Happy Anniversary for Mojo Sketch 516

I have an anniversary card I made for friends using Julie's Mojo Monday Sketch 516.

The pattern papers are from Parklane Tea Blossoms 12x12 pad I got during a recent shopping trip to JoAnn's.  The colors and prints are so pretty in this pad.  I will be using them again.  The sentiment is from a stamp I got on E-Bay.  I stamped it in Old Olive to match the scallop Old Olive mat.  The leaves in the paper are a similar shade.  This panel is mounted with foam tape.  I used Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose and matching dies for the flower.  I stamped the flower with Momento London Fog ink and sponged SU Blushing Bride ink over the petals.  I shaped them and offset the layers.  I colored the center with a yellow marker.  I also added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen over the flower center and the ends of the petals, and also over the sentiment.  It is so pretty and sparkly in person.
I tried to take a photo to show how it sparkles.  The colors are off but you can see the sparkle here. The leaves are from SU Painted Seasons as I thought they matched the leaves in the DSP.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Texture

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of adding texture on our birthday project.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.
I used the SU Basket Weave EF to add texture to my white panel - love the texture this EF adds.
The flowers and leaves are from the Painted Seasons set that was only available during SU Sale-a-Bration.  I stamped the flowers in Mango Melody and added the center from Daisy Delight, stamped with Crumb Cake ink.  The leaves are stamped with Pear Pizzazz.  The sentiment is from All That You Are.  The circle mat and card base are Mango Melody.  I mounted the flowers and the sentiment with foam tape.

Now you should check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join in our fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Stencil Challenge - Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I made this card for the CAS Stencil Challenge  - Embossing Pastes/Gels.
For my card I used a Tim Holtz Plaid stencil and Finnabair Snowflake Paste, which has glitter in it.  I added a drop of SU Petal Pink re-inker to a small amount of the paste and mixed it good, then spread it over the angled stencil in a small area.  It really sparkles in person but doesn't show up in the photo.
After it dried I mounted it to a Petal Pink mat cut with a scallop rectangle die.  The sentiment is from SU All That You Are stamped in Soft Suede ink to match the center of the flower.  The flower is from SU Painted Seasons - I love the flowers in this set - stamped in Grapefruit Grove ink, stamped off once, for a lighter shade that goes with the Petal Pink.  The leaves from the same set are stamped with Pear Pizzazz.  I die cut them with the matching dies and mounted the flower with foam tape.  The flower center from the Daisy Delight set is stamped with Soft Suede ink and punched with a 1/2" circle punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for JUGS

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made using the colors of the Just Us Girls Challenge and will be sending to a friend.
The image and the leaf border die cut are from SU Wonderful Romance stamps and matching dies.  I colored the image with SU Blends - Calypso Coral (orange) and Granny Apple Green.  I die cut it and mounted it with foam tape.  I also added small yellow pearls to the centers of the flowers and a double bow with White Baker's Twine.  The sentiment is from SU All That You Are.  I stamped it at an angle to blend with the shape of the floral image.  The yellow dotted paper is from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I really appreciate it when you take time to leave me a comment.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Easter

Hallelujah, Christ has risen indeed.  I hope everyone had a blessed day.

I am sharing an Easter card I made for our pastor and his wife.
The card base is Smokey Slate and I stamped the images with Smokey Slate ink.  The images and the crosses are from SU Hold on to Hope and Cross of Hope stamp and die sets.  The sentiment is from another stamp set.  I inked the banner and then took off the ink from the included sentiment.  After stamping the banner, I then added the new sentiment.  I cut the two crosses and the scalloped mat from silver foil paper.  The white panel is embossed with the SU Pinewood Planks EF.  The scalloped panel and the sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate it when you take time to leave a comment.

Another Anniversary Card

Hello Friends.  I am sharing another anniversary card I made for some dear friends.
I used the challenge at Just Us Girls - Off the Edge, for my card inspiration.
I used my new stamp & die combo by Gemini called Peony.  It has the stamp and two edge dies to cut out the whole image, but I just used one on the outside edge.   I got this on a shopping trip to Hobby Lobby.  I used Altenew markers to color the image (my first time using them).  The sentiment is from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments. I love the font in this set and have used it quite a few times.  I added some pink glitter gemstones for a little glitz.  I then added some Recollections pattern paper to the inside of my card and also a narrow strip on the top of the card for balance.  I really like the way my card turned out.

I saw the Time Out Challenges was calling for embellishments, and one layer cards and I am joining them as my card fits both categories.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hello Friends.  A friendly reminder that there is only 1 week left to join in the fun over at CAS Christmas challenge where April's theme is Elf.

I have really enjoyed being the Guest Designer for April and look forward to playing in their future challenges.  It is always great to get your Christmas cards done before the December rush.  Thank you again to all the CAS Christmas team for such a warm welcome.

Here is my card with this cute elf and sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs Merry Makers.  I stamped him on a panel cut with a stitched rectangle die and colored him with Copics.  I then sponged lt. blue ink around him.  The Stitched Circle Frame is from MFT and mounted over the image.  The sentiment is stamped in SU Poppy Parade ink.  I also added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen over the Christmas bulbs.

Loads of Love

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card requested by my sister for her great-granddaughter, who loves to garden with her mom.
I used the cute MFT Loads of Thanks set, stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I used an old grass stamp to add the grass and lt. blue ink and a Taylored Expressions Cloud border die for the clouds.  I cut it with a stitched rectangle die and added a white mat.  The sentiment is a combination of two stamps from the set.  I masked parts of them to make my sentiment.  I then cut it with an MFT Stitched Fishtail die and added it with foam tape.  The image panel is also mounted with foam tape.  The plaid pattern paper is from JoAnn's.

I am entering this in LeAnne's challange at The Paper Players  - Plaid or Checks

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

Hello Friends and happy Thursday again.  It is time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and this time it is "Anything Goes", as long as it is for for a birthday.

Surprise - no flowers this time. :).  You know I love making floral cards.  My sister requested I make a card for her great-grandson who loves tractors.  I don't have any tractor stamps to I searched my Cricut cartridges and found one on Boys Will be Boys.  I cut it out in the needed colors and pieced it together.  I added vellum for the window area and mounted the tractor with foam tape.  I did some light water coloring on the bottom for the dirt and stamped some grass along the edge of the dirt.  I sponged on clouds with my Taylored Expressions Cloud border die and lt. blue ink.  The sentiment is done on my computer and matted with the same green as the tractor.  I mounted the sentiment with foam tape also.

I am adding this to Simon Say Stamp Wednesday Challenge - No Designer Paper

I hope you check out all the great birthday cards by my teammates, and our Party Guest, Tenia, over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Welcome to the World Little One

I went to a baby shower today and this is the card I made for the expectant mother.  They did not want to find out the sex of the baby so I went with pale yellow and green for my card.
The pattern paper is from an MFT 6x6 pad.  The sentiment and the baby rattles are from a Verve stamp set.  The heart border die is also from Verve, and I used the tiny hearts from the cut out to add to the pattern paper sections.  I die cut the Spellbinders label die and inked around the edges with pale green ink before removing it from the die.  I then stamped the sentiment in the center.  I colored the rattles to match the paper and then mounted them to the sentiment panel, which is mounted  to the card with foam tape.   Lastly, I added a cute mint green twine bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope  you have a wonderful day.
