The Dynamic Duos #90 - Thinking of You

Happy Saturday my crafty friends.  It is time for another Dynamic Duos color challenge and this week is Black Tie week with the colors Black and Daffodil Delight.  We also have the dessert "Option" of a shaped/fun fold card.
.

My card base is Daffodil Delight, the mats are Basic Black, and the DSP is from DCWV Lemon Flower mat stack.  I stamped the flowers from SU Flower Shop in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on Daffodil Delight and punched them out with the matching Pansy Punch.  I shaped the petals with my fingers, added black pearls to the centers and then mounted them with foam dimensionals.  The leaves are punched with the SU Bird Builder punch.  The sentiment is from SU Sincere Salutations (retired) on a Spellbinders Classic Oval and matted with Spellbinders Floral Oval die-cut, and mounted with foam dimensionals. I sponged Daffodil Delight ink around the sentiment while it was still in the die.

Now hop over to the Dynamic Duos blog and check out the fabulous creations by my fellow Design Team members.  I hope you can join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Seize The Birthday

Good Morning and Happy New Year everyone.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and start of the New Year.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This week we have the option of using "numbers".
Before I get to my card, I would like to give a big shout out and Happy Birthday wishes to one of our fellow Design Team members Sheri who has a birthday this week.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday Sheri!!!
I made my card in honor of your birthday.
I went with the "numbers option" and used a Cuttlebug EF to embossed the Melon Mambo panel and swiped Whisper White Craft Ink over the raised numbers. This panel is matted on Pink Pirouette CS and adhered to the Whisper White card base.  The strip of DSP is from the Gingham Garden pack and is matted with Crumb Cake which is punched with the SU Scallop Border punch.  The sentiment from Apothecary Art was stamped in Melon Mambo ink and I hand cut the flagged ends.  The flower from SU Flower Shop is stamped in Melon Mambo ink and punched with the matching Pansy Punch and mounted with dimensionals.  The Old Olive leaves are cut with the Little Leaves Sizzlet die.
 That's it for my card.

My fellow Design Team members have also created some fabulous samples, to inspire you with, so be sure to stop by Seize the Birthday and check them out. We can’t wait to see what you create!!! GlendaBrenda, Colleen,  Jodene, Macarena, Nancy , Sheri

Happy Birthday Wishes for the Dynamic Duos

This is my card for the Dynamic Duos #69 challenge.  This is only my second time using Pacific Point, but I think it is a lovely shade of blue (and blue is my favorite color).   I used Canvas Corp Heavy White CS and SU Pacific Point & Old Olive CS.  I din't have any Pacific Point DSP so I made my own with PP ink and MFT's LJD-Textile Backgrounds.  The flowers from SU Flower Shop are stamped in PP ink and the lighter one is stamped off once.  The Old Olive leaves are diecut with SU Little Leaves Sizzlet. I cut them apart and fit them around my flowers.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched stamped in PP ink and cut out with a Spellbinder's Classic Oval and matted with Classic Scalloped Oval.  I lightly sponged a litte blue ink around the sentiment while it was still in the die.  I used the SU Lacey Brocade EF on the white panel.  That's it for my card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.

Happy Birthday Wishes for Seize The Birthday Challenge

It's Thursday and time for another Seize The Birthday challenge -
It's an Anything Goes Birthday type of challenge with a "Toppings " Option!

Remember that a Topping is infact an "Option" and not a requirement!
Because not everyone always wants a cherry on top...now do they??
So this week your "Toppings" option is

" Monochromatic."

If you decide to add a topping to your Birthday card/project it
should exude one particular color of your choice!
Remember you can always add neutrals to your design

I went with the "Toppings" option and here is my monochromatic card:

I chose the new SU in-color Crisp Cantaloupe as my monochromatic color and added the neutrals of SU Whisper White and Crumb Cake (kraft).  I used an older Seize The Birthday sketch #19, but I turned the sketch sideways.  I stamped the flower from SU Flower Shop in Crisp Cantaloupe ink and punched it out with the SU Pansy Punch.  I used the Sizzlets Little Leaves die and Martha Stewart fern punch in Crumb Cake CS around the flower.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched set stamped in Basic Gray ink and mounted on a Spellbinders Timeless Rectangle diecut from Crisp Cantalouple CS.  I also added some faux stitching around the sentiment. The base of the card is Crisp Cantaloupe also.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments.

Freshly Made Sketches 100th Sketch

I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches 100th sketch celebration using their very first sketch. Check out their blog and all the fabulous inspiration shared there.

I used Canvas Corp Heavy White Cardstock for my base and the DSP is from Carta Bella's Giddy Up 6x6 pad.  The mats are SU Early Espresso CS, as well as the Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish diecut.  The flower is from SU Flower Shop set stamped in Regal Rose ink on some older Regal Rose DSP. I inked the edges of the flower with Regal Rose ink and added a pearl to the center.  The strip under the flower is Regal Rose CS embossed with the SU Snowburst EF.  The Early Espresso strip is punched with the SU Scallop Trip border punch.  The sentiment is a retired SU stamp.  I added some faux stitching around the sentiment panel with my Early Espresso Marker.  Lastly, I added the 3 small pearls in the top right corner and that's it for my card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.
