Tidings of Comfort and Joy for the Dynamic Duos #81

It is Saturday and that means it is time for a new challenge at the Dynamic Duos.  This week you are to use Midnight Muse and a color of your choice.  I chose to use Silver with the Midnight Muse.
Here's my card.

The card base is SU Whisper White, a layer of American Crafts Silver Glitter paper and then Midnight Muse DSP (retired).  The snowflakes, frame and sentiment are from Verve's Unto Us set stamped in Midnight Muse ink.  I cut the frame out with Verve's Classy Label Die and mounted it with foam dimensionals.  The snowflakes were cutout with Verve's Reindeer Fun die set.  I added a rhinestone to the center of each snowflake and mounted them with foam dimensionals also.  The ribbon is from SU and I added a silver cord bow to the ribbon bow.

I am also linking my card to Festive Friday Challenge - Use any of their past challenge graphics -I used snowflakes.

Now hop over to the Dynamic Duos and check out the inspiration from the Design Team and join in the challenge.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Christmas Blessings for Merry Monday #85

The challenge for Merry Monday #85 is to create an all white or ivory base card, with brown or kraft for the accents and sentiment.
I used Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles for the 3 layers so my card base is 6-1/4 x 4-1/4", a little larger than the standard size but I love the way it turned out.  Each layer is mounted with foam tape.  I used MFT Smooth White CS.  The sentiment from Verve's Christmas Blessings is stamped in SU Soft Suede ink.  I added some Platinum Liquid Pearls around the oval and some brown ribbon around the middle layer.  The sentiment and the ribbon look black in the photo, but they ARE brown.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments.

O Christmas Tree

This is my card for this week's Merry Monday #84 challenge - to use a tree and some bling.
I made a center-step card, my first one.  I have been wanting to try this technique for awhile. I inked the tree from SU Christmas Lodge in Old Olive ink and colored the tree trunk with a Choc. Chip marker before stamping it on MFT Smooth White CS.  I added some bling with rhinestones and a punched star from gold glitter paper.  Underneath the tree I added some molding paste and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on it for some more texture and bling.  I sponged Bashful Blue ink around the tree, then matted it with MFT Electric Red CS.  The card base is MFT Smooth White.  The papers are from MME Lost and Found Christmas 6x6 pad.  The sentiment from Verve's O Christmas Tree is stamped in Choc. Chip ink on DSP and mounted with foam dimensionals.  Lastly, I added the two green enamel dots from MME Lost and Found Christmas collection.

Happy Birthday Wishes for the Dynamic Duos #80

Good Saturday morning blogging friends.  Today starts a new challenge at The Dynamic Duos.  This week is "Triple Threat" week - use Blushing Bride, Raspberry Ripple and Pear Pizzazz.
Here is my card:

I used the current Seize The Sketch sketch.
My card base is Blushing Bride and the mats are Raspberry Ripple.  I stamped the white panel in Blushing Bride ink with the spots from SU Gorgeous Grunge. I stamped the sentiment from SU Simply Sketched in Raspberry Ripple ink and punched the mat with SU Scallop Trim Border punch.  I adhered the sentiment panel and then stitched around the edges.  The flowers from SU Flower Shop were stamped in Raspberry Ripple and I sponged Blushing Bride ink over them, punched them out with the matching Pansy punch and added pearls to the centers.  They are mounted with foam dimensionals.  The Pear Pizzazz leaves were diecut with the Little Leaves Sizzlet die.

Now hop on over to the Dynamic Duos and see what my fabulous team mates have created to inspire you.  I hope you find time to play along this week.

Happy Birthday

It is Thursday and time for another Seize The Birthday Challenge.  This week we are having a special "Birth"day party for one of our Design Team Members, Jenny, who recently gave birth to twin girls.

