CAS Watercolour - Maple Leaf

Hello friends. This is my second post today, scroll down for my Seize the Birthday card.

I am sharing a card I made for CAS Watercolour card challenge - Maple Leaf.
Happy 3rd birthday to CAS Watercolour.
I used watercolouring, stamping, die-cutting, and dry embossing on  my card.  I added ink from several DOI on a stamping block and used my aqua painter brush to color a section of Bristol Smooth card.  I then stamped the maple leaves and die cut them with Reverse Confetti Fall Foilage stamps and matching dies.   The card base and panel are SU Very Vanilla Heavy CS.  I die cut MFT Rectangle Peek-A-Boo Window from the top panel and then embossed it with SU Subtle EF.  I stamped the sentiment from PTI Autumn Hills in Vintage Photo DI on the card base and mounted the die cut panel over it with foam tape.  I shaped the leaves a little with my fingers and then just glued them down in the middle.

I am also linking up to AAA Birthday Challenge - Colour Palette, since my card matches their autumn color palette.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Candles

Hello friends.  It is time for our Seize the Birthday challenge and Shirley would like us to add candles to our cards for the "toppings" option this time.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.
For my card I used the candles  and sentiment from MFT Make a Wish set.  I stamped the candles in different colors and then stamped the flames in yellow.  I fussy cut them, glued the flames on the candle wicks and then mounted them with foam tape to the background panel.  I stamped the starburst image from PTI Shine stamp set before adding the candles.  I also sponged some ink over the stamping to give the candles a glow.  The scallop white panel is cut with an MFT Blueprints 27 die and the cut out is made with a die from MFT Blueprints 3 (discontinued).  I mounted this panel with foam tape also.

Now you should check out the fun challenge over at Seize the Birthday and see what our Surprise Party Guest Annie and the design team have created for you.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Christmas - Winter Scene

Hello friends.  I made a card for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Winter Scene

I created my winter scene with these cute penguins from Lawn Fawn's Here We Go A-Waddling set and matching dies.  I stamped the penguins and lamp post with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics.  I trimmed a little closer around the penguins after die-cutting them and added foam tape to them and the lamp post.  For the main panel I sponged Salty Ocean DOI for the sky and made a sidewalk by drawing a thin line and sponging SU Smokey Slate ink.  I added a little darker  shadow under the penguins.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I also used Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil and light molding paste to make some snow.  After my card was done, I lightly misted a mixture of 70% alcohol and SU Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint for a little sparkle.  It shows up in the photo below.

Another Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have another birthday card to share using paper from the old DCWV Dots, Stripes, & Plaids mat stack that I used on my card yesterday.  I loved this blue plaid paper in the pad and wanted to use it.
I  die cut the Fresh Peonies image by Technique Tuesday after I colored it with Copics.   The sentiment from SU Happy Birthday Gorgeous (retired) is stamped in SU Pacific Point on a Stitched Rectangle die cut and mounted with foam tape.  The blue plaid paper has a light glittery stripe in the design so I added Wink of Stella to my flowers to give them some sparkle.  The sparkle doesn't show up much on the flowers. It is so pretty in person.  I also added 3 small rhinestones for a little more bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends. I am sharing a birthday card I made for a friend.  I found this pretty paper in an old DCWV Dots, Stripes & Plaids mat stack and wanted to do a card with it.
The gray plaid has glitter stripes in the design and is very pretty.  I used Simon Says Stamp Dot Scallop Border die on the darker gray paper.  I stamped the medium daisy from SU Daisy Lane in Smokey Slate ink and punched them with the matching punch.  I layered 2 flowers together and added a clear faceted gem to the center of each.  The leafs and sprigs are cut with dies from the Wonderful Romance set (retired).  I thought the white sprigs added a little extra to the design.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Bouquet, stamped in Basic Gray ink and die cut with the smallest Layering Oval die.  The scallop gray mat is also a die from the Layering Ovals and mounted with foam tape.  The card base is SU Smokey Slate (a perfect match for the plaid paper).

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Tis the Season

Hi friends.  I am sharing a Christmas card I made with my new SU Tidings All Around set. I saw a similar card using this set but don't remember where I saw it or whose it is.
I stamped the wreath twice, once in Old Olive and once in Pear Pizzazz inks, off setting it a tiny bit. I stamped the berries in Real Red.  The wreath cut out fine even though it was a little off from the die.
I added the tiny red flowers using a die from the Detailed Deer die set.  I layered 2 flowers together and added a tiny yellow pearl to the centers.  The wreath was mounted with foam tape on a panel embossed with the Pinewood Planks EF.  The sentiment is from the wreath set and is stamped in Real Red, die cut with a stitched oval die and matted with a scallop oval from Real Red.  The red bow is a die from Pretty Pines (retired).  I added a thin red mat and them mounted it to my card base.

This was an easy card to make and turned out so pretty.  I might have to make a few more of them.
I will link this up over at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for The Flower Challenge

Here is another anniversary card for a couple at church.  I am linking it to The Flower Challenge -CAS.
I use my new Spellbinders Floral Oval die set.  I first die cut the center oval from the white panel and then embossed it with SU Subtle EF.  I layered this over a mat of SU Pear Pizzazz and then added the die cut oval back in the white panel.  I die cut the flower swag from white card and colored it with Copics (the lady's favorite color is yellow).  I die cut 2 sets of the extra flower dies and layered them on the flower swag and then added tiny pearls to the centers.  The sentiment from SU Beautiful Bouquet is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.  I flagged the end and added it under the edge of the largest flower.  I love the way this card turned out and will definitely be using this set again.  It is very easy to use and makes a lovely card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am sharing another anniversary card I made for a couple at church (there are 4 this month).  I was inspired by this card on Pinterest made by Mariza.
I love the card and I love the Verve set so I had to CASE it with a few minor changes.
I used Blueberry Bushel DSP from last year's SU 2018-2020 In-Color pack.  The heart image was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink and die-cut with the matching die.  I mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same Verve set, Love Everlasting.  The Verve heart border is cut from Brushed Silver CS.  I added a row of rhinestones to the bottom border and tied silver cording around the top border, which is only partially cut with the impression of the hearts.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for JUGS

Hi Friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a couple at church.  I had to play in Nancy's challenge to use designer paper so I am linking to Just Us Girls Challenge - Designer Paper.

I have so much paper that I say I could open my own store. :)
I chose to use SU Subtles papaer in Pool Party and am using an older MTWWSC57 layout I saw on Pinterest.  I die cut the angled panels with SU Stitched Rectangles and the sentiment panel with one of the rectangle dies also. The sentiment is from Verve Love Everlasting.  The flower is made with SU Medium Daisy Punch and the punched leaves from Pear Pizzazz with SU Leaf Punch.  I added some rhinestones on the sentiment panel and a faceted gem to the center of the flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.
Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - For Kids

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Lindsey would like us to make a card for kids.
I made these two cards for two young boys at church.  They were born on the same day just a couple hours apart.  They are best friends as are their families.  As you can see one is blonde and one is brunette.  (By the way, they loved the cards.)

I sponged dark blue ink around the edges of the pattern paper which has white dots on it.  I though it was great for a galaxy look.  I used MFT Space Explorer for all the stamped images and the matching dies to cut them out.  I colored them with Copics and added the number 8 sticker to a balloon on each one.  I flagged the end of the sentiment and shaped it with my bone folder.  I added foam tape to the middle and glued each end down. The rocket and astronaut are both mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to hop over to the Seize the Birthday blog and check out all the fabulous kids cards by the designers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
