Just Us Girls - Stripes

I made two cards and am sharing the one with stripes over at the Just Us Girls Challenge - Stripes.

I made these cards for two sweet boys at church.  They are best friends and their birthdays are on the same day. They love going fishing with their dads.  I colored the hair blonde on one and dark on one so it would favor the boys.  They loved the cards, and so did their moms. :)
The image is Fishing Friends Kiddo by Stampendous (it is an older stamp from 2013).  I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I also added clouds in the background with Bashful Blue ink and MFT Mini Cloud Border Stencil.  I then die cut with MFT Stitched Rectangle die, added a black mat and mounted it with foam tape.  The blue stripe paper is from my stash and the blue plaid paper is from Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Chill 6x6 pad. They were perfect for the colors I used in the images.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Travel

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of Travel.  Remember it is an option and our challenge is always "anything goes" as long as it is for a birthday.

I die cut a panel with MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle die and then sponged blue ink for the sky and green ink for the grass.  All the images and sentiment are from MFT Up In The Air.  This is such a cute set and this is my first time using it.  I stamped them with Memento Black Tuxedo Ink and colored them with Promarkers.  I fussy cut them and added them to the panel with foam tape.  I made a little path to the house with darker green ink.  I glued this panel to my card base and it was done.

Be sure to check out all the designer's cards at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

CAS Mix Up September Challenge

This is my second post today as I made a card for the CAS Mix Up September Challenge - Ink your stamp with markers.

Die cutting is my choice so I die cut the Reverse Confetti Stitched Square die and then stamped the image from SU Serene Silhouettes after coloring it with SU Chocolate Chip and Real Red markers.  I had a little boo-boo on the bottom two red birds as I got brown on them but it still looks o.k, in my opinion. :)
I placed the die cut back in the die and sponged some Bashful Blue ink around the edges and then matted it with a thin mat of Chocolate CS.  I mounted this on my card base with foam tape and then stamped the sentiment, which is an older SU stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls Color Week

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  I have a card to share that I made for the Just Us Girls Color Week challenge.
I used SU Tranquil Tulips (retired) stamped in Grapefruit Grove ink.  The bottom layer is stamped off once for a lighter effect and the top layer is stamped full strength.  The stamens are stamped in Smokey Slate ink.  I fussy cut them and mounted them with foam tape.  I chose green as "my choice" and stamped the stems and leaves in Pear Pizzazz on a die cut by Papertrey Ink.  The Concord &9th Plaid Background is stamped in Smokey Slate ink.  I didn't add a sentiment so it can be used for any occasion.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Wedding Card - Congratulations

Hello friends.  This is the second wedding card requested by my friend for her granddaughter's wedding.  She had two granddaughters getting married within two weeks of each other. I did this one like their invitation also, with the flower border on top and bottom with the names and date in the middle.  I blurred out the names which I created on the computer.
The flowers are stamped with Simon Says Stamp Beautiful flowers and colored with Copics to match the flowers on the invitation.  I am pleased with the final result and I think she will be also.

I am linking this up at the Flower Challenge - Anything goes.  You know I love making floral cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  I appreciate it when you leave comments.
Have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls - Hand Drawn Elements

Hello Friends.  This is my second post today as I made a card for the Just Us Girls Challenge - Hand Drawn Elements.   They allowed stamped outline images that look hand drawn so I searched through my stamps and found this set.
http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/
I die cut an oval mat for a mask and then stamped this small flower from a really old SU set called Delight in Life all around the mask.  They have the hand drawn look.  I colored them with some pastel markers.  I also drew around the oval mat with my Zig pen.   The sentiment is Rubber Stampede Elegant Thinking of You.  I mounted this panel to a pastel pink card base as it will be going to a lady friend that needs some encouraging.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Die Cuts or Punches

Hello Friends and happy Thursday.  Our challenge at Seize the Birthday this week has the "Toppings" option of using die cuts or punches on your birthday project. Of course it is always anything goes - your choice.
I needed a masculine card for a friend at church so I used this Recollections die set with SU Tranquil Tide CS for the banner and leaves, and Smokey Slate for the mat.  I die cut the deer head from black and used black mats also.  The background panel is stamped in Smokey Slate ink with the MFT Wood Plank Background.   I stamped off once before stamping the white panel for a lighter look.  The center panel is mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment from Simon Says Stamp It's Your Birthday set.  I curved the stamp a little on the block before stamping in Versamark ink and embossing with white embossing powder.  The banner is an MFT die.