For my card I used the two corner Cuttlebug die-cuts and two of the sweet PI -Crafty Friends images.  I stamped them on X-Press It Blending Card with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Copics and cut them out.  I altered them a little by cutting away the desk and crafting tools. I also added the "A" and "L" for the twins' names.  I mounted them on a Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scalloped Ovals cut from SU Pretty In Pink CS and DSP.  I added the heart print DSP to imitate a receiving blanket over the twins.  The sentiment is from SU Perfectly Penned. I added the pen doodling around the edges.  All the DSP is from SU. The CS is Pretty In Pink and Whisper White.

Head over to the Seize the Birthday blog and see what my fellow teammates have designed to celebrate the "birth"day of Jenny's twins.  Don't forget to link up your birthday creation done in pink and including 2 of something.

All Hearts Come Home for Christmas

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Dynamic Duos challenge post.

My card base is SU Cherry Cobbler and the mats are SU Early Espresso.  The red stripe and red print are from Teresa Collins Noel 6x6 pad from last year.  The image is from SU Welcome Christmas and is stamped in Early Espresso ink on some retired SU DSP.  The sentiment is from MFT's PI-Sending You a Little Christmas stamped in SU Cherry Cobbler ink on SU Naturals White CS.  I punched it out with SU Wide Oval punch and sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges, handcut a mat and adhered it with foam dimensionals.  The small banner is cut with MFT's Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers dies.  I sewed 3 small heart punches for the banner elements on the right side, added a Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon bow and my card was done.
Here is a look at the insde. I added a Naturals White mat with a strip of the DSP and a punched heart.  The sentiment from SU More Merry Messages is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Just Us Girls #214 - Technique Challenge

I made a card for the technique challenge at Just Us Girls blog to create a background of words.

I used Technique Tuesday's Jingle All The Way stamp set to create the chalkboard background.  I inked up the sentiments with Versamark ink while they were still on plastic liner and stamped them on Basic Black CS and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I sponged some white ink around to make it look like a chalkboard.  I mounted it to an Always Artichoke CS mat and then to a Whisper White CS base.  The Sahara Sand tag was cut with Verve's Tagged Rectangle die.  The poinsettia was made with Spellbinder's dies. I inked the veins with Crumb Cake ink and added some pearls to the center, and mounted it with foam dimensionals.  The tag was added to the card with foam dimensionals also.

Enjoy The Celebration of You

I hope you have a fabulous birthday.

Today we are having a surprise link up party to celebrate Anne Marie's birthday.  I am excited to be working with her on the current Dynamic Duos Design Team.
I hear she likes pink and girly things so here is my card for Anne Marie.

Since Anne Marie lives in Texas, I thought this Adorable Cowgirl digi image from The Paper Shelter was perfect to say "Howdy" and happy birthday.  I printed her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges while still in the die. She is matted with an Early Espresso CS Scalloped Oval and mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from a page kit by The Paper Studio.  The card base is SU Pretty In Pink CS.  The rope image and sentiment is from MFT's PI-Cowboy and the main sentiment is from MFT's ala mode Big Birthday Wishes, both stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  I used MFT's Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers die-namics to cut out the banners and shaped it with my fingers, added 3 layers of foam tape to the center and then glued the curved parts with Tombow glue.

I hope Anne Marie has a fabulous birthday!
Now head on over to the Dynamic Duos Blog and join the party

A Very Merry Christmas To You

Happy Tuesday morning my blogging friends.   I have several new followers and I wanted to say welcome and thanks for following my blog, and thank you to all my followers.
Today I have a card made with MFTWSC149.  Here is the sketch: MFTWSC149
And here is my card:
I stamped the sweet image from MFT PI-Happy Christmas on X-Press It Blending Card and color her with Copics and Promarkers.  Her hat and coat are paper-pieced. I sponged some Crumb Cake ink around the edges for a little shading.  I also used my white gel pen on the tips of the tree branches.  I cut her out and mounted her with foam tape.  The DSP is from MME Christmas Wish 6x6 pad.  The card base and center mat are SU Crumb Cake CS.  I used MFT Smooth White CS for the large mat, the snow drift and snowflakes.  I tore the edge of the snow and bent the edges with my fingers to give it a little texture.  The sentiment is from MFT's LJD-Stitched Stockings.  I layered the MS punch snowflake on a Spellinders Create-A-Flake 4 snowflake with a foam dimensional and added a button to finish the snowflake.  I placed it on the opposite side from the sketch as it didn't fit on the left side with the image.  I also machine stitched around two of the mats.  The light blue mat is cut with MFT's Pierced Rectangle Dies.

