Birthday Card for Two Challenges

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made using Mojo Monday Sketch 535

ETA:  Yea, my card was chosen as the Headliner at The Paper Players.
I used the third row down: patterned paper, birthday, flowers.
I used SU Everything Is Rosy for the flowers and leaves, stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped the flowers twice to make them a little darker as they match the paper better.  I snipped between the petals, shaped the flowers and added a gold faceted gem to the centers.  I also shaped the leaves a little by creasing the centers with my finger.  I had the pattern paper laying on my table and don't remember which 6x6 pad it is from.  The white panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Courtyard EF and the white circle is cut with a stitched circle die and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit and when you take time to leave a comment.  I hope you are getting lots of cards made during this time.  Stay safe.  Blessings to you all.

Happy Birthday Bunny

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.  I used the middle row across: die-cut, spring, birthday
The Whimsey Stamps Bunny With Daffodil is a sign of spring.  I stamped and colored him with Promarkers.  I put a pale gray shading around the bunny outline but it is hard to see.  I sponged the clouds and grass and then die cut him with a die from SU Nature's Thoughts.  I also die-cut the birthday sentiment with an MFT Stitched Banner die.  The bunny panel is mounted with foam tape. The dotted green paper is from a Simple Stories pad.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Blessings to all.

Happy Birthday for Mojo Monday 533

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made using Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #533.
The cardstock and pattern paper are Terracotta Tile.  The embossed panel is made with SU Stylish Scroll EF.  I decided it was about time I used the SU Everything is Rosy set that I have had for quite a while.  I will have to use it more oftem as I love how the card turned out.  I stamped the flowers in Terracotta Tile ink and die cut with the matching dies. I cut between each petal of the flower and  shaped the flowers so they wouldn't be flat.  I added a large gold glitter enamel dot to the flower centers. The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz with a die from the set.  The sentiment is from Peaceful Moments.  I die cut the small white panel with a Stitched So Sweetly die and mounted it with foam tape.  The 3 small enamel dots are from the In-Color Faceted Dots in Terracotta Tile.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope your having a blessed day and staying safe.

Happiest Birthday Ever

Hello friends.  I hope you are staying safe and healthy.  I have been staying in and getting lots of cards done.  This one is for a young boy at church.
WOW!  I was so excited to see my card won at MFT Sketch 482.

I used MFT Sketch 482 but turned it horizontally to fit my little critters.
The images are from MFT Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes and the sentiment is from MFT Birthday Buds.  I colored the images with Copics, die cut them with the matching dies and mounted them with foam tape.  The clouds are inked with a cloud die and the grass is punched with an old Fiskars punch I dug out as I couldn't find my grass die.  I cut two layers and mounted the top layer with foam tape and placed the critters between the layers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Seize the Birthday - For the Kids

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and this time I am the hostess and have chosen "For the Kids".  We always need cards for our kids, grandkids and even great-grandkids.

This card is for my great-granddaughter.  Can you tell her favorite color is purple, so I used that as the main color.    All the images are from SSS Party Like A Panda.  They are so cute and I wanted to use them.  I colored the images with Promarkers.  The two presents are fussy cut and mounted with foam tape.  The mat is SU Highland Heather.

Hop on over to Seize the Birthday and check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates and our guest designer.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your comments are always greatly appreciated.

CAS Christmas Challenge - Winter Flowers

This is my second post today but I had to do this card for the CAS Christmas Challenge - Winter Flowers.  I love making cards with flowers and I had lots of poinsettias to choose from. :)

I stamped Avery Elle Holiday Bouquet and colored it with SU Blends.  I lightly sponged blue ink around the image and then added Wink of Stella to the poinsettias.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I matted it with a thin red mat to make the poinsettias pop.  I am pleased with how the card turned out and am getting a start on my Christmas cards this year.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment.

Happy Birthday for The Paper Players

I am sharing a card for a young girl at church.  I used The Paper Players sketch to make my card.

ETA:  Yea, my card was one of the picks for A Cut Above at The Paper Players.
I stamped MFT's sweet PI Happy Birthday to You image, colored her with Copics and SU Flirty Flamingo (present), and then fussy cut her out.  I paper-pieced the ribbon on the present with some older paper from my stash.  The two strips are SU Flirty Flamingo and the white panel is embossed with SU Stylish Scroll EF.  I mounted the image and the sentiment panel with foam tape.  The sentiment is from MFT Birthday Buds.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stay safe and have a wonderful day.