Be sure to check out all the designer's cards over at Seize the Birthday.  I am sure you will be inspired by all the creativity.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Another One for The Flower Challenge #24

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a friend and the second one I am linking up at The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.  I love making cards with flowers, my favorite kind to make.

I love this floral image from SU Blended Seasons set.  I only wish they would have had a die to cut the flowers out in the die set, so I didn't get the die set.  I colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Painted Glass on an angle to follow the angle of the flowers.  I used a negative die cut piece to trace the white panel and fussy cut it.  I inked around the edges with Blushing Bride ink to make it stand out a little and mounted it with foam tape.  I glued the flower image to the sentiment panel and added foam tape around the parts that stuck out.  The background paper is from Papertrey Ink and has a small black mat since the sentiment is stamped in black.  I added Wink of Stella to the flower centers and the buds but it doesn't show up in the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hello for The Flower Challenge #24

I made this card to send to a friend.  I am entering it at The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.
I used Papertrey Ink February Corner Adorner stamp and die set stamped with SU Real Red and Pear Pizzazz inks.  The yellow centers were colored with a Copic. They are mounted with foam tape.   I used Taylored Expressions Weathered EF for the background and a die from MFT Blueprints 20 for the red scallop mat.  I die cut the hello two times from SU Pear Pizzazz CS with the Poppystamps Little Luxe Hello die and layered it for dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Wedding card

I am sharing a wedding card a friend requested for her granddaughter who is getting married - she loved the card.  I used the invitation design for the design of the card.  The invitation was almost the same color and had kraft colored leaves hanging from the top with the names and information below.
I used SU Pool Party CS and MFT Natural CS with the Taylored Expressions Leafy Vine Cutting Plate.  The bell and sentiment are from SU Blended Seasons set.  I added a little color to the bell & bow with Promarkers.  I printed the names on the computer and die cut them with a Spellbinders heart die.  The bell, heart and sentiment panel are mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

CAS Christmas - Wreath

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the September CAS Christmas - Wreath challenge.  I am getting better at doing the CAS cards.

I was looking through my stamps for wreath images and found this older stamp set by Loralie Designs, Christmas 1.  I think I got it at a craft show several years ago.  This is the first time I have inked it up but love the pretty wreath.  I colored it with Copics and then die cut it with Lil' Inker Designs Side Stitched Rectangles die.  I added Wink of Stella to the berries, but it doesn't show up in the photo.  I then mounted the panel with foam tape to the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Celebrate for Just Us Girls Challenge

I got my card made just in time before the Just Us Girls challenge closed.  It is Word Week and the word is Celebrate.

For my card I looked through my stamps and found this older set from SU Endless Birthday Wishes and it had all these sayings and the cake image.  I stamped the sentiments and die cut them with MFT Fishtail Flags dies.  I stamped the cake and did some light coloring with Promarkers, then die cut it with an older  SU Framelits die.  I fussy cut the black mat to make it stand out against the pretty pattern paper from Recollections Butterfly Blooms 6x6 pad.  I mounted this panel with foam tape and the banners are also mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  I really appreciate it when you take time to leave a comment.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thinking of You

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a friend in the hospital.
I used Altenew Painted Flowers stamped in SU Marina Mist.  I stamped the base layer by stamping off once for a lighter blue, and then the filler is stamped full strength.  I colored the leaves with Copics instead of stamping them and die cut them with the matching dies.  The top flowers are mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is an older SU stamp and die cut with MFT Pierced Oval.  The mat is MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Oval die cut from Marina Mist CS.  The white panel is stamped with MFT  Wood Plank background with SU Smokey Slate ink stamped off once for a lighter look.  I matted this with Marina Mist CS and glued it to the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend.