Mojo Monday 318

I finally got my card done for Mojo Monday 318 and just in the nick of time.   I used SU Crumb Cake and Whisper White CS.  The DSP is from Studio Calico's Magical 6x6 pad.  I stamped the cute Verve's Santa's Helper reindeer on X-Press It Bending Card in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut him out and mounted him with foam tape on the handmade tag stamped with SU's Woodgrain stamp in Crumb Cake ink.  I stamped the sentiment from Verve's O' Christmas Tree in Wild Wasabi ink.  The snowflakes are from the new Verve's Unto Us set, stamped with gold Encore ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I cut them out with the matching Verve Reindeer Fun die.  The Crumb Cake banner is cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax die-namic and embossed with SU Snowburst EF.   I mounted one of the snowflakes with foam tape and added a red ribbon to the tag and my card was done.

Christmas Blessings for Dynamic Duos #78

Happy Saturday everyone.  It is time for another challenge at the Dynamic Duos and it is "Subtly Yours"  week.  You are to use Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke. Neutrals such as black, white, vanilla, skin colors and kraft are also welcome.

Here is my card:
I think these colors make a pretty Christmas card.  I have been wanting to make a white poinsettia after seeing so many beautiful cards on Pinterest.  I used my Spellbinders Poinsettia dies and then sponged some Crumb Cake ink on the veins while they were still in the dies.  I layered them and then added 3 beige colored pearls to the center - they match the Crumb Cake perfectly. The green leaves are Always Artichoke CS.  I added some SU Dazzling Details to the flowers & leaves.
Here's a closeup photo that shows the sparkle a little better. So pretty IRL.

The sentiment is a Verve single stamp "Christmas Blessings" stamped in Always Artichoke ink and matted with a Crumb Cake frame from Spellbinder's Timeless Rectangle.  The sentiment and poinsettia are mounted with foam tape on the Always Artichoke DSP.  The white panel is embossed with The Paper Studio Holly EF and the card base is Crumb Cake.
That's it for my card.

Merry Monday #82

The challenge this week for Merry Monday #82 is to use red/aqua/white and circles.  Here is the inspiration photo:

And here is my card based on the Splitcoast Stampers SC461 sketch challenge.  I omitted panel 4 and used a circle instead of a square for panel 5.

I used SU Pool Party and Real Red CS.  The white panel is Image Plus CS and is embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake EF.  The aqua snowflake paper is from MME Lost & Found Christmas pad, and is matted with Pool Party CS.  I stamped the cute Stampendous M301 Snow Girl on X-Press It Blending Card, colored her with Promarkers and SU Pool Party & Bermuda Bay markers and cut her out.  I also stamped her on the DSP from Teresa Collins Santa's List pad, and cut her out with MFT Pierced Circle Stax dies.  I positioned her so the small red snowflake (in the DSP) would be by her hat, and glued the colored image over the stamped image on the DSP.  That way I didn't have to fussy cut her thin arms.  I added some Ranger Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the snow  under the snow girl.  I cut the Real Red mat with MFT Circle Stax 1 set.  The aqua snowflake is from Spellbinders Create-a-Flake 4 and the white one is a MS punch. I layered them and added a silver brad to the center.

I am also linking this to the Festive Friday color challenge as it is the same colors.

And to Christmas Cards All Year 'Round which is Winter Wonderland - Winter theme, snow, snowflakes, etc.

Seize The Birthday Challenge

Happy Thursday everyone.  It's time for another challenge at the Seize The Birthday blog.  This week we have a "toppings option" to use lots of texture (embossing).  Come on over and play along.  Our challenge lasts for two weeks and anything goes, as long as it is for a birthday.

