Seize the Birthday - Creatures Great and Small

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Cathy has chosen Creatures, Great and Small as our "Toppings" option this week.  Of course, as usual, the only requirement is that it be a birthday project if you are not into the "Toppings" option.
For my card I used MFT Birth-Yay to stamp this cute image of several creatures, great and small.  I colored them with Promarkers, colored the green grass and sponged on some clouds with MFT Cloud border die.  The sentiment is from the same set and I flagged the ends.  I die cut the panel with Lil' Inker's Side Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it with foam tape.  The pattern paper is from my stash.

We have some great cards by the design team and our guest designer, Joyce.  I hope you will check them out and join in our fun challenge.  See you in our gallery at Seize the Birthday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a sweet couple at church.
I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest so I used SU Bloomin' Love stamps and matching Bloomin' Heart dies (retired).  The banner was stamped with Crumb cake ink and the flowers with Blushing Bride ink. I lightly sponged ink over the flowers so they would stand out more, and then added small pearls to the centers.  I fussy cut them all and then glued the flowers over the die cut heart, which is glued to a Soft Sea Foam panel embossed with SU Tufted EF.  The sentiment is from an older set and is mounted with foam tape.  I added the green panel to a Crumb Cake mat and then to my card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for MOJO Monday #529

Today I am sharing a card I made for Mojo Monday Sketch #529.
I love using Julee's sketches and this time I used some paper from my stash I have had for awhile.   I made the sunflower with an MFT die, had it laying on some of the blue paper on my table and thought it looked great together, so proceeded to make my card.  SU Coastal Cabana matched the pattern paper so I used it for a mat and the strip across the panel.  I embossed the white panel with SU Tufted EF.  The sentiment is from SU Magnolia Blooms.  I added 3 small colored pearls and raised the sentiment panel with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls - Color Week

Hello crafty friends.  I am sharing a card I made for this week's Just Us Girls Color Week.
I struggled with this color combo and finally decided to use a stamp from MFT Plaid Background Builder.  I stamped each individual stripe in Blushing Bride, Highland Heather and Lovely Lipstick inks and then embossed it with SU Stylish Scroll EF to give it more definition.  I matted it with a thin mat of Highland Heather and then added the narrow strip of Highland Heather across the center of the panel.  The sentiment is from SU Magnolia Blooms die cut with a stitched oval die and added with foam tape.  Of course I had to add flowers, so I punched the Medium Daisy 4 times, shaped the petals, layered them, and added a gem stone in the middle.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Stencils

Happy Thursday crafty friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  Nancy is our host and she would like us to use stencils on our birthday cards.
I used Tim Holtz Splatters stencil and DOI Frayed Burlap for my background panel.  The pretty flowers are from Newton's Nook Peony Blooms with matching dies.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with SU Real Red and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut them and then mounted them with foam tape on the white panel which is matted with Real Red card.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set.  I wasn't too sure about the stenciled background but I really like the card, I hope you do also.

I am linking to CAS Stencil - Use a New Stencil. This is a fairly new stencil and this is the first time I have used it.

And also to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge -Use a Stencil.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out all the great cards by my teammates and our Party Guest over at Seize the Birthday.

MOJO Monday Sketch #528

I am sharing a card I made for a friend using the MOJO Monday Sketch #528.
I used Clearly Besotted Perfect Peonies with matching die for the pretty flowers and colored them with SU Real Red and Old Olive Blends.  They are mounted with foam tape.  The Real Red panel is embossed with SU Tin Tile EF.  The b/w stripe is from MFT Black & White Stripes 6x6 pad.  The sentiment from SU Band Together is embossed in white on a black strip.  I added some red & white Baker's Twine for the bow element in the sketch.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  Your comments are greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a young girl at church.  She is turning 4 and I thought she would like this cute panda image from Simon Says Stamp Party Like a Panda.
I used an oval die to cut the image after I colored it with Promarkers.  I stamped the heart balloon on pattern paper, and then stamped the presents, colored them and fussy cut them.  The balloon string is hand drawn.  The bear image is glued to the pattern paper and the balloon, presents and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Peaceful Moments.   I think the thin black mats make the panda bear stand out more.  I realized I should have mounted the bear image with foam tape also for more dimension.

I am linking up to Just Us Girls Challenge - Create Dimension as some of the elements do have dimension with the foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a young couple at church.
I used my new SU Painted Poppies stamps & matching dies.  I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Highland Heather (flowers) and Old Olive (leaves) Blends.  I used Highland Heather DSP and cardstock on the white panel partially embossed with the Lace 3D EF.  The doily is an MFT die cut.  I added 3 small purple enamel dots after stamping the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  I mounted the doily die cut and the flowers with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your comments are appreciated and they make my day.

Seize the Birthday - Layer It

Hello Friends and Happy New Year.  We are starting a New Year, New Blog Design and new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  How do you like our new blog design?

Ashwini has chosen "Layer It" as our toppings option (she also created our new blog design and name badges - thank you so much Ashwini).  This card was made for our piano player at church - she loved it.
For my card I layered 2 of the SU Daisy Lane die cuts stamped in Petal pink, and then added a gold gemstone to the center.  The leaves are punched from Mossy Meadow.  I also layered the Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow panels which have been die cut with a border die from the Good Morning Magnolia bundle.  The pink panel has been embossed with Pinewood Planks EF (retired).   The strip of pattern paper is from the Magnolia Lane DSP.   The sentiment is a Poppystamps  die.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday, and our Surprise Party Guest, Joyce Mehrber.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, it makes my day.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
