Birthday Card for Two Challenges

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made using Mojo Monday Sketch 535

ETA:  Yea, my card was chosen as the Headliner at The Paper Players.
I used the third row down: patterned paper, birthday, flowers.
I used SU Everything Is Rosy for the flowers and leaves, stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped the flowers twice to make them a little darker as they match the paper better.  I snipped between the petals, shaped the flowers and added a gold faceted gem to the centers.  I also shaped the leaves a little by creasing the centers with my finger.  I had the pattern paper laying on my table and don't remember which 6x6 pad it is from.  The white panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Courtyard EF and the white circle is cut with a stitched circle die and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit and when you take time to leave a comment.  I hope you are getting lots of cards made during this time.  Stay safe.  Blessings to you all.

Happy Stamping,

Happy Birthday for Mojo Monday 533

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made using Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #533.
The cardstock and pattern paper are Terracotta Tile.  The embossed panel is made with SU Stylish Scroll EF.  I decided it was about time I used the SU Everything is Rosy set that I have had for quite a while.  I will have to use it more oftem as I love how the card turned out.  I stamped the flowers in Terracotta Tile ink and die cut with the matching dies. I cut between each petal of the flower and  shaped the flowers so they wouldn't be flat.  I added a large gold glitter enamel dot to the flower centers. The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz with a die from the set.  The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments.  I die cut the small white panel with a Stitched So Sweetly die and mounted it with foam tape.  The 3 small enamel dots are from the In-Color Faceted Dots in Terracotta Tile.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope your having a blessed day and staying safe.

Happy Birthday for Mojo Monday Sketch #535

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card for a friend that I made using Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #535.  She has 3 sketches this time and so far I have done one.  I hope to do the other 2 also.

I used a retired SU stamp, Sail Away, and stamped it on a punched out circle from SU February Paper Pumpkin kit.  The striped paper is also from the kit.  I stamped the boat on another piece of cardstock, colored the boat and flag, and added a little gray shading on the sails. I fussy cut this image, glued it over the stamped image on the circle and mounted this with foam tape.  I added a strip of Pretty Peacock for the small vertical panel.  The Pool Party panel is embossed with the Pinewood Planks EF.  The sentiment if from SU Music From the Heart and added with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.  Stay safe and healthy.

Happy Birthday for MOJO Monday #529

Today I am sharing a card I made for Mojo Monday Sketch #529.
I love using Julee's sketches and this time I used some paper from my stash I have had for awhile.   I made the sunflower with an MFT die, had it laying on some of the blue paper on my table and thought it looked great together, so proceeded to make my card.  SU Coastal Cabana matched the pattern paper so I used it for a mat and the strip across the panel.  I embossed the white panel with SU Tufted EF.  The sentiment is from SU Magnolia Blooms.  I added 3 small colored pearls and raised the sentiment panel with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for Mojo Sketch 516

I have an anniversary card I made for friends using Julie's Mojo Monday Sketch 516.

The pattern papers are from Parklane Tea Blossoms 12x12 pad I got during a recent shopping trip to JoAnn's.  The colors and prints are so pretty in this pad.  I will be using them again.  The sentiment is from a stamp I got on E-Bay.  I stamped it in Old Olive to match the scallop Old Olive mat.  The leaves in the paper are a similar shade.  This panel is mounted with foam tape.  I used Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose and matching dies for the flower.  I stamped the flower with Momento London Fog ink and sponged SU Blushing Bride ink over the petals.  I shaped them and offset the layers.  I colored the center with a yellow marker.  I also added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen over the flower center and the ends of the petals, and also over the sentiment.  It is so pretty and sparkly in person.
I tried to take a photo to show how it sparkles.  The colors are off but you can see the sparkle here. The leaves are from SU Painted Seasons as I thought they matched the leaves in the DSP.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Sending You Lots & Lots of Happy

Hello Friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a friend using the Mojo Monday #511 sketch (I did switch sides for the circle and rectangle as it suited the flower image better).  I am also entering it in The Flower Challange - Anything Goes - you know how I love to make floral cards, my favorite.
Here is my card.
All of the supplies are from Stampin Up except for the circle dies.  I love this floral image from the Sale-a-Bration set Lovely Lattice.  I stamped the image, colored it and then fussy cut just part of the image.  I mounted the flowers on the circle die cut with foam tape.  The card base and the mat are  Highland Heather.  The check paper is from the Gingham Gala 6x6 pad.  The sentiment is from the Lots of Happy Card kit and is stamped on a stitched rectangle die cut.  I added 3 small rhinestones for a little bit of bling.   The white panel is embossed with the Lace Dynamic Texture Impressions EF and is very pretty.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Anniversary Card for Mojo Monday 500

I have some good friends that have an anniversary coming up in July so I used the Mojo Monday #500 sketch and red, white & blue to make their anniversary card.

The white panel is embossed with The Paper Studio Timeless Hearts EF.  I used MFT Electric Red CS and ink and SU Night of Navy CS and ink.  I also used a strip of white glitter paper.  The sentiment panel is die cut with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Story and the hearts are from Verve's Chevron Love.  I used the matching Wavy Hearts die to die cut the hearts and also cut out the centers and interlocked them.  The sentiment panel is mounted with foam tape and I used pieces of foam tape on parts of the heart to mount them.  The heart border is cut with Verve's Scallop Trim Trio die set.

Mojo Monday challenge

I made my card using the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and was trying to get it done to add to the Merry Monday challenge to use a deer on your card, but I didn't quite make it for the Merry Monday challenge.

For my card I used DSP from MME Lost & Found Christmas 6x6 pad and matted them with SU Crumb Cake.  I used the cute deer from Verve's Santa's Helper.  The sentiment is from the same set and is cut with an MFT Pierced Circle die.  I stamped the white panel in Crumb Cake ink with MFT Cheesecloth Background.  This panel,  the deer and the sentiment are all mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday

Happy Thursday friends.  We have another new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and this week it is anything goes, for a birthday, of course.

For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch 468
and my new Verve stamps Kindness Matters and the matching dies Great Kindness.  I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS and sponged SU Baha Beeze ink on the petals.  I layered the flower and added a large golden rhinestone to the center.  The leaves are also cut with the same die set using Pear Pizzazz CS.  The DSP I used was on my desk and is from an older paper pad and I don't have the name.  It has sparkle to it.  I cut the small tags with an older McGill punch.  I punched a hole in the tops and added Black/White Baker's Twine.  The sentiment is Verve's Happy Birthday Plain Jane stamp (sorry, it may be discontinued as I couldn't find it on the site).  The sentiment panel is cut with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats-Rounded Rectangles dies, but I only cut part of the way and then put it back in the die and cut the other end to make it a square.  The tags and flower are mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.
I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Holidays

Good Morning friends and Happy New Year to you all.  We have a color challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges.

I used Mojo Monday sketch #428 for my card.

The DSP is Echo Park Reflections Christmas.  The tan snowflake is the reverse side of the stripes. The mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the card base is SU Crumb Cake.  I stamped the candle image and sentiment from Verve's Light My World.  I used my water brush pen and Riding Hood Red ink to color the poinsettias and Promarkers on the flames and edges of the candles.  I cut the flag with an MFT die from Blueprints 24 and then angled the top corners. The circles are cut with MFT Circle Stax 1 and 2.  I did some paper piercing around the edges and sponged them lightly with SU Crumb Cake ink.  I mounted the tag and circle with foam tape.  The gold ribbon is from my stash.

Hop over to Christmas Card Challenges and see what fabulous creations the team has to share with you.
