Merry Monday #275 - Use Pastels

Happy Monday friends.  This week on Merry Monday Challenge Sue is challenging us to create a card with pastel colors.

I used pastel Copic markers to color this cute Ava Christmas Sitter digi image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I added Fun Flock to her hat brim and pompom and mounted her with foam tape to an MFT Pierced Oval of pinkish woodgrain paper from Pink Paislee C'est la Vie 6x6 pad and some light dotted paper.  This was matted with an MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Oval cut from Recollections Lt. Green CS.  The oval was mounted with foam tape on a white panel embossed with Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes EF.  The greeting from MFT Snow Globe Sentiments was curved on the stamp block to fit in the die cut banner I had on my desk, and then mounted on my card.

Now check out all my teammates lovely pastel creations over at Merry Monday and I am sure you will be inspired.  Hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #274 - Use Snow

Hello friends and welcome to our Merry Monday Challenge #274.  This week Nina wants us to create a Christmas card with snow on it.
For my card I used this cute MFT PI Happy Heart Snowman.  I colored him with Promarkers and fussy cut him.  I also die cut the MFT Snow Bank and added both with foam tape.  For the background I sponged on some lt. blue ink using the Taylored Expressions Cloud Border die and then used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil and embossing paste to add some falling snow.

Be sure to check out all the cards by my fellow designers over at Merry Monday Challenge and play along with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - One layer

Hello Friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and this week our "Toppings" option is to make a one layer card.  I am not too good at doing one layer cards as I like to add layers and embellishments.

I used this cute MFT PI Hello Cupcake image.  I stamped her and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  Then I made a mask and stenciled the MFT Small Brick Wall with MFT Natural Ink.  I hand drew the sidewalk and colored it with promarkers. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp It's Your Birthday, and that is my one layer card.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #273 - Use Red and Turquoise

Good morning Merry Monday fans. This week Marcia wants us to create a card in red and turquoise colors.
For my card I used some red and turquoise pattern papers from an older Martha Stewart 12x12 paper pad.   The red check banner and red mat are cut with MFT Piereced Fishtale Flag die and Fishtale
layer die.  The sentiment is from Recollections Christmas stamp set and  is cut with MFT Stitched Postage Stamp die set.  I cut the mat with the same die and then trimmed the sentiment panel to fit inside the mat.  The flower is made with the smallest die from the Poppystamps Stitched Poinsettia Trio.  I cut it twice, layered it and added pearls to the center.   The flower and sentiment panel are mounted with foam tape.  The white panel is embossed with a Cuttlebug EF.

Now check out all the different ways our designers used red and turquoise on their cards over at Merry Monday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along.

January Viva la Verve Sketch

I have a baby shower to go to for a sweet young lady at church.  This is their first baby and I made this card with papers I used for the mini album I made for her (I will share photos later).  I used the January Viva la Verve sketch.
I used Verve's Little Ones set for the sentiment and rattles and colored the rattles with Copics.  I die cut them with the matching dies. I matted the DSP with vanilla CS.  The DSP is from an older K&Co. paper pad called Little Wonder - she is using yellow in the nursery and these papers have a lot of yellow in them..  The sentiment and rattles are mounted with foam tape.
I added some SU Blushing Bride ribbon which matches the papers perfectly.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look.  I appreciate it when you take the time to leave me a comment.  Have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls - Anything Goes

Hello Frirnds. Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my daughter,  I am linking it up over at Just Us Girls - Anything Goes Challenge.
The flowers and leaves are from the retired SU Secret Garden stamps and matching dies.   The flowers are stamped in SU Strawberry Slush and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz.  I trimmed between each petal and used my stylus to shape the flower petals.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blooms.  The white and pink panels are cut with Sizzix Framelits #561561.  The large white panel is embossed with a Spellbinders EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #272 - Use Glasses

Happy Monday friends.  It is time for a new challenge on Merry Monday and this week Leanne wants us to create a Christmas card with glasses on it.
I didn't have any glass stamps so I found these cute elf and Santa glasses in my Silhouette files and cut them out.  I think they are so cute.  I added some sparkle to the belt buckles and buttons with my Wink of Stella pen.  The white panel is embossed with a Darice EF.  I am not sure which stamp set the sentiment is from but it is cut with an MFT Blueprints 21 die and mounted with foam tape.  The glasses are also mounted with foam tape.

Check out all the designers' cards over at Merry Monday and join in this fun challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

Hello friends.  We are starting 2018 off with an "Anything Goes" challenge at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

 Here is my card.
The sentiment is from Verve's Cake & Candles and the flowers are from Verve's Winter Peace Digital set.  I colored the flowers with Promarkers, fussy cut them and mounted them with foam tape.  The DSP is from Go! Weekend by Nicole.  The mats are SU Smoky Slate.  The white panel is embossed with a Spellbinders EF.

I used the December Viva la Verve sketch challenge for my card and am linking it there.  I love this sketch and have made several cards with it.  The challenge closes tonight so I just made it in time with this card.

I hope you will check out all the cards by my fellow designers over at Seize the Birthday, and you will be inspired to play along.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Valentine's Day Card

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for an upcoming card class I am doing at our church.  Since it is Valentine's Day next month I thought they would enjoy making a Valentine card, plus we will be making a couple of other cards.  I went by the December Viva la Verve sketch but altered it a bit. I used a rectangle and added the two hearts for the circle elements.
ETA:  Here is a better picture I was able to take today which shows the true colors.

I had to take the photo inside and the color is not as bright as it should be, as it is a cold and dreary day here in Florida.  I know it is even colder in most states and even in North Florida.  I used retired SU red stripe paper, and some older Making Memories black dotted paper.  The hearts are cut with The Cat's Pajamas Heart Trio die.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Notes and the heart border is from Verve's Scallop Trim Trio die set.  The white panel is embossed with a Darice EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #271 - Use Embossing

Good Morning friends and Happy Monday.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and the beginning of a New Year.  It is never too early to get started on your Christmas cards for this year and you can join us at Merry Monday Challenge where Linda is starting us off with a challenge to use dry or heat embossing on our cards.
I chose dry embossing and used the SU Holly EF on the white panel (I thought the holly leaves went well with the holly leaves on the cup & saucer image).  The cup image and the sentiment are from a A Cup of Kindness digital set designed by Julee over at Verve Stamps.  I colored the cup image with Promarkers, fussy cut it, and adhered it with foam tape.  The DSP is from the Mad 4 Plaid 6x6 pad by Photoplay.  I matted the DSP and sentiment panel with black CS and adhered them to the embossed panel, and then to the card base.

Check out all the designers cards with embossing over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge and I hope you will join us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
