Another Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.  I used some new goodies to make this card.

For the flowers I used Waffle Flower Layered Poinsettia die and sponged Balmy Blue ink in the centers.  I think it is too pretty to use just at Christmas and it makes such a pretty flower.  I added a clear rhinestone to the centers.  The leaves are from PTI Into the Blooms - Dahlia.  I thought about using the blooms from this set but I already had the Layered Poinsettias inked and layered so used them instead.  The sentiment is from SU Many Mates.  The pattern paper is from my stash and is die cut with an MFT Stitched Border die.

I will link this to the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - All About Occasions.

Be My Valentine

I have a valentine card to share today.  I made this for a couple of challenges and used 3 different SU stamp sets - Meant to Be (top white heart and inside sentiment), Heartfelt (red scallop heart and heart dies), Always in My Heart (for the sentiment and banner die cut).

ETA: My card was chosen as one of the winners at Make the Card Challenge.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Weekly_Winner_Watermark.png

The red panel is embossed with an older Darice EF.  The die cut banner is stamped in Real Red ink and folded on the crease lines.  I glued the folds, added a red rhinestone, and mounted the banner with foam tape.  The hearts are also stamped in Real Red ink and die cut with the matching dies.

Here is a photo of the inside.

Happy Anniversary in Silver & White

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this for some dear friends who will be celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary this month.

I used a new die from Spellbinders - Magnolia Blooms.  It is a 2 piece set and cuts the bottom solid layer and then a detailed cut out layer.  I cut the bottom layer in white and the top cut out layer in silver foil.  I added a little shading to the flowers with a lt. gray marker - I think it makes them stand out better.  I had seen several samples on the Spellbinders blog and loved the way they are colored.  The sentiment is from a Spellbinders hot foil glimmer plate set of sentiments. The flower image and sentiment are both mounted with foam tape. The white panel is embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF.

This photo shoes the sentiment better and all the pretty shine.

I am really pleased with the final card and I think the couple will love it too (she is also a card maker).

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello friends.  I have a wintry card to share today.  I made this card for a couple of challenges.

Just Us Girls - photo week

and also the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (first row down - snowman/snowgirl, white, die cut).

The image is from an older Art Impressions set but I can't find a name on it.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics  I added white fun flock to the penguins hat brims and pom poms.  I also added light molding paste along the bottom for some textured snow.  I sponged lit. blue ink over the top for a sky.  I die cut the image with Lil' Inkers Design Side Stitched Rectangle die and then mounted it to a blue striped pattern paper..  The sentiment is from an older MFT  set (retired). This panel was added to the white card base and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate it when you leave a comment, it makes my day.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Festive Friday Challenge

Hello friends.  I made this birthday card for my son - his birthday is this week, and used the inspo list at Festive Friday Challenge.

Yea, My card was chosen as one of the Faves at Festive Friday.

FF#001 Festive Friday Faves

The image has lots from the list, bird (loon), trees, green, water, masculine, blue.  The image is Loon Scene from Whimsy Stamps.  I just got the stamp and was anxious to use it so it was perfect for the challenge and for my son.  I colored the image with Copics and die cut it with SU Layered Circles dies.  I then matted it with black and mounted it with foam tape.  The blue panel is embossed with SU Tasteful Textile EF.  The sentiment is from another set I had on my desk.  I flagged the ends and mounted it with foam tape also.

I will link to the TicTacToe Challenge - bottom row,  die cut, blue, bird.

and also link to the NBUS challenge as this is the first time I have used this set.

Happy Birthday in Silver, Blue & White

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share that I made for Just Us Girls color challenge. Lt. Blue, Silver and White.

ETA:  My card was chosen as Chic of the Week at JUGS.

I used some lt. blue card from my stash and a hot foil plate by The Greetery.  I matted this with a thin silver mat.  The greeting is also hot foiled with a Spellbinders hot foil plate and matching die to cut it with, then mounted with foam tape.  The flower is Layered Fresh Flowers from Memory Box.  I layered two large and one small flower. The center is cut from the silver foil paper.  The leaves are die cut with SU Stitched Blooms dies.

