate.  After stamping the image, I colored it with Copics and die cut with the matching die.  The banners are also from the same stamp & die set.  I embossed the pink panel with Spellbinders Balloons & Banners 3D EF of the Month from May 2023.  After coloring the die cut banners, they fit over the embossed banners.  The die cut oval was blended with DOI and glued to the pink panel,  The cupcake was mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Charming Day stamp set, fussy cut and mounted with foam tape also.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join in our fun challenge.

Will also share this at Addicted to Stamps and More - Birthdays.

Congratulations

Hello friends.  I made this card for my granddaughter who got married recently and I hadn't shared it yet, so here it is.

I used Spellbinders Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate, cut from white and SU Basic Beige, for the background.  I layered them on the white card base using the beige oval for the center layer.  The pretty blue blooms and green leaves are from Spellbinders Club Blooms.  I added rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.  The sentiment is from a stamp set with no name - it was a gift from a friend.  I fussy cut the sentiment and mounted it with foam tape.  The card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, with a few minor changes.  I really like the finished card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Freshly Made Sketches #728

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card made with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Thanks Narelle for a fun sketch.  Lots of inspiration by the team and in the gallery.  I am glad I could get a card done.

I used Spellbinders Club Blooms for the pretty flowers and leaves.  I cut the flowers from SU Pale Papaya (ret) and blended SU Grapefruit Grove Ink (ret) in the centers.  The larger flowers are 2 pieces glued together.  I cut the centers from Soft Suede card.  The leaves are cut from Soft Sea Foam and I blended Bundled Sage DOI on them.  I glued the flowers and leaves on a panel of SU Basic Beige embossed with SU Cross-Hatch EF, and then to the white card base.  The sentiment is from an older SU set, stamped in Soft Suede ink and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

The Paper Players #777

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I made this one for the Paper Players Challenge #777 - Clean and Simple with Florals.   You know I had to play since the theme was florals - my favorite kind of card to make.

I do have a hard time with clean and simple, but I managed to to do it with Spellbinders Layered Anemone dies.  I have had the dies for a while but I think this is the first time I have used them.  I cut the blooms from a peachy pink from my stash and blended a little Saltwater Taffy DOI in the centers before gluing them together.  The stems and leaves are cut from SU Garden Green and I also blended Bundled Sage DOI on the edges to lighten them a little.  The leaves are actually from a Simon Says Stamp die set, as is the flower centers cut from SU Daffodil Delight.  I mounted the flowers with foam tape to a panel embossed with SU Dainty Delight EF (ret.) and then glued the stems and leaves on.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts stamped in Garden Green, die cut with the matching die and mounted with foam tape.  The whole panel was glued to the card base. That's it for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  So glad you stopped by.  I am working on Anniversary cards for April and have several to make - this is the first one.  I was inspired by this card on Pinterest but I changed the colors and sentiment.

I used Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies for the pretty blooms die cut from a pale blue and then blended SU Baha Breeze (ret.) ink in the centers before gluing them together.  I also cut an extra layer of the middle bloom and layered it.  I cut the leaves from SU Granny Apple Green.  The white panels are cut with Spellbinders Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate and the center panel is mounted with foam tape.  They are mounted to a panel of blue from my stash, then to the white card base.  The sentiment is from an older set from Creative Worship Stamps. with foam tape in the center as the smaller flowers have foam tape under them.  I also blended ink on the top layer of the flower center before gluing to the white layer, then to the flowers.  I really love the finished card.

I will link to the Triple B March Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Thinking of You

Hello friends.  I have a new card to share today.  I made this one for a friend who recently had knee surgery.  I used the Color Hues Challenge colors of green and gold, and no flowers. 😃

The pattern paper is from a Honey Bee Christmas pad.  I like that the green had the gold stripes in it.  I used mat gold foil card to cut the frame (Recollections) and the strip from Spellbinders Ribbon & Trim dies.  The frame die cuts out the center so I had to cut it out of white also to stamp the sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts (ret.).  I mounted the white oval with foam tape to the center of the gold frame after gluing the strip and frame down.  I added 3 small gold beads for a little bling.  I think the card is clean and simple but elegant.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS #84 as this is the first time I have used both die sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

JoAnn

Anniversary Card #4 for March

Hello friends.  Well, I am almost done with March Anniversary cards.  This is #4 and I have one more to go.

ETA:  Yea!  My card was a Team Pick at Tic Tac Toe.

I used a new set from Gina K. Designs, Ruffled Blooms stamp, die, stencil, and embossing folder to make these pretty flowers.  After stamping them, I used SU Terracotta Tile (center petals) and Grapefruit Grove (large petals) to blend the inks on.  There are two more flower petal stencils that I didn't use as I like them this way.  I used SU Soft Succulent for the leaves (sorry, all inks are ret.).  I die cut them and then embossed with the matching embossing folder.  I embossed a white panel with the new Spellbinders  February 2D EF called Spring Stripes.  It kind of looks like rows of wonky hearts and I thought it would make a pretty background for the blooms.  The flowers have a lot of texture so I just glued them to the panel and then glued the sentiment over them.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time for the flower set and embossing folders.

and to Addicted to Stamps and More - Diecuts and/or Stencils (I used both)

I will also add it to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (middle row down - die cutting, ink blending, friendship) as it is for friends' anniversary - I hope that qualifies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today and I see Krafty Chicks is looking for birthday cards so I will share my card there.