Here is my card for this week's challenge and I used the toppings option and did a lot of embossing, dry and wet.
For my card I used SU Whisper White, Wild Wasabi and Strawberry Slush CS.  The card base is Wild Wasabi and the white layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug Birthday EF.  The green check is from MFT's Textile Backgrounds stamped in Wild Wasabi ink. I added a border punched from Wild Wasabi with the SU Scallop Trim Border punch.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched, stamped in Basic Gray ink, and cut out with MFT Pierced Circle Stax dies.  I sponged a little green ink around the edges while it was still in the die.  I added this to a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle cut from Strawberry Slush.  The flowers are from SU Vintage Vogue and the large flowers are stamped with Versamark ink on Strawberry Slush and embossed with white embossing powder. The small flowers are stamped in Strawberry Slush ink on white CS.  I fussy cut all the flowers, layered them, and added a white brad to the centers.  They are mounted with foam dimensionals.  I added the leaves punched with the Build a Bird Punch, and the white fern punched with a MS punch.
The butterfly is from SU Papillion Potpourri stamped in Wild Wasabi ink. I fussy cut him out and only glued the center part to my card and folded his wings back.

I really hope you can play along this week. Be sure to check the blog to see the rest of the fabulous Design Team creations and to find out all the details.

Happy Birthday Matey

MFTWSC148
This is my card for this week's MFTWSC148.  I used SU Whisper White and Basic Black CS.  The blue DSP is some older Provo Craft paper and the red dot and stripe is Simple Stories 24/Seven DSP.  I cut the white circle with MFT's Pierced Circles Stax and cut the black mat with MFT's Circle Stax dies.  I embossed the white circle with SU Cloudy Day EF (retired) and sponged some Bashful Blue ink around the clouds.  I added a piece of MME woodgrain DSP across the bottom of the circle to look like the adorable MFT PI Pirate Boy was standing on the deck of a ship.  I stamped the image with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored him with Copics and Promarkers, cut him out and mounted him with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same set and is cut out with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax and Layers.

Joy for Freshly Made Sketches 110

I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches 110 and made a Christmas card using the sketch.  When I first saw the sketch, I thought of the word Noel, but then with the decorative element in the 4th place, I decided to go with Joy.  It fits perfect along with the poinsettia made with the Spellbinders dies.  I added yellow rhinestones to the center.  I typed "to the World" on my computer and cut it out with MFT's Fishtail Flags Layers Stax dies and added it under the poinsettia.  I slanted it so it wouldn't cover up my "y"  I used SU Lovely Letters Alphabet to stamp the letters in Real Red ink, then punched them with a 1" square and matted them in Garden Green with the SU Scallop Square punch.  The squares and poinsettia are mounted using foam tape.  The DSP is from a retired SU Christmas pack and the mat is Real Red CS.  The card base is Whisper White CS.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I appreciate your comments.

My post title is very appropriate today.  Thank you to Dynamic Duos for allowing me to be one of their new Design Team members and it is also my card title. Today's card is my first as a new member of the Dynamic Duos Design Team.  I am so excited to be working with this fabulous group of ladies and hope I can inspire you with my creations.  We have a "Bold & Cheery" color combo for you to work with this week - Real Red & Bermuda Bay.

I am using an older sketch from Splitcoast Stampers, #SC458.  My card base is Bermuda Bay, next is a layer of MFT Smooth White CS embossed with the SU Lacey Brocade EF.  The DSP is from SU Thoroughly Modern DSP (retired).  I added borders with the SU Scallop Trim Border punch.  The banner is made with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax and Fishtail Flags Layers Stax with Real Red CS and MFT Smooth White CS.  The sentiment is from SU Perfectly Penned stamped in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink.  The flowers are from SU Flower Shop stamped in Real Read ink and punched with the Pansy Punch.  I finished my card by adding pearls to the center of the flowers.
