Anniversary Card for Friends

Good Morning friends.  Just 2 more days until Christmas.  I hope you all are ready.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a good friend whose anniversary is a few days after Christmas.
The flower and leaves are from SU Painted Harvest set.   I stamped the flower in Pink Pirouette and Sweet Sugarplum inks, and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. The center of the flower is stamped with SU Smoky Slate, stamped off once for a lighter shade.  The sentiment is from Verve Love Story (discontinued).  The sentiment panel was cut using a Spellbinders die and mounted with foam tape.  I fussy cut the Baha Breeze mat.  The pattern paper and card base are also SU Baha Breeze.  I added some Silver Nuvo Crystal drops to the sentiment panel.  The white panel is embossed with a Darice EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #270 - Tic Tac Toe

Good Morning friends.  This week we are playing Tic-Tac Toe over on Merry Monday.  Check it out and play along with us.
For my card I chose the top line across - stamping, pattern paper, emboss, as a bonus it also fits the first line down - stamping, die cut, red.
I used a retired SU set for the cardinal image and colored it with Promarkers.  I die cut it with an MFT Stitched Oval die and then fussy cut the small black mat.  The greeting is from Verve's Holiday Treats.  I punched it with a retired SU punch and also fussy cut the mat.  The patten paper is from an older Authentique Joyous Collection 6x6 pad.  The white panel is embossed with the SU Decorative Dots EF.

Be sure to check out the desingers' cards at Merry Monday and play along with us.  This is our last challenge until next year (Jan. 1st).   We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #269

Hello friends and happy Monday.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and this week Debbie has a color challenge for us.  She wants us to use 3 colors from the inspiration photo.
I am using red, light green and dark green on my card.
I tried several different shots but couldn't get the lighting right on my card, it may be the gold foil letters throwing the lighting off.  It is actually just a little darker IRL.  The green paper is from SU Be Merry Christmas paper and the red is from Love Nicole Seasons Greetings 6x6 pad.  The wreath is from a Sizzix Tim Holtz set, Happiest Holidays.  It has a stamp, 2 dies and embossing folder.  I fussy cut the center of the wreath as it had a sentiment in the middle and I didn't want that.  I colored the wreath and ribbon with Promarkers.  The J and Y are from SU Large Letters Framelits dies cut from gold foil paper and mounted with foam tape.  The wreath is also mounted with foam tape.  The banners are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax dies.

Now don't forget to check out all the fabulous inspiration by the designers over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will join us.

I am also linking up with Muse: Christmas Visions  - Anything Goes

Happy Birthday for a Friend

Today I am sharing a card I made for a sweet friend at church.  I used SU Blushing Bride CS and  pattern paper from Recollections Midnight Garden pack.   The pink scallop frame is cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die, and the frame is from MFT Stitched Circle Frames.  I mounted the frame with foam tape and also added glitter enamel dots to the right side.  The sentiment is from Verve Cake and Candles set.  The flowers are from SU Secret Garden (retired).  I stamped them with Blushing Bride ink, fussy cut them, and then sponged more ink on the petals.  I added glitter enamel dots to the centers and mounted them with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Viva la Verve December

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the Viva la Verve December sketch.  Julie does wonderful sketches and they are a great starting point to make my cards.
The pattern paper is from Authentique Classique Essentials 6x6 pad, matted with black, accept for the mostly black DSP, which was a scrap on my desk from another card.  The flowers and sentiment are from Verve Kindness Matters.  I stamped the flowers in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and sponged them with SU Crushed Curry ink, and then added a black enamel dot to the centers.  The larger flower is stamped twice, fussy cut and layered.   The leaves are from a flower in Verve One Person (discontinued), and sponged with SU Pear Pizzazz ink.  The sentiment circle and mat are cut with MFT dies and adhered with foam tape.  The flowers are also mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #268 - Use a Santa Hat

Happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new Merry Monday challenge and this week Deanne wants us to use a Santa hat on our cards.

I used this cute Cottage Cutz Santa Puppy and paper pieced him together with his stocking and Santa hat.  I die cut him from SU Crumb Cake CS and sponged a little ink for shading.  I then added him to a panel cut with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats Rounded Rectangles.  The mats are SU Real Red and I rounded the corners to match the die cut.   I don't remember which pad the pattern paper is from but I think it was an Authentique Christmas pad.  The greeting is from Verve Peace on Earth on a banner cut with an MFT die.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Merry Monday and join us for this fun challenge.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends and happy Saturday.  I hope all my US friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I did and ate too much, as usual.
Today I am sharing a card I made for a dear friend at church.  I don't use these colors often but I think it turned out really pretty.
I used several retired SU products, Secret Garden stamps and framelits, Gumball Green ink (leaves),   and Four You stamp set (sentiment).  I used Calypso Coral Ombre ribbon (new), and Calypso Coral ink to stamp the flowers.  I clipped between the petals, shaped them a little and added a rhinestone to the centers. The flowers are mounted with foam tape, as is the sentiment panel which is cut with an MFT Pierced Square die.  The main panel is SU Cajun Craze and is embossed with SU Pinewood Plank EF.  I love this embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Monochromatic

Hello friends, I hope you are having a blessed Thanksgiving.  This post is scheduled and at this time I am enjoying dinner with my family.

