Green & White Birthday for 3 (or 4) Challenges

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.

I used my new Pinkfresh Studios Dashing Daisies Press Plate with white ink on the Granny Apple Green panel and think it turned out so pretty.  I did several colors but wanted to use this one for Color Hues.
The big white flower and leaves are made with Sizzix Corsage die (retired). I cut the flower center from Granny Apple Green card and added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) for some bling.  The sentiment is from SU Labeled With Love and cut with a stitched oval die,  I mounted the oval with foam tape.

I am sharing at the Color Hues Challenge - Green & White.

and to the Double D Challenge - Going Green

I will also link this one to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have use the press plate and the dies.

Thanks Lisa, I will add this to the JUGS challenge - dies - birthday

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Add a Heart

Hello friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  I am the hostess this time and since it is the day before Valentine's Day, I thought "Add a Heart to your card" was the perfect topping.  Of course, if your not into our "Topping" it can be our usual "Anything Goes" birthday.

After looking through my many heart dies and stamp sets, I finally settled on this one from Poppystamps - Floral Lace Heart Split Border die.  I have had it for quite some time but this is the first time I have used it and I really like the results.  After die cutting it from white card stock, I embossed it with SU Subtle EF (ret.) and then mounted it to a Pretty in Pink card base.  I found these cute flower dies (Spellbinders Petite Floral Potpourri) that are similar to the ones in the heart so I die cut two of them from the Pretty in Pink and mounted them on the edge of the heart, adding 3 die cut leaves from the same set.  I added a rhinestone to the centers for a little bling.  The sentiment is from a SU set, as is the die used to cut it.  I put it back in the die to shorten it some and then mounted it with foam tape.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using the heart border die.

and to the Double D Challenge - Hearts theme

Now check out all the great cards by the team and our party guests over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Best Day Because It's Your Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a young one at church.  Her birthday is on Valentine's Day so I thought my new Sunny Studio Bighearted Bears with their heart balloons would be perfect for her card.

I stamped 3 of the bears with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with SU Blends - Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo and Bubble Bath for the balloons & roses.  I used Lt. Basic Black & Smokey Slate for the bears.  I blended Balmy Blue ink over Taylored Expressions Cloud Border Die for the sky area; Pear Pizzazz for the grassy area and a little Crumb Cake for the walking path.  I also stamped some grass sprigs along the grassy border.  After die cutting the images, I mounted the bears & balloons with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment from an older SU set in the sky area.  I mounted this panel to a Poppy Parade panel cut with a Crimped Frame Die by The Greetery, then to the white card base.

I will link to the Double D Challenge since they are featuring hearts.

and to Darnell's NBUS (first time using the new stamp & die set)

Last Anniversary Card for January

Hello friends.  I am sharing the last anniversary card I made for a couple in church. I always try to make anniversary cards & birthday cards for my church family, along with my own family & friends.

I was looking through my stash of papers and loved this paper pad from Hobby Lobby (The Paper Studio) called Dried Floral.  The prints are so delicate and pretty so I chose 3 to make panels for my card.  I thought they matched SU Soft Succulent (ret.) really well so went with that.  I stamped the sentiment (sorry, I got it a little crooked) from a retired SU set in Soft Succulent on a Spellbinders Floral Oval white die cut.  The flowers are cut from a lt. pink using Spellbinders Build-A-Wreath die set.  The leaves from Spellbinders Club Blooms was cut from Soft Succulent and snipped to fit around the flowers.  I mounted the Floral Oval with foam tape and glued the flowers and leaves on.

I will link to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms & Butterflies.

One More Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  One more anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for another young couple at church.

I used another new die for the white lacy panel.  The die was a gift from a friend.  I used 2 shades of peach card for the pretty blooms cut with Spellbinders Club Bloom Dies. I arranged the blooms across the top and added one of the smaller blooms on the bottom.  The leaves were cut from SU Granny Apple Green and glued under the edges of the blooms.  The background coral paper is from a new SU paper pack called Softly Stippled.  I punched a 2" circle for the center cut out section and stamped the sentiment from an older Verve set.  I added small rhinestones to the centers of the blooms and 3 beneath the sentiment.  I was pleased with the final card and hope the recipients like it as much as I do.

I will share at Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used the lacy die.

Brightest Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a pretty birthday card in yellow to share.  When I saw the challenges at Tic Tac Toe and also at Dobule D which both have yellow in them, I had to make a card.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Top 3 at Double D Challenge.

Top 3 Badge

I had the background die cut (Spellbinders Candy Stripes die) in my unused stack and thought it would look good over the lt. yellow card.   It is cut twice and the bottom layer is reversed and glued together  for the crossed look.  I mounted this to a white card base.  The flowers from Honey Bee Spring Peony were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut them with the matching dies and arranged the flowers at the bottom right corner of my card with foam tape.  I glued the leaves under the edges of the large flower.  The sentiment is from SU Cheerful Daisies as I thought it went well with the cheerful yellows.  This will go to a very good friend whose favorite color is yellow.
