I am so delighted that Hazel at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra asked me to be her guest designer for October. This is a monthly challenge and is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps. I have chosen two Bugaboo digi images to use for my cards.
My first card uses Deacon Christmas-Elf Presents. I printed him out on X-Press It Blending card and colored him with Copics and Promarkers, then cut him out with Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles. I sponged SU Bashful Blue ink around the edges while it was still in the die. I cut the SU Real Red mat by hand. The DSP is from Recollections Festivities 6x6 pad. I embossed the SU Wild Wasabi panel with a Cuttlebug EF and swiped my white ink pad acrossed the raised parts to give it highlights. The sentiment is from SU Riveting (retired) stamped in Real Red ink and punched out with a 1-1/4" circle punch. The Real Red mat is cut with MFT Circle Stax die-namics. The sentiment and image panels are mounted with foam tape. The white card base and mat is Canvas Corp Heavy White Cardstock.
For my second card, I am using Ava Christmas-Mistletoe Fairy. I also printed her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers. I cut her out with MFT Pierced Circle Stax Die-namics, sponged SU Bashful Blue ink around the edges and matted her on a Spellbinder's Lacey Circle die-cut from SU Cherry Cobbler CS. I added some sparkle to the star and around her wings with a Sakura Clear Glitter pen (but it doesn't show up in the photo). The red dotted DSP is from SU Festival of Prints Pad (retired) and the lt. green DSP is by The Paper Studio. The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and punched with SU Word Window punch, and matted on a punched Cherry Cobbler Modern Label. The 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon is also SU. The mats are SU Cherry Cobbler CS and the base of the card is Canvas Corp. Heavy White Cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed looking at my cards.
I would like to thank Hazel again for allowing me to be her Guest Designer for October. Be sure and stop by her blog and link up your Christmas cards. Remember it is always "Anything Goes" as long as it is Christmas.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
