Merry Christmas for Christmas Card Challenges

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mothers.

Good Morning friends.  We have a color challenge for you today over at Christmas Card Challenges.  You can check out all the details here.

For my card I used SU Old Olive and Whisper White CS.  The white panel is embossed with an older Sizzix EF.  The "Large Poinsettia" #7032H by Sweet Stamps is stamped on vellum and just the leaves and center are colored with markers, on the reverse side.  I used  Art Glitter Glue by Art Institute to adhere it to my card and it doesn't show up under the vellum.  The sentiment is from SU Greetings of the Season (retired) stamped in Old Olive ink.

Now you should check out all the fabulous creations by the design team over at Christmas Card Challenges, you won't be disappointed.  I hope you will join us this week.

Joyous Noel

Happy Sunday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a photo challenge for you.

I was inspired by the red in the photo to make my card.  The DSP is from an older Studio Calico Wonderland 6x6 pad.  The border was on the edge of the paper and I cut it off, matted it and placed it across the middle.  The sentiment and image is from Verve Joyous Noel stamped in MFT Electric Red.  I punched the snetiment out with an oval punch and fussy cut the black mat.  The poinsettia image is layered with foam tape between the layers.  Both the image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

The designers have made some wonderful cards to inspire you.  Check them out over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Season's Greetings for Merry Monday

This is my second post today, please scroll down for my Christmas Card Challenges post.

This week's Merry Monday challenge was to use purple, silver and white on your Christmas card.  I was able to get my card done at the last minute so I am linking it up.
The card base and white panel are Coredinations Heavy White Card.  I used silver foil paper from Hobby Lobby and purple glitter paper from DCWV Glitzy Brights pad.  The silver scallop panel is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  Seasons Greetings is a Poppy Stamps die and the ornament is cut with SU Delicate Ornaments Thinlets die, mounted with foam tape.  The bow is a Memory Box die.  I don't remember the name of the embossing folder, it is an older one.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

For my card I used my new (to me) Reverse Confetti wreath die cut in SU Garden Green.  I mounted it to a panel embossed with SU Boho Chic EF, and added some red pearls and a bow made with SU 1/8" Real Red ribbon.  The sentiment is from MFT Christmas Ornaments set (retired) stamped in Real Red ink and the banner is from SU Bloomin' Love.  The card base is also Garden Green.

Tidings of Comfort & Joy

Good Morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a color challenge for you.

My card was quick and easy.  I was browsing through my Christmas papers and found this one in a Recollections Cranberry Christmas Stack.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Word Play (retired) in MFT Electric Red ink and went over the word Joy with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen - you can barely see it in the photo.  I used Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle dies to cut out the sentiment and black mat.  The tan mat is part of the DSP.  I mounted the sentiment with foam tape.  See, I told you it was quick and easy.  I don't make too many of these.

I am also entering this in Curtain Call's Keep It Simple challenge.

You should check out all the great creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will play along with us.

You're On The Nice List

Good Morning friends.  I have a card for our new Christmas Card Challenges.  This week we have a photo challenge for you.

I was inspired by the kraft colored packages with red ribbons so I chose this cute Santa from MFT Jingle All the Way.  I colored the packages to match the photo and fussy cut the Santa and packages, then mounted them with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same set and cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.   The white panel is embossed with Tim Holtz Distressed Brick Wall EF.  I used SU Real Red and Crumb Cake CS and the card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card (110#).  I buy mine at JoAnn's when it is on sale. :)

Happy Christmas

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is "Anything Goes" for Christmas.

For my card I used this cute image called "Berry" by Whimsey Stamps.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  The mat and card base are MFT Electric Red CS.  The DSP is from Recollections Cranberry Christmas 12x12 pad.  The sentiment from SU More Merry Messages is embossed with white embossing powder.  I added a mixture of Flower Soft and Fun Flock to her ear muffs and the cuffs of her boots.  The colors are darker and look a lot better in real life.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Mount Calvary Crosses Still - SD & HD included!

It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and we have a color challenge this week.

The colors on my card appear lighter in the photo than they really are.  I used SU Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke.  The poinsettia is from SU Joyful Christmas embossed in white.  I fussy cut it out and added pearls to the center.  The white panel is embossed with an older Cuttlebug EF called Candy Cane Stripes.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames.

Peace on Earth for Christmas Card Challenges

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a photo challenge for you.

For my card I embossed the SU Crumb Cake layer with Darice Snowflake Background EF, and then swiped my Whisper White Craft Ink pad over it to highlight the snowflakes.  I matted it on a Soft Suede mat cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20. I die cut 3 layers each with the Maryanne Snowflake from Simon Says Stamp, and layered them for more dimension and sturdiness.  The sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames is stamped in Soft Suede ink and punched with the SU Window Punch.

Now hop over to Christmas Card Challenges and check out all the great cards by the designers.  I hope you will play along with us this week.

Merry Christmas

Good morning friends.  It is Sunday and time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week it is anything goes for Christmas.

I used DSP from American Crafts Wish List 6x6 pad which matches my image quite well.  It is a digital image that I have had (colored with Copics) for quite some time and don't remember where I got it from.  I copied the image and made a stencil for the part of candle wax that was dripping, then I applied modeling paste for some texture.  It actually looks like dripping wax in real life.  I also used my Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some shine to the flower and candle flame.  The image was die cut with MFT Rounded Banner Stax, and then I sponged SU Crumb Cake ink around the edges.  The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes (an older retired set) and punched with the SU Window punch.