I stamped the flowers from SU Christmas Greenery and colored them with SU Flirty Flamingo and Soft Succulent (ret.) Blends.  I then cut them with a Spellbinders Emerald Cut Labels and Tag die.  I embossed a panel of Lost Lagoon with SU Peaceful Greenery 3D EF and them mounted the flower panel with foam tape.  This panel was glued to a white card base.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set (I love the font in this sentiment) and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Card #2

Hello friends.  This is the 2nd anniversary card for March.  It is for good friends and she likes purple so that is the colors I used.
I cut a panel of SU Highland Heather and embossed it with Spellbinders Cross My Heart EF, then mounted it to a white card base.  The flowers and foliage are made with Spellbinders Club Blooms and cut from SU Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.  The white arch is cut with a stitched die from Amazon.  I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and mounted it with foam tape.  I then arranged the flowers and foliage along the bottom of the arch and the card was done.  I really like the finished card and I think my friend will also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Festive Friday

Hello friends.  I saw Festive Friday's Inspo List and wanted to play along.

I didn't make a Valentine card but did make a Birthday card using pink, gray, heart gems, die cuts, and hearts.
I embossed a panel of lt. gray using Spellbinders Cross My Heart EF and mounted to a white card base.  The flowers were made with the smallest flower die in Papertrey Ink's Into the Blooms: Dahlia die set.  I cut 6 flowers, blended SU Flirty Flamingo ink in the centers, shaped them with my stylus and glued two layers together.  The flower centers were cut from yellow using another flower die.  The stem and leaves were cut with a die from a friend (no name).  I clipped some leaves and cut extra leaves to place around the flowers.  After gluing the stem, leaves and flowers on, I added some Altenew white heart gems.  The sentiment is from SU Go To Greetings.  I fussy cut around it and added small strips of foam tape to mount it to the card.

I will also add this to the Triple B Challenge for February.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to make my card, but made a regular A2 size instead of a square.

ETA:  My card was one of those chosen as a Princess at Freshly Made Sketches.

I cut a strip of SU Misty Moonlight and embossed it with Altenew Textured Tiles EF and glued it on the left side of the card.  The flowers and stem/leaves were made with Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral.  I cut the flowers from SU Cloud Cover and blended Blueberry Bushel ink over the layers and shaped them with my stylus before gluing together.  I added the smaller flower to make it a fuller bloom, and then added the fancy rhinestone to the centers.  The stem & leaves were cut from Granny Apple Green and I blended a darker ink to the bottom edges of the leaves.  I cut the stem and leaves apart and placed them where I wanted to give it a circular feel..  The sentiment is from a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set and is mounted with foam tape.  This card will be going to a couple at church.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  I saw Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge was for embossing using Spellbinder's EF so I wanted to play along.  I have several anniversary cards to make so I made this one using Spellbinders Argyle Plaid EF and their Cosmos dies.

I embossed a piece of SU Balmy Blue and glued to the card front.  Then I die cut the flowers from SU Flirty Flamingo and shaped the petals with my stylus before gluing the 2 layers together.  I used a die from another set for the yellow centers.  The sprigs were cut from SU Granny Apple Green and I blended a little DOI over them.  I glued the flowers on and then glued the sprigs under the petals.  The sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps,  I stamped it on a narrow strip of white and angled the ends, then mounted it with foam tape.

I will also link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for FMS

Hello friends.  I love the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and had to play along.  I finally decided on which papers I wanted to use and this is what I came up with.

I used pattern paper from SU Lily Pond Lane (ret.) to cut the slanted panel.  I used Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms to cut the stems (Mossy Meadow) and flowers (white) to resemble the ones in the paper.  I trimmed some of the stems off the main one and left 3, to fit the flowers and like some of the flowers in the pattern paper.  I glued the stems along the bottom edge and then added a strip of black.  The sentiment is from an older SU set, but I love the font and the size of it, so I use it quite often.  After gluing the flowers on, I added clear rhinestones to the centers and the card was done.  I like the finished card and will be sending it to a friend soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Sister's Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am sharing the anniversary card I made for my sister and BIL.  She has received it and loved it.  Now,  it is on to making birthday cards. :)

I used Altenew Garden Cosmos dies for the pretty flowers.  I cut them from SU Flirty Flamingo and then used Flirty Flamingo Blends to flick ink in the centers and shaped the petals with a stylus before layering them together.  I used a fine tip black marker to dot the centers.  I die cut the stems from SU Pear Pizzazz and then layered them all together on an MFT Stitched Mini Scallop die cut.  The Misty Moonlight panel is die cut with a scallop die from MFT Blueprints 20 die and embossed with Spellbinders Cross My Heart EF, then glued to the white card base.  I then mounted the white panel to the card with foam tape.  The sentiment is from an older stamp with no name.  I cut it and flagged the end, then mounted it with foam tape.

I will link to Can You Handle the Pressure (their optional twist is Winter Blues)   I did use blue.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Card for Two Challenges

Hello friends.  I was inspired by two challenges for my birthday card today.  Color Hues - Red & Gray and Just Us Girls - Use a Coverplate Die.

ETA:  My card was the winner at Color Hues.

I used Pinkfresh Studios Sparkling Diamonds Coverplate to cut a panel of SU Smokey Slate, trimmed the edges and mounted it on a white card base.  I then used foam tape to mount a white panel cut with a die from Spellbinders Emerald Cut Labels and Tag set. I used Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies to cut the flowers from SU Real Red and the leaves from SU Basic Gray.  I inked the edges of the flowers with SU Cherry Cobbler before assembling them.  For the large flower I added another layer using the smaller flower, then added the centers cut from white and Smokey Slate.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Go To Greetings, fussy cut it and mounted it with foam tape and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
