Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Friday everyone.  It is time for a new challenge over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and this time it is "anything goes" as long as it is Christmas.
Grab Our Badge!
My card base and mats are SU Bashful Blue.  The white panel is cut with MFT Snowflake Fusion Cover-Up die.  I added some thin foam tape strips under the edges and mounted it on another white panel for some dimension.  The sentiment is by Inspired By Stamping and cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 2.  The Magnolia Tilda image was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.  I paper-pieced her dress with some Bashful Blue DSP.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Oval die and sponged Bashful Blue ink around the edges before removing the die.  I added some sparkle to her wings with a Gelly Roll Clear Glitter pen, but it looks gray in the photo.

Now check out the great cards by my teammates over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and I hope you will be inspired to play along.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Merry Christmas for Christmas Stampin' All Year

Yea, it is Friday and time for a new challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  This week we do not have a sponsor, but the winner will get to be a Guest Designer in November.  The challenge is "anything goes" (as long as it is a Christmas project) and we have a past Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.

Happy Friday my friends.  It is time for another challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long  which is "Anything Goes" (Christmas of course) - use lots of snowflakes.  Our sponsor is Broken Box Stock, and the winner will recieve a $5 gift certificate to her shop.
Here is my card and I am using her Digi Sled Riding Toodle.
I printed the image twice and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  One image I cut out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and the mat with Scalloped Ovals.  I cut the second image out and mounted her over a torn snow hill for a little extra dimension.  I added some punched snowflakes with rhinestones in the centers.  The sentiment is from Verve's Holiday Treats, stamped in Riding Hood Red ink and cut with the oval dies.  The mats are all SU Riding Hood Red.  The DSP is from Lawn Fawn's Peace, Joy, Love 6x6 pad.  The card base is MFT Smooth White CS.  The image panel and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Merry Christmas

It's Friday and time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge which is to use non traditional colors.   This week our sponsor is DRS Designs and I am using their "Large Filigree Star" image.  Here is my card:
I printed the image on Silver CS, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape.  I made the star burst design with papers from an older Martha Stewart Christmas Mat Pad.  There are lots of tutorials for this technique, but to do it, you cut strips of paper 4" by 1-1/2", then cut from top right corner to bottom left corner lengthwise.  I used 4 different designs.  Adhere the strips to a cardstock base and then trim the ends off.  The mats are SU Basic Black and the card base and sentiment panel are Whisper White.  The sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season is stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.

I think the blue and silver, with the touch of black, made a pretty non-traditional card.  What do you think?

Now hop on over to Christmas Stampin All Year Long and check out the other fabulous cards by the designers.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

It's Friday and time for another challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  This week our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and we are to make a "non card project". The winner will get 7 digi images of their choice from Bugaboo Stamps.
I used the cute Deacon-Christmas Elf Presents image and printed him on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with Copics.   The sentiment is from MFT Christmas Ornaments set.  The DSP is from a DCWV Christmas Mat Stack.  The tag is made with SU Read Red CS and the Scallop Tag Punch.  I made it wider than the 2" slot and slid it up under the guide to punch the top and then rounded the corners.  I added some ribbon and a jute cord bow.

Now check out all the great creations by the Design Team members over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  I hope you will join us.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Hello friends.  It is Friday and time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge.  Our sponsor this week is Emma Canning and we are suppose to do one layer cards.  As you can see from my card I forgot it was supposed to be one layer and have several layers.  I love this sweet image by Emma called "Bauble Gown".

The digital image is printed on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut it out with MFT Vertical Greetings II die.  It was a little long, so I stuck it back in the die, overlapping one end and cut a little off.  I hand cut the Real Red mat.  The DSP is from Echo Park's Tis the Season 6x6 pad.  The mats are SU Basic Black and the card base is MFT Smooth White CS.  The sentiment is from MFT Christmas Ornaments and is cut out with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax die.  I trimmed the white layer down just a little so it would fit in the black layer.  The sentiment and image panel are mounted with foam dimensionals.

Check out the great cards over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and you will be inspired to play along.  Hope to see your creations there.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Christmas gift set for CSAYL

Happy Friday my friends.  This week's challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long is to make a gift set.  No sponsor this week.  The winner will be a guest designer in October.

Here is my little gift box and matching Christmas card.
The box and card base are SU Crumb Cake. The mats are SU Real Red, the banners are Old Olive and Very Vanilla. The DSP is from SU Holly Berry Bouquet (retired).   The poinsettias are made from Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia with Real Red and Old Olive CS.  I added yellow rhinestones to the centers. The sentiments are from SU More Merry Messages.  The Very Vanilla layer is embossed with The Paper Studio Holly Leaves EF.
Here are close-up photos of the card and gift box.  I used the negative border cut from the gift box to separate the layers on my card.

Unfortunately I didn't have any goodies to put in the box, but it still turned out cute and will be perfect for a special little gift.  I colored the sentiment with Old Olive and Real Red markers before stamping it.  The flags are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Flags Layers die-namics.

Don't miss all the great projects by the other designers over on Christmas Stampin' All Year Long.  Hope you will be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Christmas Stampin All Year Long -"One Layer"

Happy Friday my friends.  It is time for another challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long  which is to make a one layer card and our sponsor is Di's Digistamps.

Well I tried my hand at making a one layer card by printing the "Candy Star Ted" digi image from Di's Digistamps on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with Copics.  I them made a mask with Spellbinder's Circle dies and stamped an older gingham background stamp from CTMH in SU Wild Wasabi ink.  Then I used the reverse die cut and sponged some SU Light Blue ink around the edges and stamped some small snowflakes in Bashful Blue ink.  I added Polar White Flower Soft to the trim on his hat and coat.  I added glitter to the snow with a Sakura Clear Glitter pen but it doesn't show up well.  The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages.  Lastly I used masks to mark off the section for the faux ribbon and used my red Copic to color it.

Now you need to check out all the great creations by my fellow DT members over at Christmas Stampin All Year Long.  I hope you can play along with us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.