You can see the sparkle better in this photo.

Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas

Good morning friends.  This week we have a color challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges.  They are very pretty colors, but not the traditional Christmas colors.

For my card I used DSP from My Mind's Eye Merry Little Christmas 6x6 pad.  The sentiment from MFT Grand Holiday Greetings was stamped in Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder. The corners were rounded with my SU Corner Rounder punch.  I used silver glitter paper for the mats.  The snowflakes are by The Paper Studio, they have silver glitter on them also.

Merry Christmas

Good Sunday morning my friends.  This week we have a photo challenge for you over at Christmas Card challenges.

I used this sweet family image from SU Welcome Christmas (retired) and stamped it in SU Blackberry Bliss.  The sentiment from SU Christmas Lodge (retired) is also stamped in Blackberry Bliss.  I cut them with Lil' Inkers Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.  For the sentiment I cut it half way and then reinserted it in the die and cut the other side.  It worked out perfectly to match the main panel.  The DSP is from SU Moonlight Paper Stack (retired).  The mats and card base are Blackberry Bliss CS.

Christmas Cheer

I have been sick with Bronchitis all week, but was able to get my card done for the new Christmas Card Challenge this week, which is Anything Goes as long as it is for Christmas.

I made my card using this week's MFT Sketch 268.
I used the MFT ALM You Shine image (discontinued) stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card.  I colored her with Copics and Promarkers, and cut her out with a Lil' Inkers Rounded Stitched Rectangle die.  I went over the lights, and the star in her hair, with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen for a little shine.  The inmage panel is mounted with foam tape.  The DSP is from My Mind's Eye Merry Little Christmas 6x6 pad.  The mats are Recollections Black CS and the card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.  The black strip is cut with MFT Dainty Lace Border die (sorry, it has been discontinued also).  The sentiment is from MFT Gift Tag Greetings, stamped in MFT Electric Red ink.

You can see the glitter on the lights a little better in this photo (it was hard to photograph).

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenge and this week we have a color challenge for you.

I used this cute Snow Girl by Stampendous and colored her with Copics and then fussy cut her out.  I mounted her with foam tape on a SU Smokey Slate panel embossed with an A2 Wnowflake EF by The Paper Studio.  I ran my white ink pad over the raised snowflakes to highlight them.  I tore a piece of white CS and added it across the bottom for a snowbank.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season in SU Basic Gray ink.  The mat is SU Pink Piroutte and the card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Good morning friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a Photo Challenge for you.

Christmas Card Challenges #9

Good morning friends.  This week we have a new challenge for you at Christmas Card Challenges, and it is anything goes as long as it is for Christmas.

My card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card, 110 #, and the black mats are Recollections CS.  The DSP is from Teresa Collins Candy Cane Land 6x6 pad.  The stripe paper is the reverse of the green paper.  I thought the design went well with the trees in the image, which is by Hampton Arts.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Promarkers, and fussy cut it.  The sentiment on the banner is small but I think you can make it out, it says "have a cozy little".

Now check out the rest of the design team's creations over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Toasty Greetings

Good Morning friends.  We have a new challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is a color challenge.

I used this cute snowman set from MFT Toasty Greetings.  I stamped the snowman and paper-pieced his coat and hat with some scraps on my desk.  I colored his scarf with Copics and fussy cut him out.  I added a mixture of Flower Soft and Fun Flock to his coat and hat trim.  I colored the fire with Copics and fussy cut it also.  The greeting is from the same set and I cut the banner ends and mounted it with foam tape.  I stamped the MFT Snowfall Background on Sno Cone CS and embossed with white embossing powder.  I tore a scrap piece of white for the snow at the bottom and mounted the snowman and fire with foam tape.  The DSP is from MFT Homespun Gingham paper pack.  The card base and mats are Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Merry Christmas for Christmas Card Challenges

Good morning friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is a photo challenge.

For my card I used Coredinations Heavy White Card and Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  The ornaments from SU Ornament Keepsakes and sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season were stamped in Versamark and gold embossed.  I fussy cut the ornaments (even though I have the matching dies), mounted them with foam tape and added some SU gold ribbon.  The panel is embossed with SU Brick Wall EF.  A fairly simple card, but it turned out beautifully, in my opinion.

Happy Holidays

Good Morning friends and Happy New Year to you all.  We have a color challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges.

I used Mojo Monday sketch #428 for my card.

The DSP is Echo Park Reflections Christmas.  The tan snowflake is the reverse side of the stripes. The mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the card base is SU Crumb Cake.  I stamped the candle image and sentiment from Verve's Light My World.  I used my water brush pen and Riding Hood Red ink to color the poinsettias and Promarkers on the flames and edges of the candles.  I cut the flag with an MFT die from Blueprints 24 and then angled the top corners. The circles are cut with MFT Circle Stax 1 and 2.  I did some paper piercing around the edges and sponged them lightly with SU Crumb Cake ink.  I mounted the tag and circle with foam tape.  The gold ribbon is from my stash.

Hop over to Christmas Card Challenges and see what fabulous creations the team has to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and a Happy New Year.
