Welcome Baby

Hello friends.  I have a baby card to share today.  This one is for a couple at church who have a new baby boy.  I used the gingham prompt at Inspired By to make my card.

I used some older SU Balmy Blue gingham paper and matted it on Balmy Blue card stock and then to a white card base.  For the image I used a LOTV digital image Patchwork Balloons.  I printed it on white card stock, colored with Copics and die cut with a Spellbinders Essential Four Petals Labels die.  I fussy cut the Early Expresso mat and mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is from MFT Beautiful Baby stamp set stamped in black and mounted with foam tape.  I also made a baby mini album for the couple and will share photos later.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Card in a Box

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a baby card in a box for a sweet couple at church.  The baby shower is this weekend and I am also making a mini baby album, will post that later.
I used SU Balmy Blue CS and pattern paper with Whisper White mats.  Welcome Little One is a Simon Says Stamp die set; it's a boy! and the baby clothes line are from Inkadinkado.  The sweet baby image is a downloaded image.  The duck on the side panel is from a retired SU set, colored with Daffodil Delight Blends.  The baby bottle is a digi download.  I adhered the images to the middle panels without using clear plastic strips to elevate them.  I think it turned out adorable and I am sure she will love it.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Welcome to the World Little One

I went to a baby shower today and this is the card I made for the expectant mother.  They did not want to find out the sex of the baby so I went with pale yellow and green for my card.
The pattern paper is from an MFT 6x6 pad.  The sentiment and the baby rattles are from a Verve stamp set.  The heart border die is also from Verve, and I used the tiny hearts from the cut out to add to the pattern paper sections.  I die cut the Spellbinders label die and inked around the edges with pale green ink before removing it from the die.  I then stamped the sentiment in the center.  I colored the rattles to match the paper and then mounted them to the sentiment panel, which is mounted  to the card with foam tape.   Lastly, I added a cute mint green twine bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope  you have a wonderful day.

Welcome Little One

Hello friends.  I have a baby card to share today.  This one is for the daughter of a friend at church.  I am also making a mini album and will share photos of it later,  It is not quite finished, but I will share the cover which matches the card.
The image is a digital image "Tex", from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I made it smaller for the card and larger for the mini album cover.  I colored both images with Copics and Promarkers.  The die cut sentiment is Welcome, Little One by Simon Says Stamp.  I like how it has the shadow die cut with it.  The papers are from my stash of baby papers. :)  I matted them with MFT Blue Breeze cardstock, which is a perfect match for the pattern papers.

Here is the cover of the mini album.  More photos to come.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your comments are always appreciated.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

January Viva la Verve Sketch

I have a baby shower to go to for a sweet young lady at church.  This is their first baby and I made this card with papers I used for the mini album I made for her (I will share photos later).  I used the January Viva la Verve sketch.
I used Verve's Little Ones set for the sentiment and rattles and colored the rattles with Copics.  I die cut them with the matching dies. I matted the DSP with vanilla CS.  The DSP is from an older K&Co. paper pad called Little Wonder - she is using yellow in the nursery and these papers have a lot of yellow in them..  The sentiment and rattles are mounted with foam tape.
I added some SU Blushing Bride ribbon which matches the papers perfectly.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look.  I appreciate it when you take the time to leave me a comment.  Have a wonderful day.

Viva la Verve September Sketch

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Merry Monday card.
I made this baby card for a friend using the September Viva la Verve sketch.
I rotated the sketch so it would fit the sentiment better.  I used my new Verve Little Ones set for the greeting and the baby rattles, both stamped in SU Soft Suede.  I die cut the rattles with the matching Little Ones die set.  I mounted the greeting panel with foam tape.  The DSP is from Kaisercraft Peek-a-Boo Girl 12x12 pad.  I used this paper as I have made a mini album for the expectant mother and wanted the card to match (photos to come). The mats are SU Blushing Bride CS and the card base and greeting panel are SU Naturals White CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls #300 challenge - Congratulations

Just Us Girls is celebrating their 300th challenge and this week it is a word theme and the word is "Congratulations".

For my card I used the 3 adorable animals from Verve's To The Moon.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Promarkers, and fussy cut them out.  The sentiment is from MFT's Grand Greetings and was perfect for this occasion.  I stamped it in Memento ink and rounded the corners with an EK Success punch.  The DSP is from an older retired SU pack.  The card base and mats are from MFT Sno Cone CS.  The white panel is embossed with Sizzix Stars & Swirls EF.  The sentiment and animals are mounted with foam tape.

I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - "Going Dotty" as there are dots in the swirls of the EF and also the spots on the giraffe, sorta.

Welcome Precious Little One

I made this card for a good friend's daughter's baby shower this weekend.  She is expecting a boy.  The stork image is from a real old Close to My Heart stamp set, stamped in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics and fussy cut.  It has several cute images and this one is perfect for a baby card.  The sentiment is from Verve's "To The Moon" set stamped in SU Baha Breeze ink, punched with a circle punch and matted on a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle die cut. I paper-pierced the scallops.  The DSP is from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy 6x6 pad.  The card base is MFT Smooth White CS and the mats are SU Soft Sky CS.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Sweet Baby Boy

These are two baby boy cards I made for a friend who requested them.

Card 1:  I used last week's sketch from The Paper Players.  The image is from SU A Slice of Life (I just love that cute little onesie with the heart) and stamped in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card.  I used my blender pens and Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink inks to color the image.  The sentiment is from SU Itsy Bitty Banners stamped in Mememto Black ink on Bashful Blue CS and cut out by hand. It is mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from SU Nursery Nest (retired).  The hearts are from SU Heart trio punch (retired).  I round the corners of each panel and mounted them on Bashful Blue CS.  I inked the edges of each panel with Bashful Blue ink.

Card 2:  I CASE'd my self for this card.  You can see the original .here.  I used the same image from A Slice of Life, stamped in Mememto ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with blender pen and Bashful Blue ink.  I cut it out with Spellbinder's Ovals and inked with BB ink while still in the die. It is matted with a SP Scalloped Oval cut from Bashful Blue CS and mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from MFT PI Cute As A Button stamp set and cut with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax & Fishtail Flags Layers Stax. The center panel is SU Bashful Blue DSP and the other printed paper is some from my stash, which I thought matched the cute image.  The buttons are from my stash also and mounted with Glue Dots.

Paper Players #133 - Cute As A button

Here is my card for this week's The Paper Players #133 challenge for Buttons & Bows for Baby.   I started with last week's MFT sketch.  I used some White CS from my stash for the base of my card and for the image and sentiment panels.  All the DSP is from an older Martha Stewart baby pad.  I stamped the image from SU A Slice of Life in Mememto Tuexedo Black ink and colored it with a SU Pink Pirouette marker and a Copic marker for the heart and collar band.  I inked the oval with Pink Pirouette ink while it was still in the Nesties Oval die. It is mounted on a Nestie Scalloped Oval that is mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from MFT PI-Sew Cute stamp set stamped in Mememto black ink and cut with MFT Fishtail Flax Stax.  The buttons are from my stash and I tied cute little bows with some white Baker's Twine and adhered them with Glue Dots.

I am also linking this to The Cuttlebug Spot's challenge to use buttons.