We have a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and the "Toppings" option is monochromatic. Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.

I used 2 red pattern papers from American Crafts Crimson 6x6 pad and matted the sentiment panel with Recollections red CS.  I stamped the flower from SU Flower Shop in SU Real Red ink and sponged the petal edges with the same ink.  I shaped the petals and added some black micro beads to the center of the flower, then mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Verve Cake and Candles and that panel is also mounted with foam tape.  The white background panel was embossed with Darice Linked Circles EF.

Now check our what the rest of the designers have created for this challenge over at Seize the Birthday   I hope you will join us.

This is our last challenge for 2017, we will see you in 2018.  Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Merry Monday #266 - Santa

Hello and happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new Merry Monday Challenge and this week Sue wants us to use a Santa on our Christmas card.  I hope you are busy getting your Christmas cards done.  It is only five weeks until Christmas.

I used this cute Santa, tree and sentiment from MFT Jingle All the Way.  I colored them with Copics and Promarkers and cut them out with the matching dies.  I punched out some ornaments from red, gold, and silver glitter paper, and then added Wink of Stella to the star to make it glittery also.  I mounted them on DSP embossed with SU Stripes EF.  I added a piece of different woodgain paper across the bottom and colored the shadow in, but got it a little darker than what I wanted.. The red check paper is from American Crafts Crimson 6x6 pad.  I added black mats and punched the scallop border with a retired SU border punch.  The image panel and the sentiment are both mounted with foam tape.

I hope you will check out all the great inspiration by my teammates over at Merry Monday and join us in this fun challenge.

Happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and Nina wants us to create a card with an outdoor winter activity on it.
I decided to use my new Stampendous stamp I got at Michaels called Snowy Sled.  Aren't those sledding snowmen just the cutest?  I colored them with Promarkers and added Fun Flock to their hat brims, cuffs and to the snow under the sled.  I added details to the jackets with my white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Verve Light My World and the DSP is from American Crafts Wish List 6x6 pad.  I mounted the image panel with foam tape.

Happy Birthday for The Paper Players

Good Morning friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for a sweet lady at church.  I used the Paper Players Sketch Challenge #367
I stamped MFT Garden Flourish Background in SU Crumb Cake and matted it with Crumb Cake.  Then I cut MFT Pierced Fishtail Flag die (I linked the stitched dies as the pierced ones are no longer available) with Crumb Cake and added that to the base panel.  I also used the same die to cut the sentiment panel but didn't use the end of it.  The sentiment is from JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments.  I mounted this panel with foam tape and then added the MFT Upsy Daisy flower and leaves (discontinued).  I mounted the flower with foam tape also.

I am also linking to the Shop Our Stash challenge #326 - use any sketch. This is my first time playing in this challenge and I think it is a fun one as I have lots of "Stash". :)   Love this sketch at the Paper Players and will probably be using it again.

Happy Monday friends.  Linda is our hostess this week over at the Merry Monday Challenge and she wants us to add a gift to our Christmas card.

This cute elf holding a gift, the tree, and the stack of gifts are from MFT Santa's Elves.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black on Xpress-It Blending card and colored them with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut them with the matching MFT dies. Merry Monday Challenge #261 - Add an Ornament

Happy Monday friends.  Are you ready for a new challenge at Merry Monday.  This week Kelly's challenge is to add an ornament to your Christmas card.
I looked at different ornaments I have but chose to use this digi image of a cute bear with ornaments (sorry I don't remember where I got it as I have had it for some time).  I colored him with Promarkers and cut him out with Spellbinders Oval and matted him with Spellbinders Scallop Oval in MFT Electric Red. I also added a mixture of Fun Flock and Flower Soft to the brim and pompom of his hat.  I stamped the Peace and Joy from Verve Inspire Hope (sorry, it has been discontinued) and then added Wink of Stella glitter to the ornaments.  This panel is mounted with foam tape.  The woodgrain DSP is from Recollections Cozy Cottage.

The light is reflecting off the ornaments in the above photo so I took another one so you can see the ornaments better.  They are so pretty IRL.

You should check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will be inspired to join us.

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and our host Debbie wants us to create our Christmas card using this sketch:

I had fun working with this sketch and this is what I came up with.  I cut both the snowflakes (Taylored Expressions Make a Snowflake) and the greeting (Find It Trading Merry Christmas) from silver glitter paper.  I added a silver glitter border around the MFT Electric Red main panel.  I added rhinestones to the snowflake centers and added tiny rhinestones around for a little extra bling and then mounted this panel with foam tape.  The second layer is SU Naturals White and the DSP is from Studio Calico Wonderland 6x6 pad.  The card base is also Electric Red CS

Can't wait to see what you create using this sketch.  Be sure to check out all the great cards by the DT over at Merry Monday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day.
