Seize the Birthday - Black and White

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge for you over at Seize the Birthday and this time the "Toppings" option is to use black and white only.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it be a birthday project.
I stamped the floral image from SU Southern Serenade in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and had to resist coloring it, but I think it looks great with the b/w theme.  I also added some pearls to the flower centers.  The sentiment and banner die cut are from a Hero Arts set.  I fussy cut the black mat and then mounted it with foam tape.  The pattern papers are from First Edition Black Out 12x12 pad, and matted with black.

Remember to check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates and our party guest Julie,  over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

This is an anniversary card I made for a sweet couple at church.  I just found out they have been married for 67 years, although I didn't know it at the time I made the card or I could have added the numbers.
I used SU Petal Palette and the matching dies  for the flowers and colored them with alcohol markers.  The sentiment is a Stampabilities stamp from Hobby Lobby.  The opening was cut with MFT Inside and Out Stitched Ovals and I stamped the sentiment in the opening.  The frame was made with MFT Natural CS, the same die and a larger die from the same set.  The pink paper is from a Recollections pad and I added 3 glitter dots for a little bling.  I also added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Another Baby Card

I have another baby card to share today.  My daughter is going to a baby shower and asked me to make a card for her, of course I was happy to do it.
The papers are from Authentique 6x6 Cuddle Boy pad.  The image and sentiment are from Sugar Pea Designs Bundle of Joy.  I colored the image with Copics and fussy cut it out and mounted it with foam tape.  The sentiment is cut with an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die and mounted with foam tape.

I am linking this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Have a Heart.  The image does have a heart and who doesn't love new babies.  They fill our hearts with love.
Also linking to Sugar Pea Designs challenge. I have a little tan on the hat and different shades of blue, so I hope this qualfies.

Welcome Little One

Hello friends.  I have a baby card to share today.  This one is for the daughter of a friend at church.  I am also making a mini album and will share photos of it later,  It is not quite finished, but I will share the cover which matches the card.
The image is a digital image "Tex", from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I made it smaller for the card and larger for the mini album cover.  I colored both images with Copics and Promarkers.  The die cut sentiment is Welcome, Little One by Simon Says Stamp.  I like how it has the shadow die cut with it.  The papers are from my stash of baby papers. :)  I matted them with MFT Blue Breeze cardstock, which is a perfect match for the pattern papers.

Here is the cover of the mini album.  More photos to come.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your comments are always appreciated.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas - Silver and Blue

Good Morning friends.  I have a card I made for CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Blue and Silver. I love making Christmas cards all year long and this is one of my favorite color combos.

I used the SU Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits die and die cut the bottom layer from vellum that I swiped Baha Breeze blue ink over.  The detailed layer is cut from silver foil paper.  I also added some silver leaves from the set.  The white panel was die cut with an MFT Stitched Basic Edges die and the silver mat with MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges die.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Christmas set.  I added a strip of Baha Breeze pattern paper  to match the poinsettia.  I really love how this card turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Seize the Birthday

Happy Thursday friends and welcome to another Seize the Birthday Challenge.  This time we have the "Toppings" option of Stamping Only.  Remember it is only an option and the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.

For my card I chose the "Toppings" option of stamping only, although I did use a die cut opening on my main panel.  I stamped the panel in SU Smokey Slate using MFT Diagonal Stripes Background stamp.  I mounted the panel with foam tape on a Smokey Slate panel and stamped the sentiment from SU Southern Serenade in SU Basic Gray ink.  The Altenew Peony Bouquet flower was stamped in 3 shades on pink inks and the leaves from Altenew Beautiful Day were stamped in Smokey Slate and Basic Gray inks.  The flower was mounted with foam tape and the leaves were glued under the flower.

I am also linking my card to The Flower Challenge - pink and grey.

Be sure to check our all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to join us.  Can't wait to see your cards in our gallery.

Happy Birthday for Granddaughter

Hello friends.  I am sharing the card I made for my granddaughter who has a birthday today.
For my card I used Gina K Designs Stippled Flowers stamp & die set.  I colored the flowers with SU Pink Pirouette blends and the leaves with Copics.  I added Clear Wink of Stella glitter all over the flowers and then added Sticko Glitter dots in some of the scallops in the Reverse Confetti Cover Plate.  I punched a circle and stamped the sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly Inspirational Birthday set, then glued it behind the opening in the die cut.  This is mounted to the pink pattern paper and then to the card base.

I made a matching envelope so I am linking to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Card & Matching Envelope. I stamped the envelope flap with the same flowers and leaves in pink and green inks.  I masked the flower to stamp the leaves.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

JUGS #469 - Leftovers

Good morning friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the Just Us Girls challenge - leftovers.
I had this die cut panel (MFT Diagonal Sentiment Strip) and the poinsettias (SU Watercolor Winter-retired) left over from all my Christmas cards so I decided to use them for this challenge.  The background paper is from a Recollections Christmas pad and them sentiment is a Verve stamp.  I did stamp some leaves and die cut the with a Poppystamps Poinsettia set.  The flowers are mounted with foam tape.

Now, I am getting an early start on my Christmas cards for this year.

Happy Birthday for Inkspirational Challenge

I chose to copy this card from Lin on Sending Hugs blog.  I love her style and she has fabulous cards on her blog.

Here is my card.
I used similar colors, different papers, different butterflies, and a different sentiment.  The butterflies are from an older Hero Arts Sizzix stamp and die set.  I colored them with Promarkers and then die cut them.  I glued just the body down so the wings would stand out.  The sentiment is from SU Butterfly Basics.  The pattern paper is from Hobby Lobby.  I used SU Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  I added some blue glitter enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Mix Up - Bokeh

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the CAS Mix-Up Challenge - Bokeh.  I had never done this technique and wanted to give it a try.  I followed the links on CAS Mix-Up that showed the tutorials on doing the Bokeh technique.
I used Bokeh, Stamping, Die-cutting and Sequins.
I used several blue inks (my favorite color) and sponged them on Tim Holtz glossy card and then used white craft ink and a circle template for the Bokeh technique.  After it dried overnight, I cut a white panel with MFT Peek-a-Boo Circle Frame die and mounted this with foam tape over the Bokeh panel.  The flower image is from Catherine Pooler Grateful Heart set.  I colored with markers and die cut it with the matching dies.  I mounted this with foam tape also. The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly Inspirational Birthday.  Lastly, I added some sequins for a little bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
