Butterfly Card for JUGS

Hello friends.  I have another butterfly card to share at JUGS - dies, butterfly.

ETA:  my card was chosen as one of the Top 3 at Triple B.

I used another new die from SSS - Chelsea Butterfly.  This is such a pretty butterfly and I couldn't wait to play with it.  I cut it from a lt. blue card and blended a darker blue ink in the center of the wings.  I used a silver paint pen to go over the edge pieces before gluing them on, and then added the black body.   I had to think about how to use it on a card and I had this light gray panel embossed with Spellbinders Bamboo Screen so thought I would use it.  I die cut the white circle using SU Spotlight on Nature dies and glued the butterfly on.  I die cut two leaves stems from Peaceful Pine using SU Memorable Blooms dies and glued them on the gray panel and added the circle with foam tape.  I couldn't decide on a sentiment so didn't add one, maybe later.

I will also add this to Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

HUGS for JUGS

Hello friends.  I saw JUGS challenge this week is Container so I waned to use my new Altenew Houseplants set.  I have it for a little while but this is the first time I have used it.

I cut a panel of SU Basic Beige and  embossed it with SU Timber EF, then added it to a white card base.  I die cut the flowers from SU Balmy Blue and blended Balmy Blue ink to the centers.  I layered the flowers together, adding the small flower to center of the lager blooms and then added a rhinestone to the centers to kind of match the silver foil die cut handle and hugs word.  The hanging pot is cut from SU Smoky Slate with a little blended ink around the edges (although it doesn't show much with the leaves and flowers).  The leaves are cut from 2 shades of green.  I mounted the pot with foam tape, gluing the hanger down.  I added the greenery and then arranged the flowers how I wanted them.  Hugs is cut from silver foil with a white base.  I mounted it with foam tape also.

I am linking to JUGS

and to Darnell's NBUS as this is my first time using this die set.

Blue & Pink Daisies

Hello friends. I have another birthday card to share today.   I love this card made by Tina and had to try it.  I don't have the same daisies die she has but I have a Daisy die by Elizabeth Craft Designs that I have had for a number of years and made a card inspired by Tina's card.

I die cut the base of the daisies from white and blended SU Balmy Blue ink in the centers.  I cut the overlay from white and the centers from SU Pretty in Pink, then glued them together.  The leaves are cut from SU Soft Sea Foam.  I die cut the Balmy Blue panel to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and embossed with my new Spellbinders 3D Molded Frame EF.  I also cut the white panel smaller and embossed it with the same EF like Tina did.  I arranged my flowers at the bottom of the white panel, mounted them with foam tape and glued leaves under the edges.  The sentiment from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments is stamped in Balmy Blue ink and cut with the matching die then mounted with foam tape.

I will link this one to Just Us Girls - Die Week -Use a Flower

and Triple AAA Birthday - Anything Goes as they are celebrating their 6th birthday.

Green & White Birthday for 3 (or 4) Challenges

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.

I used my new Pinkfresh Studios Dashing Daisies Press Plate with white ink on the Granny Apple Green panel and think it turned out so pretty.  I did several colors but wanted to use this one for Color Hues.
The big white flower and leaves are made with Sizzix Corsage die (retired). I cut the flower center from Granny Apple Green card and added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) for some bling.  The sentiment is from SU Labeled With Love and cut with a stitched oval die,  I mounted the oval with foam tape.

I am sharing at the Color Hues Challenge - Green & White.

and to the Double D Challenge - Going Green

I will also link this one to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have use the press plate and the dies.

Thanks Lisa, I will add this to the JUGS challenge - dies - birthday

Happy Anniversary for JUGS Challenge

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I need several cards for friends at church so you will be seeing more anniversary cards.  It is Die Week at JUGS and I have used 3 different die sets for this card.

The pattern paper is from SU Timeless Plaid (available Jan. 7) and is cut with SU Scalloped  Contours die set (ret.). The white panel is also cut with the same die set and mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from an older Verve set and stamped in Calypso Coral ink.  The flowers are cut from white with an older MFT set, Plentiful Flowers.  Each flower has 2 medium and 1 small flower layered together - there is a larger flower that I did not use. I sponged Calypso Coral ink in the centers before gluing together, and then added a fancy rhinestone to the centers.  The leaves are cut from Old Olive with a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs Floral 10.  I glued the flowers to the left side of the white panel and then glued the leaves under the petals.  I really like the finished card and I think my friends will also.