I took another photo to show the shine and greeting better.
I will also link to Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes With Dies (I have used several different dies)

Seize the Birthday - Embossing

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Barbara has chosen the "Toppings" option of embossing.  It can be dry embossing or wet embossing, your choice.  Of course, the only requirement is that it has be be for a birthday.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

For my card I chose dry embossing and used SU Basket Weave EF (retired).  For the bouquet I used Pinkfresh Studio Modern Layered Florals.  It is a layered stamped set and I think I got it lined up pretty good using my Stamparatus.  I stamped it in Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Mint Macaron and Just Jade inks, then die cut it with the matching die. I mounted the bouquet with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Sweet As a Peach and stamped in Gorgeous Grape.  I flagged the ends and added it with foam tape, just on the ends, over the bouquet.stems.

CAS Christmas - Gold & Silver

Hello friends.  I finally got my card made for the new CAS Christmas Card Challenge - use Silver & Gold.

I had the white panel cut with Pinkfresh Studio Diagonal Stitched Plaid die and decided to use it for the background for my SSS Little Angel die cut from Silver Foil paper.  I kept all the pieces in with score tape on the back.  I also die cut a separate little heart from gold foil and glued it on top.  Memory Box Merry Christmas is cut from Brushed Gold Card and glued below the angel.  I trimmed the white panel down and mounted it on a silver scalloped mat cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 27.  I had die cut the angel from the center of the panel to save paper.   I am really pleased with the final result.

You know how hard it is to photograph shiny foil paper and there is a reflection in the angel die cut so I took another photo to show the shine better.

I will link to the NBUS Challenge as this is my first time using this cute angel die.

CAS Mix Up - Loose Watercoloring

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this card using the loose watercoloring challenge at CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.

I watched several of the linked videos on loose watercoloring before making my card.  I stamped the flower and leaves from Reverse Confetti Peony stamp set in Versamark ink on watercolor paper and embossed them with Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I then brushed the images with water and applied Gansai Tambi watercolors in a rose red and green.   It was fun to watch the watercolors spread over the stamped images.  I did it loosely so some colors got outside of the embossed edges,  I then die cut them with the matching dies.  I mounted the flower with foam tape to the card front and glued the leaves under the edges.  I then stamped the sentiment from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments.  It really is a CAS card - I have a hard time not using layers and embossing, but I like the final result.  I will definitely be doing more of the loose watercoloring technique.

I will also link to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge - I used the center row down (birthday, CAS, sparkle).  The gold embossing sparkles.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Blue and Gray

Hello friends and Happy New Year.  This is Seize the Birthday's first challenge for 2022 and Colleen has chosen Blue and Gray for our "Toppings" option this time. I think blue and gray is a lovely color combination.

I have used PTI Gran's Garden for the flowers and leaves in Balmy Blue and Smokey Slate.  The light shade is stamped off once and the darker shade is full strength Balmy Blue.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  The flowers are mounted with foam tape and the leaves glued to the white panel, which is die cut with The Greetery Deco Frames die.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments Stamp & Die set stamped in Basic Gray ink.  This is all mounted on a Smokey Slate card base.

Be sure to visit the STB blog to see all the fabulous cards by the team and our new Surprise Party Guest,

A New Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  Happy New Year to all.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made it for a young couple at church who is celebrating their anniversary today.

I had the ink blended panel on my table and thought it would be the start of a beautiful card.  I splattered some ink drops on it and then die cut it with SU Scalloped Contours dies.  I die cut the two white flowers with a Tim Holtz die and glued them on the panel.  I added some small enamel dots to the centers of the flowers.  The sentiment is from an older stamp I have had for quite some time and it doesn't have a name on it.  I flagged the ends and mounted it with foam tape.

I will link to the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
