Seize the Birthday - Faces

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and the "Toppings" option chosen by Shirley is Faces - Human or Animal.

I got this stamp set, Cow Party, from Whimsy Stamps to make cards for friends at church that have cows.  I love the cute images and sentiments.  I stamped two of the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with SU Blends.  I cut them out and added a black mat.  The pattern paper is from my stash, not sure where it is from.  The sentiment is from the same set.  After die cutting the sentiments, I mounted the images and sentiments with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you join in our fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Bunny

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.  I used the middle row across: die-cut, spring, birthday
The Whimsey Stamps Bunny With Daffodil is a sign of spring.  I stamped and colored him with Promarkers.  I put a pale gray shading around the bunny outline but it is hard to see.  I sponged the clouds and grass and then die cut him with a die from SU Nature's Thoughts.  I also die-cut the birthday sentiment with an MFT Stitched Banner die.  The bunny panel is mounted with foam tape. The dotted green paper is from a Simple Stories pad.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Blessings to all.

Happy 1st Birthday

Happy Valentine's Day and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time it is "Anything Goes" as long as it is for a birthday.

My card is for a sweet little one at church who happens to be turning 1 year old today, Valentine's Day.  The cute little face on this Whimsey Stamps digital image (Fistful of Flowers) reminds me of her.  I colored her pants with SU Balmy Blue lt. & dark Blends and the rest with Copics.  I added some clouds with a Taylored Expressions Cloud Border die and lt. blue ink.  The pink pattern paper is from DCWV Basics & Brights 8x8 pad.  The SU Balmy Blue scallop mat is cut with MFT Blueprints 20 die.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates at Seize the Birthday and hope to see your cards in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your comments are greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - One Layer

Hi Friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Seize the Birthday and this time the "Toppings" option is to make a one layer card.  Of course the only requirement, as always, is that it has to be a birthday project.
For my card I used this cute bunny by Whimsey Stamps called Flower Bouquet Bunny.   I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Promarkers.  The grass is stamped with a really old CTMH stamp called Hillside Grass.   I sponged light blue ink around the image.  The sentiment is from a set by Gina K. Designs called Birthday Greetings.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the design team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Christmas

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is "Anything Goes" for Christmas.

For my card I used this cute image called "Berry" by Whimsey Stamps.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  The mat and card base are MFT Electric Red CS.  The DSP is from Recollections Cranberry Christmas 12x12 pad.  The sentiment from SU More Merry Messages is embossed with white embossing powder.  I added a mixture of Flower Soft and Fun Flock to her ear muffs and the cuffs of her boots.  The colors are darker and look a lot better in real life.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
