Joyful Christmas Wishes

I made this card for the JUGS #321 Color Challenge. I used pink for my card.
I used Spellbinders Poinsettia die for my Pretty In Pink poinsettia and added some Martha Stewart white fern punches, and pearls to the center.  I went over the veins of the flower with my gel clear glitter pen. The sentiment is from SU Joyful Christmas stamped in Versamark and silver embossing powder, on Spellbinders Floral Ovals die.  I mounted the sentiment panel and poinsettia with foam tape.  The ribbon is some older Christmas ribbon from Michaels.  The DSP is from Making Memories Sabrina 6x6 pad (I had in my stash for several years).  The pink mat is cut with a die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 20.  The card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas for 3 challenges

My card base is SU Whisper White and the mat and cross piece are Riding Hood Red.  The turquoise DSP is from an old SU paper pack.  I used Spellbinder's Poinsettia dies (sold at Classy Cards 'N Such) and cut it from Riding Hood Red, inked the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink and shaped the petals.  The center is cut from gold cs and I mounted the flower with foam tape.  The gold ribbon is by Offray.  The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages.

Here is a photo of the inside which shows a sentiment from Our Daily Breads Christmas Blessings set.  I added a little strip of DSP and red cs to match the front.

ETA:  My card was a runner up at Freshly Made Sketches.
I used Freshly Made Sketches #163 for my layout (I turned the sketch).

Just Us Girls #267 - color challenge (red, turquoise and gold or yellow)

ETA:  I was a winner at Classy Cards 'N Such.
and Classy Cards 'N Such #59 - Christmas Blooms challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Christmas gift set for CSAYL

Happy Friday my friends.  This week's challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long is to make a gift set.  No sponsor this week.  The winner will be a guest designer in October.

Here is my little gift box and matching Christmas card.
The box and card base are SU Crumb Cake. The mats are SU Real Red, the banners are Old Olive and Very Vanilla. The DSP is from SU Holly Berry Bouquet (retired).   The poinsettias are made from Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia with Real Red and Old Olive CS.  I added yellow rhinestones to the centers. The sentiments are from SU More Merry Messages.  The Very Vanilla layer is embossed with The Paper Studio Holly Leaves EF.
Here are close-up photos of the card and gift box.  I used the negative border cut from the gift box to separate the layers on my card.

Unfortunately I didn't have any goodies to put in the box, but it still turned out cute and will be perfect for a special little gift.  I colored the sentiment with Old Olive and Real Red markers before stamping it.  The flags are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers die-namics.

Don't miss all the great projects by the other designers over on Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  Hope you will be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Merry Monday #109 - Use flowers

Good morning everyone.  I finally had time to make a card for Merry Monday #109 Bonnie's challenge - to use flower(s) on your Christmas project.  I love using flowers on my projects so this was perfect for me.  I knew I wanted to use the Spellbinder's Poinsettia die, it makes such a pretty flower.

I used SU Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke CS and added some gold pearls to the center.  The base and sentiment panel are SU Naturals White and the DSP is from Christmas Cocoa (retired), and matted it with Choc. Chip CS. The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages stamped in Choc. Chip ink.  I added paper-piercing to the edges.  The poinsettia is mounted with foam dimensionals.
The layout is based on the Freshly Made Sketches #137

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Merry Monday #101 Guest Designer

Happy Monday morning my friends.  Today I am excited to be a Guest Designer over at the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  The challenge is to use only Gray, Red and White on your Christmas card.
Here is my card:

I used MFT Smooth White and Electric Red, SU Basic Gray & Smokey Slate cardstocks.  I stamped MFT's Wood Plank Background on the Smokey Slate with Basic Gray ink, matted it with the Electric Red and Basic Gray.  I used the new SU Scallop Tag punch to make my tag, rounded the bottom 2 corners and inked around the edges with red ink.  The sentiment from SU More Merry Messages is stamped in Basic Gray ink.  I made the flower with Spellbinders Poinsettia dies, added some pearls to the center and mounted it to the tag with dimensionals.  I added some ribbon from Flourishes to the tag and mounted it with dimensionals also.

Head on over to the Merry Monday Challenge blog and check out all the fabulous cards by the Design Team.  I hope you play along.  You could be a winner and Guest Designer also.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Joy for Freshly Made Sketches 110

I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches 110 and made a Christmas card using the sketch.  When I first saw the sketch, I thought of the word Noel, but then with the decorative element in the 4th place, I decided to go with Joy.  It fits perfect along with the poinsettia made with the Spellbinders dies.  I added yellow rhinestones to the center.  I typed "to the World" on my computer and cut it out with MFT's Fishtail Flags Layers Stax dies and added it under the poinsettia.  I slanted it so it wouldn't cover up my "y"  I used SU Lovely Letters Alphabet to stamp the letters in Real Red ink, then punched them with a 1" square and matted them in Garden Green with the SU Scallop Square punch.  The squares and poinsettia are mounted using foam tape.  The DSP is from a retired SU Christmas pack and the mat is Real Red CS.  The card base is Whisper White CS.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I appreciate your comments.

Merry Monday #45 - Merry Christmas

Here is my card for this week's Merry Monday #45 sketch challenge.  The challenge is to make a Christmas Card each week.  I missed last week's color challenge but hope to do the challenge each week to have a good supply of Christmas cards done before Christmas this year.  My friend came over today and we made these cards and a Valentine card. Such fun to get together and stamp and play with new goodies.

My card base is SU Always Artichoke, as well as the mats.  The paper is from DCWV Heirloom Christmas Stack.  It has some beautiful papers in it.  The leaves and poinsettias are shiny, but it doesn't show up in the photo.  I used the Spellbinders poinsetia die with SU Cherry Cobbler CS and mounted it on a SU Verry Vanilla Circle and Always Artichoke scallop circle cut with Spellbinders dies.   I added Studio G Rhinestones to the cneter and the whole panel is mounted with foam tape to the base.  The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla banner and matted with Always Artichoke.  The red button is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.  Comments are greatly appreciated.
