Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.  I made this one using the sketch at The Paper Players.

ETA: My card was chosen as one of the A Cut Above selections at The Paper Players.

The pretty flower is from SU Irresistible Blooms embossed in white on Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  The leaves are embossed on Just Jade cardstock.  I used the matching dies to die cut the images.  The pattern paper is from a retired SU pack (All Together).  I mounted them on a white panel embossed with Taylored Expressions Weathered EF and then to the white card base.  I embossed the sentiment from SU Many Mates in white on the black strip.  The flower is mounted with foam tape and the leaves glued under the edges.

New Baby Album

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a baby album I made for a friend that requested it for her granddaughter.  There are lots of photos so hope you enjoy looking.  The photos are in order of the pages and some pages have flaps that open.  The last photo is of the open album with the baby's name on the spine.  I used several dies, punches and a couple of stamps.

Some of the left over papers were used for this card.
Left me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy stamping/crafting.

Happy Anniversary for FMS

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for a couple at church using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Princess Picks at FMS. Thank you Karren.

I used Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms die set, cutting the large flower and 3 small flowers from white and then blending SU Tahitian Tide ink in the centers.  The small buds are cut from Tahitian Tide Cardstock.  The leaves and stems are cut from a scrap of lt. green on my desk.  I mounted these to a panel die cut with a SU Scallop Contours die.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Celebrating You.  I glued a strip of Tahitian Tide Pattern Paper across the card base and then mounted the die cut panel with foam tape.  The large flower is also mounted with foam tape.  I really like the finished card and hope you do also.

Make My Monday #197 - P is for...

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge at Make My Monday and Pamela has chosen P is for...

My first thoughts were pink or purple so I went with pink as I had these pretty pink pattern papers on my desk from a mini album I had made.

I used some scrap pieces of 2 shades of pink to die cut the Spellbinders Club Blooms (Jan. Large Die of the Month Club).  I die cut 2 of the flowers from a lighter pink and the buds from a slightly darker pink.  The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz and the stems from Soft Sea Foam.  All of these were scrap pieces so it worked together perfectly.  I already had the stitched oval die cut so I stamped the sentiment from  SU Peaceful Moments.  The sentiment oval and large flower are mounted with foam tape and I glued the leaves and bud stems under the edges.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the design team and join in our fun challenge.  What can you think of with the letter P?

Things in a Garden for STB

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nancy has chosen Things in a Garden for our "Topping" option this time.

I thought about it for a while and I have used this new stamp set from SU Scenic Garden and used three of the images - the tall flower stems on the left, the stone pebbles, and the scenic garden bench with all the flower stems around it.  I colored the images with SU Blends then blended a lt. blue ink and a green ink for the sky and ground.  I thought it need a couple of butterflies flying around in the garden so I looked through my old stamp sets and found the tiny butterflies.  I colored them with SU Stamp & Write markers (not Blends), huffed on them and stamped them on a white scrap.  I fussy cut them and glued just the bodies on the scenic panel.  The sentiment is also from the same retired SU set as the butterflies.

Now check out all the great creations by the design team and our party guests over at Seize the Birthday.  I can't wait to see what you created.

Another Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have another birthday card to share.

I used SU Two-Tone Flora for the pretty blooms stamped in Rich Razzleberry.  I don't use this color very often but thought it would be a nice change.  I stamped the detail image full strength and then the full bloom by stamping off once for the lighter shade.  The die cut leaves are from two different SU sets.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set stamped on a Scalloped Contours die cut.  The Rich Razzleberry background is cut with Spellbinders Candy Stripes die.  I mounted the sentiment panel and the blooms with foam tape and glued the leaves under them.

Happy Birthday in Coral

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share.  I made this one with the AAA Birthday Challenge - Stripes and/or Dots in mind.

I used a new stamp set from SU called Amazing Year for the pretty floral image.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with SU Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I then die cut the image with a stitched circle die from SU Stylish Shapes.  The sentiment banner is also cut with a Stylish Shapes die.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set but I love the font style.  The Calypso Coral panel is embossed with an older SU EF called Stripes.  You can see the dimension of the embossing better in the photo below.

The image panel and the sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Happy Birthday with Two Tone Flora

Hello friends.  I made a birthday card using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I used SU Two Tone Floral stamps and dies for the pretty yellow blooms and the leaves.  The blooms are stamped in Crushed Curry and So Safron and the leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz on Pear Pizzazz card.  The Soft Sea Foam panel is embossed with the Tasteful Textile EF.  I added the white strip across the bottom after stamping the sentiment from an older SU set.  I mounted the blooms with foam tape and glued the leaves under the edges.  I added two yellow gems for the final touch.

Spring Colors for Make My Monday

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Make My Monday and this time we are looking for Spring colors.

I went with yellow, green and pink as my Spring colors and used Spellbinders Club Blooms (January Large Die of the Month Club) to die cut the pretty flowers and leaves.  After cutting the flowers I sponged a darker yellow ink in the centers, layered them together and added a frosty gem to the centers.  I used 2 shades of green for the leaves and stem and then glued the pink buds on.  I glued these to a panel embossed with Spellbinders Loops EF.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set and cut with a stitched banner die.  I mounted it with foam tape and glued the panel to my white card base.

I hope you check out all the inspiration by the designers and join in our fun challenge.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have another birthday card to add to my stash as I am always needing them.

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Sparkling Diamonds Cover Plate Die for the lt. blue background, I think it is so pretty.  The flowers and leaves are cut with PTI Into The Blooms - Dahlia; cut from paper from my stash.  I cut 2 of the smallest layer for the small flower and then inked the edges of all the petals before gluing them together.  I added rhinestone gems (Hobby Lobby) to the centers.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set and die cut with Honey Bee Scallop A2 Honey Cuts.  I mounted the sentiment panel with foam tape and glued the flowers and leaves on opposite corners.

I will link this to the following challenges:

Card for a Child

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Linda has chosen the topping option of Card for a Child.

I also would like to welcome our Surprise Party Guest Hilary WrightHope you will check out her blog and her amazing creations.

I used this cute set from MFT called Purr-fect Birthday for the images.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I die cut them with the matching dies and then trimmed some of white around them.  For the background I blended DOI Broken China and Faded Jeans and then sprinkled water drops and blotted with a tissue.  I glued a piece of green pattern paper along the bottom for the grass and mounted the panel to a blue mat.  The sentiment is from SU Best Day. After stamping the sentiment, I fussy cut around it and mounted it with foam tape.  The images are also mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the fun cards by the team and I hope to see you in our gallery at Seize the Birthday.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for my step-daughter who lives in Texas.

I used Spellbinders Club Blooms for the pretty flowers and leaves.  The flowers are cut from SU Seaside Spray.  I blended a darker blue ink in the centers, shaped the petals and then layered them. The yellow centers are die cut with a lt. yellow from my stash.  I also cut 3 of the small blooms from white and added the yellow centers. The leaves are cut from a Recollections green pack.  The sentiment is from an older SU set Rose Wonder, as is the die used to cut it.  I mounted the sentiments and arranged the flowers on a Sahara Sand panel embossed with SSS Spun Glass EF.  I added a thin black mat and mounted it to the white card base.
