Color Hues - Silver & Gold

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share - this one is about the true meaning of Christmas.  O Night Divine is one of my favorite hymns (at Christmas and all year long).  I made it using Color Hues colors of gold and silver.

The images and sentiment are from Sweet 'n Sassy O Holy Night.  I stamped them in Versamark Ink and embossed with Silver embossing powder.  This photo shows the shine from the silver and gold.

I matted it with gold foil card.  I wanted to add a little something extra so I looked through my dies and found this corner die from SU Lasting Elegance dies (retired) and it lets the gold show thru more.  I love the final card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a blessed day.

A New Christmas Card

Hello friends. I am working on getting more Christmas cards completed and I love the way this one turned out.

I love the Poinsettia Petals set by SU and have used it again on this card.  I die cut the 3 layers from pink card and shaped the petals with my fingers. I love how it has the embossed veins in it.  I die cut the leaves from SU Soft Succulent.  The white layer is embossed with an older large dots EF and adhered to the card base.  I then added a strip of SU Whimsy & Wonder DSP edged with strips of gold specialty paper.  I die cut the sentiment with Memory Box Special Merry Christmas from gold foil.   I also added two gold foil sprigs cut with the poinsettia die set.  The final touch was 3 small gold beads added to the center of the poinsettia.

and Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies. - actually there is no stamping on this card, it is all dies.

Seize the Birthday - Hobbies/Pastimes

Happy Thanksgiving 2021, Susan Levasseur, WOW NOLA Creations

Hello friends and welcome to our last Seize the Birthday challenge for 2021 and a very Happy Thanksgiving to you.  Lindsey has chosen the "Topping" option of  Hobbies and Pastimes.

Who doesn't like BBQ as a pastime.  My husband used to love to BBQ and he made the best BBQ ribs that would melt in you mouth.  I stamped this sweet Grillin' Girl by My Favorite Things in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics.  I sponged some grass and sky around the image and stamped a few grass sprigs. I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and matted it with Balmy Blue card.  The white panel is die cut with MFT Blueprints 27 die and then embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF.  The sentiment is from another MFT set and mounted with foam tape.

I am sad to say this is TaeEun's last STB challenge with us and we will miss her creativity.  Thank you TaeEun.  Also, a big thanks to Carol for being our party guest the last two months.  Good luck to both of you ladies and we hope to see you in our gallery.

Be sure to check out all the inspiration by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday and I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.

Happy Stamping,

Seize the Birthday - Beverages

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Jules has chosen beverages as the "Toppings" option this time, but if you are not into the "Toppings" option, the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

For my card I used an older Verve set for the pretty cups and the sentiments.  I colored the cups with SU Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake blends, and then fussy cut them.  I die cut MFT Stitched Triple Peek-a-boo Window die from lt. pink cardstock and then embossed it with SU Subtle EF.  I glued this to the card base and then added the cups with foam tape in the windows.  I thought the 3 cups were perfect with the sentiment "Sip, Relax, Repeat".  The sentiments were stamped on the card base with no boo-boos (yea).

Be sure to check our all the designs by our party guest and the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Christmas for CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card to share today.  I am using a Wild Rose Studio stamp (Christmas Teddies) that I have had for several years and this is the first time I have used it.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic Markers and SU Blends. I added dots to the red hat and scarf with a white gel pen.  I then sponged Tumbled Glass DOI around the image for the sky and added a little modeling paste at the bottom for snow.  I die cut a frame with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies, stamped the sentiment from a retired SU set in Real Red, and then mounted the frame with foam tape over the stamped image.  I mounted this to the card base and my card was done.

I am linking to CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Christmas Critters.  This is their last challenge for 2021 and I look forward to next year's challenges.  I love making Christmas cards all year long.

I will also share at Darnell's My NBUS Challenge (Never Before Used Schtuff) since this is the first time I have used this cute stamp.  Thanks Darnell.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Sending Hugs

Hello friends. I have a card to share today that I made for a friend who had back surgery a little while ago and is still recovering.

I used the colors from the Color Hues Challenge - Orange and Brown, to color the flowers from Honey Bee's Cosmos stamp and dies.  I used two flowers from the set and colored them with SU Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake Blends.  I added a little Soft Suede in the centers for the flowers.  I used the Stitched Circles Cover Plate by Reverse Confetti to die cut the white panel and mounted it on a Crumb Cake card base.  I mounted the flowers with foam tape.  The sentiment from SU Eden's Garden is stamped in Early Espresso ink on an oval die cut and mounted to a Crumb Cake scallop oval die cut, then mounted with foam tape to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls - Leaves

Hello friends.  I have a card I made for Just Us Girls - Leaves.

I thought about what leaves I wanted to use and I decided these holly leaves from SU Christmas Gleaming (retired) would be perfect.

I stamped the holly leaves 3 times and colored them with SU Old Olive and Balmy Blue blends and added Wink of Stella to the berries.  I fussy cut the images, as there is no matching die.  I glued them all together overlapping one of the berries, and mounted them with foam tape.  The plaid pattern paper is retired but is mounted on a white panel along with a strip of Night of Navy and Sahara Sand, which is embossed with the Subtle EF.  Merry Christmas is cut from gold foil with a Creative Expressions die and glued to the Sahara Sand panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas for PTI Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas card to share today.  I watched Shauna's video on the PTI Blog here and wanted to make a Christmas card using my PTI stamps and die.  She used Into the Blooms Dahlia for her lovely card, but the dies are out of stock right now so I used my other PTI products.

I used a PTI die for the background - I couldn't find it on their website so it may be discontinued.  The foliage and blooms are from Holiday Greens and the sentiment is from Beautiful Berries Winter (not available).  I stamped the sentiment, the blooms and buds with Cherry Cobbler ink and the greenery with Old Olive and Always Artichoke inks.  The blooms and buds are mounted with foam tape for a little dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this for some friends using the challenge at Tic Tac Toe.

I used the top row across - Sparkle (rhinestones), embossing (the white panel is embossed with the Tastetful Textile EF - after die cutting with a Tim Holtz die) Any Shape Die.  I also used an MFT Fishtail Flag die for the sentiment, (from a retired SU set).  The blue pattern paper is also from a retired SU pad.  The flowers are fussy cut frmo the True Love DSP (retired) and colored with Real Red and Old Olive Blends.  I mounted the flowers and the sentiment with foam tape. I love the final result of my card and hope you do too.
