Make My Monday - Tag It

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Make My Monday and Mary has chosen Tag It for our theme.  I added a tag to my birthday card for a friend.

Make My Monday Challenge Blog

I embossed the top white panel with SU Timeworn Type EF, then added a strip of Night of Navy card and the striped DSP panel from SU Sun Prints.  The pretty flowers are from SU Sending Smiles and stamped in Calypso Coral and the leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz.  I die cut them with the matching dies and then added the flowers to the leaves and mounted them with foam tape.  I stamped and cut an extra flower and tiny leaves to mount on the end of the tag.  I added small gold color rhinestones to the flower centers.  The tag is cut with SU Tailor Made Tags dies.  The sentiment from SU Flowering Tulips is stamped in Night of Navy ink and then mounted with foam tape.  Oh, I added the white Baker's Twine bow before mounting the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for the Krafty Chicks Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I am sharing made for the Krafty Chicks Challenge - All Occasions.

Krafty Chicks Challenge

For my card I used Spellbinders Sunflower and Ladybugs die set for the flower and leaves.  I cut the flower 3 times from light yellow card and shaped the petals before gluing them together.  The kraft center is cut 2 times and the brown stamens (tiny stars) are cut 2 times and piled together with glue.  I think it turned out pretty cool.  The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz and shaped with my stylus.  I had this golden tan card (from a friend), cut to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 and embossed it with Spellbinders Flowers and Leaves EF.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Go To Greetings in Early Espresso on white and cut a strip to go across the card and added Early Espresso strips under the edges of the panel, then glued to the embossed panel.  I glued the flowers and leaves above the sentiment panel and glued the whole panel to a white card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Red, White, Plus one color

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and I am hosting this time.  For the topping option I chose Red, White Plus One Color as it is Valentine month and we always think of red and white.

Naturally, I made a floral card and chose green to go with my red and white flower card.  I used Altenew Cartoon Tulips stamp and die set for the tulips.  I colored them with SU Real Red and Granny Apple Green Blends, then die cut them with the matching die.   I used Altenew Waffled Diamonds 3D EF for the white panel, but first I cut the Spellbinders oval from the center.  After embossing it, I glued it to a panel of green pattern paper from my stash, and then glued the oval back in.  I mounted the tulips with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment is from an older SU set, stamped on a scrap of white.  I fussy cut the ends and mounted partially with foam tape and glued part of it over the flower stems.

Be sure to check out all the lovely cards by our team and guest designers over at Seize the Birthday.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Happy Birthday for Color Hues

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this one using the colors from Color Hues Challenge - Cyan & Lime Green

I first stamped Pinkfresh Studio's Diamond Tiles background in SU Parakeet Party and then cut it with the largest die from Pinkfresh's Blanket Stitched Rectangle die set.  I die cut the white panel with  SU Scalloped Contours die set, stamped the sentiment from SU Happy Thoughts in Tahitian Tide and then embossed the panel with SU Subtle EF (ret.).  The pretty bloom is cut with Papertrey Ink Into the Blooms II from SU Tahitian Tide.  I used the small and middle dies for this flower, cutting two layers each.  I added Wink of Stella to the flower petals and layered them together, shaping them with my fingers.  You can see the shine from the Wink of Stella in the photo below.

I added a pretty rhinestone to the center for extra bling.  The leaves are cut from Parakeet Party with a retired SU set.  I love this die and use it quite often, even though it is retired.  I glued the leaves under the flower petals and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  This is for a sweet young couple at church.

I used one of my favorite new flower dies - Spellbinders Club Blooms (January Large Die of the Month Club).  It makes the prettiest flowers in white or colors.  I die cut the layers in white and blended SU Balmy Blue ink to the centers.  I glued them together and added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) to the centers.  The background panel is cut from Balmy Blue and embossed with SSS Spun Glass EF.  The leaves and bud stems are die cut with some green from my stash and the buds are cut from Balmy Blue.  I added these around the flower cluster after gluing the buds on the stems.  The sentiment is from an older stamp I have had for several years and has no name on it.  I die cut it with MFT Essential Stitched Sentiments dies and mounted it with foam tape.  I added some small clear rhinestones for more sparkle and shine.

