Happy Birthday

Hello friends, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time it is "Anything Goes" for a birthday.
The inspiration for my card came from this card by Wanda Guess.  I made this card for a young girl at church.  She loved it.
I used  MFT BB Adorable Elephants and the matching dies.  The sentiment is from the same set and is mounted with foam tape.  I diecut the elephant and balloon shapes, stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with Promarkers. I fussy cut the butterfly.  All are mounted with foam tape on an MFT Stitched Square Stax.  I sponged some clouds using a punched scallop circle, and added some grass with a very old DOTS Hillside Grass stamp.  The DSP is from My Mind's Eye My Girl 6x6 pad.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Ho Ho Ho

Hello friends.  I had a little crafting time this afternoon so I made this card for Merry Monday #185 challenge - use boots on your card.

I cut this cute design with my Silhouette and adhered it to a SU Night of Navy panel embossed with the SU Lucky Stars EF.  The Ho Ho Ho is cut on my Silhouette also.  The Merry Christmas is from an Inspired by Stamping set.

I am also entering this in the Silhouette Challenges #32  - Anything Goes

JOY

This is a special project I made to display on my mantle for Christmas and to represent the true meaning of Christmas.  These are paper mache letters from Hobby Lobby.  I painted them ivory color, chose different DSP, My Mind's Eye - green and holly print, and the red music paper is from a Recollections Christmas pad.  I traced the letters backwards on the back of the papers, and fussy cut them out.  The nativity scene is cut with my Silhouette twice and layered together for sturdiness.  I painted over the letters with Americana DuraClean Satin Varnish to seal them.  The sentiment from SU Reason for the Season set is stamped on SU Very Vanilla and punched with a 2" circle punch.  It is mounted on a gold foil MFT doily die (discontinued).  The poinsettias are made with MFT Poinsettia die from MFT Electric Red CS.  I added a large glittery enamel dot by The Paper Studio to the centers.  The leaves are from a Christmas pick from the Dollar Tree.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

More Anniversary Cards

These are my other two anniversary cards for couples at church.  I will give them to the couples tomorrow.  They are always appreciative of the cards I make for them.

This card is made with SU Lost Lagoon CS and ink.  The hearts are from SU Always (retired).  The top heart is glued down and the bottom heart is mounted with foam tape. The white panel is embossed with an Anna Griffin EF Poppy.  I added some Recollections silver glitter paper behind the embossed panel and the sentiment panel.

For this card I used SU Real Red and Old Olive CS, and Corediations White Heavy Card.  The flowers and leaves are cut with Lil' Inker Designs Perky Posies Die Set.  I added some small pearls to the centers of the flowers. The fern is punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.  I used Spellbinders Classic Circle dies to cut the center and layered a Fancy Lattice die cut behind it.  This was adhered to a Real Red panel.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments.

I am entering the 2nd card in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - die crazy.

Seize the Birthday - Red & White

Welcome to a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time our "toppings" option is to use Red & White on your birthday card.

For my card I used some older gingham paper by Making Memories, SU Real Red and Coredinations Heavy White Card.  The scallop red mat is cut with a die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 set.  The flower from SU You've Got This was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blossoms.  I fussy cut the flagged ends, shaped it and mounted it with foam tape in the middle.  The flower panel is also mounted with foam tape.

Now check out all my teammates fabulous creations over at Seize the Birthday.
I hope you play along with us.

Joyful Christmas Wishes

I made this card for the JUGS #321 Color Challenge. I used pink for my card.
I used Spellbinders Poinsettia die for my Pretty In Pink poinsettia and added some Martha Stewart white fern punches, and pearls to the center.  I went over the veins of the flower with my gel clear glitter pen. The sentiment is from SU Joyful Christmas stamped in Versamark and silver embossing powder, on Spellbinders Floral Ovals die.  I mounted the sentiment panel and poinsettia with foam tape.  The ribbon is some older Christmas ribbon from Michaels.  The DSP is from Making Memories Sabrina 6x6 pad (I had in my stash for several years).  The pink mat is cut with a die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 20.  The card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Warm Birthday Wishes

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time our "Toppings" options is to use a holiday stamp on your birthday card.

For my card I used this cute MFT Presents for You image (sorry, it has been discontinued), stamped on X-Press It Blending Card.  I colored her with Copics and paper-pieced her coat and hat.  I added a mixture of Flower Soft and Fun Flock to the hat brim, pompom, and the bottom of her coat.  I used MFT Happy Banner and Holiday Hugs Snowman sets for the sentiment.  I masked parts of each sentiment before inking and stamping.  I used Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scallop Ovals to cut the image and mat.  The image panel and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from Pebbles Yours Truly 6x6 pad.  The card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.

I hope you will hop over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the fabulous cards by our surprise party guest and the design team.  I hope you will join us.

Wedding Wishes

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a wedding shower I went to this past weekend.
The flowers are from Verve's One Person (discontinued) and the sentiment is from Verve's Love Story (on sale).  I stamped the flowers several times in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and sponged them with SU Bravo Burgundy (retired) and the leaves in SU Pear Pizzazz.  I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and mounted them with foam tape between the layers and to the card.  I added a flat back pearl to the centers.  The white panel is embossed, but not sure of the name of the EF.  The Bravo Burgundy scallop mat is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  The white panel and card base are Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate the time you take to leave a comment.
Have a wonderful day.