I Spot Someone Who's Having a Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card for a young boy at church.  His family has horses and they ride a lot so I thought this would be a fun card for him.  He is turning 10.
I cut a panel of Canson Watercolor paper and used Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color the blue for the sky and green for the grass.  I stamped some grass stems with a really old CTMH stamp called Hillside Grass.  I die cut clouds with MFT Puffy Clouds and mounted them with foam tape.  The images and sentiment are from MFT Saddle Up and Celebrate stamps and dies.  I colored the images with Copics and SU Blends, die cut them, and mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same set and mounted with foam tape also.

I am linking to Just Us Girls - Color Week.  There is lots of blue and green, and a little yellow as the boy has blonde hair so I colored his hair yellow and also the belt buckle.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Mojo Monday Sketch #535

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card for a friend that I made using Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #535.  She has 3 sketches this time and so far I have done one.  I hope to do the other 2 also.

I used a retired SU stamp, Sail Away, and stamped it on a punched out circle from SU February Paper Pumpkin kit.  The striped paper is also from the kit.  I stamped the boat on another piece of cardstock, colored the boat and flag, and added a little gray shading on the sails. I fussy cut this image, glued it over the stamped image on the circle and mounted this with foam tape.  I added a strip of Pretty Peacock for the small vertical panel.  The Pool Party panel is embossed with the Pinewood Planks EF.  The sentiment if from SU Music From the Heart and added with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.  Stay safe and healthy.

Embossed Anniversary card

Hello friends.  I am sharing an anniversary card I made for friends at church.  Their anniversary is not until April, but I am getting a head start on April's cards.  My card was inspired by this lovely card I found by Wendy Lee on Pinterest.  (Thank you Wendy)
Wendy used copper embossing powder but I used silver embossing powder on Not Quite Navy CS (retired) and the same flower stamp from the February Pumpkin Paper kit.  The sentiment is from MFT Together Forever (discontinued).   I used a white mat and silver ribbon from my stash.  I was pleased with how it turned out and I thing the recipient will be also.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and stay safe and healthy.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a friend.  I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #532, but was too late to link it up on her blog.
I stamped the small poppy image in SU Peaceful Poppies in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with SU Calypso Coral (a good match with Terracotta Tile) and Granny Apple Green Blends.  It is die cut with a die from the matching die set.  I used Terracotta Tile Card and pattern paper.  The circle is a 2" punch and embossed with the Subtle EF.  The sentiment is from SU Music From the Heart stamped in Terracotta Tile ink on a die cut from Sending Flowers Dies.  I cut the ends off at an angle and mounted it with foam tape.  The white  background panel is embossed with the Stylish Scroll EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.   Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Happiest of Birthdays

Hello friends.  Today I have a birthday card to share.
I dug out PTI Vintage Linens set for the flowers.  I have had this set for quite awhile and have only used it once so I thought it needed to be inked up.  I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with SU Flirty Flamingo Blends.  The leaves are from an Impression Obsession set that I stamped and colored with Granny Apple Green Blends, then fussy cut them out.  I mounted the center flower with foam tape and glued the centers of the other flowers and then stuck the leaves under them.  These are added to a white panel die cut with a die from SU Nature's Thoughts Dies.  I added this panel with foam tape to the background which is a die cut cover plate (in my unused stash so not sure who it is by) and Flirty Flamingo DSP, and glued to the card base.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blooms (retired) and I added 3 small white sequins to finish it off.

I am linking to The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes (floral cards are my favorite kind to make)

Thanks so much for dropping by.  I really appreciate your comments and hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - A Touch of Green

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Vicki would like us to have a "Touch of Green" on our cards.

The flower I used is from SU February Paper Pumpkin kit.  I stamped it, colored with SU Petal Pink and Old Olive Blends, and then fussy cut it out.  I mounted it with foam tape on a panel die cut with Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle die and then embossed with SU Subtle EF.  The sentiment is from SU Happy Birthday to You (a free Sale-a-Bration set).  I cut the sentiment apart so I could stamp it on the panel.  I added the panel to an Old Olive mat, so the green would peek through, and then to my card base.

I am linking this up over at The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.

and to AAA Birthday - Flowers

Be sure to check out all the great cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday and I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls - Inlay Die Cuts

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for Just Us Girls - Inlay Die Cuts challenge.
I just got this Poppy Stamps Susanna Blossom die and thought it would be perfect to use for this challenge.  I die cut it once out of the white panel and then embossed the panel with the SU Tufted EF (love this EF).  I die cut an extra flower and colored it with alcohol markers and then glued the two layers together and placed them back in the cut out.  You can see that it is raised a little.  I even saved the small white cut out piece at the bottom of the big leaves and glued it in place.  The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Stippled Flowers.  I added a pearl to the flower center and 3 small pearls on the background for a little bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a blessed day.