Make My Monday Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a new card for Make My Monday Challenge #194 and the theme is All Creatures Great or Small chosen by Debbie.

I chose this cute image from SU From All of Us (ret.) as it has several animals, great and small.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with several different SU Blends.  I fussy cut the image as there is no matching die.  I blended DOI on the white panel for the sky and grass and then stamped two of the branch images and colored them with the Blends.  I stamped a third one on a scrap piece, fussy cut it, and mounted it with tiny foam pieces between the other two to make it fuller looking.  I mounted the cute animals with foam tape also.  The sentiment is from the same set and I cut it apart and mounted it with foam tape also.

Be sue to check out all the fun cards by the team over at Make My Monday.

You Make My Heart Race

Hello friends.  I made a card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Fun With Dies and they are showcasing MFT products.  I used this sweet MFT stamp and die set called You Make My Heart Race -  isn't she cute.  This is for a young girl at church whose birthday is Valentine's Day.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics and SU Blends - Flirty Flamingo (scooter) and Balmy Blue (dress).  I die cut the white panel with a Stitched Rectangle die and blended blue ink for the sky and gray for the road.  I added a thin black mat and mounted it to a piece of pattern paper from my stash, and then to the card base.  The image is mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment and die are from Hero Arts Ribbon Message Stamp & Cut, which I have had for quite a while.  I stamped the sentiment in black and colored it in with Flirty Flamingo and mounted it with foam tape also.

I will also link to Darnell's NBUS Challenge as this is the first time I have used this new set.

Seize the Birthday - Use Your Initials

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda has chosen the "Topping" option to Use Your Initials.

You can use one initial, your first and last initial, or all three, as a few of our
Design Team Members have done.  Lots of options, so I hope you have some fun with it!

I went with the topping option of using your initials and mine are JB.  The B was easy of course, blue, birthday.  I thought of the word joy for J and searched through several stamp sets to find the one I wanted and used 4 different stamp sets to create my sentiment.  I cut it in strips to place around the focal image which is a tier of cupcakes from MFT Sweet BD Wishes.  After stamping the image I colored it with SU Blends, Smokey Slate, Crumb Cake and Tahitian Tide.  I used a lt. blue panel cut with SU Scalloped Contours die and embossed with the Subtle EF.  I die cut the white panel with MFT Inside & Out Stitched Arches.  I mounted the white panel and sentiment with foam tape.  I shaded the bottom of the white panel for the cup cakes to sit on and they are mounted with foam tape also.

Happy Birthday for Color Hues

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made this one using the colors at the Color Hues Challenge - Sage & Coral.

I used a new stamp & die set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called My Savior's Love for the petty blooms & leaves.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with SU Blends Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze for the blooms, and Soft Succulent for the leaves.  I cut them with the matching dies but also did a little fussy cutting to remove some of the white edge.  I used a die from Sizzix Layered Plaid for the white panel and added a panel of SU Soft Succulent card behind it.  I mounted this to the white card base.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Peaceful Moments in Calypso Coral ink and die cut it with a stitched oval die.  I mounted the sentiment and the flowers with foam tape.

Happy Anniversary for some friends

Hello friends. It has been a week since I posted a card but have been busy.  I have an anniversary card I made for some good friends to share today.

I used my new SU Two-Tone Flora stamp and die set. This is a layered stamp set and I love using it.  I stamped the flowers in Pacific Point ink, stamping off once for the main layer and full strength for the detail layer. The leaves were stamped in Soft Succulent ink and die cut.  I cut a panel of white (4 by 5-1/4) and embossed with the Tasteful Textile EF (ret.).  I cut the smaller white panel with a Scallop Contours die and glued the leaves and one flower down, then added the other flower with foam tape.  The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point ink and is from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments - I have had this set for a long time and love the font in the sentiments.   I mounted this panel to the card and added 3 dark blue rhinestones for the finishing touch.

I am linking this to several challenges -
