Seize the Birthday - Kraft and Another Color

Hello friends.  It is time for another challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen would like us to use Kraft and Another Color.

I used Concord & 9th Festive Corner Cuts for the white panel and placed a panel of Crumb Cake under it.  I stamped the flower from Altenew/Pinkfresh Studio  Celebrate Us stamp set and colored it with SU Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake (kraft) Blends.  I mounted the flower with foam tape.  Poppystamps Vintage Happy Birthday is cut from Crumb Cake twice and layered for dimension, then glued in place.  I added the 5 small lt. pink pearls for an touch of bling.

Be sure to check out all the cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I am sure you will be inspired.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Happy Birthday for The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I made it with The Paper Players color challenge in mind - Black & White with a pop of color.

I embossed a white panel with SSS Blossom Field and added a black mat, then mounted to the card base.  For the black frame I used Altenew Fine Frames Rectangles Die.  I stamped the sentiment from a retired SU set and then mounted the smaller white panel under the frame before adding it to the embossed panel.  For my pop of color I added 2 red flowers.  I stamped the flowers with SU Two-Toned Flora set in Real Red for the detail and Poppy Parade for full layer.  I colored the stamens with my black pen.  I glued the green leaves under the edges of the flowers and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Embossing

Hello friends.  It is time for Seize the Birthday's first challenge of 2024 and Cathy wants us to use embossing (wet or dry) on our cards.

This is what I came up with.  I used 3 different Spellbinders die sets for the flower spray: Club Blooms for the large flower & large leaves, Build A Wreath for the smaller flowers and Garden Wreath Add-Ons for the leaf sprays. The flowers were cut from SU Powder Pink card and the leaves from Soft Sea Foam.  The sentiment is an older Verve set which I die cut with a SU stitched oval die and mounted with foam tape.  The flowers are shaped with my stylus and glued on and then the leaves glued under the petals.  The background white panel was embossed with Spellbinders Diamond Plaid EF and glued to a panel of Powder Pink and then to the white card base.

Last Anniversary Card for January

Hello friends.  I am sharing the last anniversary card I made for a couple in church. I always try to make anniversary cards & birthday cards for my church family, along with my own family & friends.

I was looking through my stash of papers and loved this paper pad from Hobby Lobby (The Paper Studio) called Dried Floral.  The prints are so delicate and pretty so I chose 3 to make panels for my card.  I thought they matched SU Soft Succulent (ret.) really well so went with that.  I stamped the sentiment (sorry, I got it a little crooked) from a retired SU set in Soft Succulent on a Spellbinders Floral Oval white die cut.  The flowers are cut from a lt. pink using Spellbinders Build-A-Wreath die set.  The leaves from Spellbinders Club Blooms was cut from Soft Succulent and snipped to fit around the flowers.  I mounted the Floral Oval with foam tape and glued the flowers and leaves on.

I will link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms & Butterflies.

Happy Birthday for Great-Granddaughter

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for my great-granddaughter who turns 15 this week.

She is always in jeans or shorts and a t-shirt so thought this image from MFT (Purfect Birthday) was perfect for her.  I added the balloon and #15 stickers.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics.  I blended lt. green ink and lt. blue ink for the background and then matted with a small black mat.  The blue stripe paper is from my stash and worked perfectly.  I also added a black mat to it and then mounted it to the card base.  The sentiment is from an older SU set and I fussy cut around it and glued it on.  I hope she likes it and I think she will.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

One More Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  One more anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for another young couple at church.

I used another new die for the white lacy panel.  The die was a gift from a friend.  I used 2 shades of peach card for the pretty blooms cut with Spellbinders Club Bloom Dies. I arranged the blooms across the top and added one of the smaller blooms on the bottom.  The leaves were cut from SU Granny Apple Green and glued under the edges of the blooms.  The background coral paper is from a new SU paper pack called Softly Stippled.  I punched a 2" circle for the center cut out section and stamped the sentiment from an older Verve set.  I added small rhinestones to the centers of the blooms and 3 beneath the sentiment.  I was pleased with the final card and hope the recipients like it as much as I do.

I will share at Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used the lacy die.

Another Anniversary Card

Hello Friends and Happy New Year to you all.

I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for a sweet couple at church.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Runner Ups at Color Hues.

For this card I stamped the background in SU Boho Blue using Taylored Expressions Playful Plaid Background stamp (love this stamp), and glued the panel to my white card base.  The center white panel was cut using SU Radiating Stiches dies.  The flowers from SU Two Tone Floral were stamped in Misty Moonlight for the details and Boho Blue for the top layer.  For the darker flower I used the blue full strength and the lighter ones was stamped off once.  I added a touch of yellow to the flower stamens. The leaves were stamped in Gumball Green (ret.)  The white panel was mounted with foam tape and the flowers and leaves were glued on.  I did put pieces of foam tape under the edges of the flowers that were off the white panel.  The sentiment is an older Verve stamp.

I am linking to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used my new Taylored Expressions stamp.

I will also link to the Color Hues Challenge and hope the green leaves are o.k.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day and a crafty New Year.