I will also link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms & Butterflies. (I love making floral cards)

Happy Anniversary for JUGS #733

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made it with the JUGS challenge in mind - Anything Goes Stencil Week #733.

I used a Tim Holtz String Stencil and SU Crumb Cake ink for the white panel,  For the pretty flowers I used Pinkfresh Studio Be Fearless set.  I stamped the images and used the stencils and my blending brushes to color them with - PFS Mimosa & Mango Sorbet inks for the flowers and SU Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.  The sentiment is an older Verve stamp which is stamped in SU Early Espresso ink.  After die cutting the flowers, I mounted them with foam, arranging them on opposite corners.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Let's Celebrate You for JUGS

Hello friends. I am sharing a card I made for the JUGS challenge -Word Week #731 - Celebrate.

I used Pinkfresh Studio Blooming Branch Stamp, Stencils & die for the pretty blooms.  After stamping them in black ink, I used the stencils and PFS Chasing Sunsets ink cubes to blend ink on the flowers. The leaves are done with SU Wild Wasabi ink (ret.).  I also lightly blended one of the ink cubes, Mimosa, on the card base and then attached Altenew Trellis die cut over it.  I die cut the flowers and mounted them with foam tape over the trellis panel.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Sweet Birthday, stamped in Mimosa ink and mounted with foam tape on the right side and glued over the edge of the flowers.

Happy Birthday for JUGS

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made my card for JUGS Challenge -  using the colors from Color Throwdown (Sage, Rose, Burgundy).

ETA:  My card was an Honorable Mention at Just Us Girls.

I chose to copy Carol McFarland on the JUGS DT.  Love her layout with the 4 circles and the sentiment in the center and the white panel with the scallop edges.  I used Taylored Expressions Playful Plaid Background stamp to stamp a white panel in SU Soft Succulent ink (ret.).  I trimmed this panel and mounted it on a white panel cut with MFT Blueprints 27 die for the scallop edges.  For the circles I punched 4 white circles and matted them on Merry Merlot scallop circles.  I die cut 4 flowers from MFT Box Card Bouquet in SU Rococo Rose (ret.) and mounted them to the circles. I added Soft Succulent die cut leaves and a rhinestone to the centers of the flowers, then mounted the circles with foam tape.  I glued this panel to a Soft Succulent panel then to my white card base.  The sentiment from SU Sweet as a Peach (ret.) is stamped in Merry Merlot ink and mounted with foam tape.

Merry Christmas for JUGS

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas card to share today.  When I saw JUGS Color Challenge of  Red  & Green, naturally I thought of Christmas as did a lot of others.

For the red blooms I used Spellbinders Holiday Blooms and cut several large blooms and small blooms.  I layered 3 of each together, shaped the petals and glued the cluster together on a white panel die cut with SU Split Card Textures Dies.  The greenery is from the same die and cut from 2 shades of green.  I added a golden rhinestone to the centers of the flowers.  The sentiment is from SU Mistletoe Magic (ret.) and stamped in red.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I used the colors from JUGS Challenge - Blue, Green & Yellow as I thought the colors were perfect for a flower card.

ETA:  My card was a favorite at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies August challenge.

I wanted to play with my new Honeybee Lovely Layers Wildflowers dies so I die cut the flowers from white card and blended Daffodil Delight ink on the yellow flowers and Brilliant Blue ink on the blue flowers. The stemmed flowers were cut from Pear Pizzazz card and the colored flowers were glued on top.  I added a white enamel dot to the centers of the yellow flowers.  I arranged them on a white panel embossed with SU Crosshatch EF and matted with a thin blue mat.  The flowers and leaves were mounted with foam tape and the ends of the stems were glued down.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Go To Greetings on a strip of white matted with blue and glue it across the flower stems.

I will also link to AAA Birthday Challenge - Anything Goes

Happy Birthday for JUGS

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this one using JUGS Challenge - CASE a DT Member.

There are quite a few that I was drawn to but the one that spoke to me most was Lisa E's card with the 2 big blooms and sentiment tag on the side, also love the embossed background.

I thought of several flower dies I have but settled on Honey Bee Lovely Layers Anemone die set.  I cut the layers from SU Petal Pink and the leaves from Pear Pizzazz.  I blended the same color ink around the edges of the petals and leaves and layered the flowers.  I added the centers cut from Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.  I mounted the flowers with foam tape on a white panel embossed with Spellbinders Hydrangea Blooms EF.  I tried die cutting several doilies to glue on the background (like Lisa's embossing) but liked the embossed panel better.  I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede and die cut it with a die from SU Seasonal Labels die, shortened it and mounted it with foam tape.  I added Wink of Stella to the flower centers and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas for JUGS Color Challenge

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today.  I made this one using the colors at the Just Us Girls Challenge.

ETA:  My card was a Favorite at Die Cut Divas.

The colors are red, green and gold.  The background is SU Evening Evergreen embossed with Spellbinders Scenic Poinsettia EF.  The large ornament is from Spellbinders October Large Die of the Month Club.  I die cut it from ivory card stock and also die cut a solid one to layer behind the cutout piece.  It can be for stitching, but I used it plain and added small pearls to the centers of the design. The gold trim is a separate die which is cut twice and layered on the top and bottom of the ornament.  The poinsettia and foliage are also from the same set. I die cut two poinsettias, layered them, and added small white pearls to the center. I had the Merry Christmas already die cut from gold foil cs and I am not sure which die I used.

The ornament die set has other pieces that you can make a large layered display card but I chose to make a regular A2 size card (5 1/2 by 4 1/4) with just the pretty ornament.

Christmas Tag

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas tag to share today.  I don't make too many tags but had to do this one  for JUGS Wild-Card Week which is Holiday Gift Tags.

I used an older MFT Stitched Tag die to cut my tag.  I then blended DOI Peeled Paint over the bottom left corner where I wanted to place my poinsettia spray.  I used SSS Holiday Sprigs and matching dies for the poinsettia and the mistletoe sprig.  I colored the images with Copics and added Diamond Stickles to the center of the poinsettia and the berries.  The poinsettia is two layers separated with foam tape.  The sentiment is also from the same set.  I punched a hole in the top and added white & silver ribbon and tied with white & silver Baker's Twine.

I am also linking to NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) as this is the first time I have used this set even though I have had it a while.

JUGS Color Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card for the JUGS Color Challenge - lt. blue, orange and brown.

ETA:  Yea, my card was chosen as Chic of the Week at JUGS.

ETA:  My card was an Honorable Mention at The Flower Challenge.

I just received an order from Spellbinders which included the lt. blue card stock (Glacier) and the Dazzling Dots EF, which were perfect for this challenge.  I die cut the Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms from white and blended Pumpkin Pie ink in the centers, then added the brown die cut centers.  The sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts (retired) was stamped in brown ink on an Ornate Layers (retired) die cut and mounted with foam tape.  I then added the blooms with foam tape and brown leaves cut from SU Forever Flourishing dies.  I used the largest die cut from Soft Suede card and cut off pieces to fit around the blooms.  I colored enamel dots with a Pumpkin Pie Blend and added them for a little bling.

I will also link to Darnell's NBUS challenge as this is the first time I used the EF and new card stock.

Just Us Girls - Color Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I made with some new dies I just received.  I used the colors from Just Us Girls Color Week.

I used my new PTI Lotty Dotty die to cut the white panel and layered it over a brown panel.  The sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts (retired) was stamped in brown ink.  The flower is from my new Creative Expressions Florals 7 die.  I cut it in Pumpkin Pie and then inked the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink.  The flower center is from a SU set and cut in the same brown cardstock. The leaves are die cut in green with PTI Into The Blooms: Dahlia dies.  I inked the edges with green ink.

I will also link to Darnell's MYNBUS as I have not used the dies before.
