An Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made it for some friends at church.

All supplies are by Stampin UP.  The colors or Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz.  I die cut the flowers with Pierced Blooms dies, the leaves with a Forever Flourishing die.  The pretty white doily is from Encircled in Beauty Dies, and the sentiment is from Many Mates stamp set.  The pattern papers are from You're a Peach DSP matted with Balmy Blue cardstock. I mounted the flowers with foam tape..

New Baby Mini Album

Hello friends.  Thanks for stopping by.  I just finished a baby album for an expectant mother at church and wanted to share it.  This is her first baby and they didn't want to find out the sex of the baby before it was born so I used neutral colors that could be for a boy or girl.  There are a lot of pictures so I hope you don't mind taking a look.  I used stamps and stickers from several different companies.  I also cut the title on the cover with my Cricut. The spine is covered with a white panel that I embossed with a heart design and used a scallop punch for the edges.

This is the cover and I made a frame with a pull out for a photo and added the cute giraffe sticker.

The inside front cover and page l with a flip out.

Page l with the flip out opened.

Pages 2 and 3 with corner pockets and photo mats.

Pages 3 and 4 with center belly bands and photo mats.

Pages 5 and 6 with bottom pockets and photo mats.

Pages 7 and 8 with flip outs.

Page 7 with flip out opened.

Page 8 with flip out opened.

Pages 9 and 10.  Page 9 is plain for a big photo or a couple of small photos.  Page 10 (inside back cover) has a waterfall to place several photos.

The waterfall opened up.

Finally the back cover.  I was pleased with the final album and I hope she will be also.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  I appreciate your comments.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Travel

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda has chosen "Travel" for our "Toppings" option this time.  Remember the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

I created a little scene with stamps from 3 different companies.  I used a cloud stencil and the cute houses from MFT, the trees from a SU set and the plane and banner from an older Close to My Heart set that I have had for several years.  First I sponged the clouds on with a light blue ink and then sponged the grass area on.  I stamped the trees with Garden Green ink.  I stamped and colored the cute houses,  fussy cut them, and added them with foam tape.  I also stamped, colored, and fussy cut the airplane and banner, then added them with foam tape after stamping the greeting from a SU set.

I hope you check out all the fabulous cards with different travel themes by the team and our party guest, Melanie over at Seize the Birthday. Hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Floral Card

Hello friends.  I have another card with flowers that I am sharing today.  I made this one for The Flower Challenge - Add Spots or Stripes.

I used my new Spellbinder's July Stamp of the Month -Sending Floral Wishes to stamp the pretty floral spray.  I colored the image with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I did add yellow to the center of the flowers.  I fussy cut the image and mounted it with foam tape to a white panel embossed with QuicKutz Polka Dots EF (retired).  I die cut a stitched oval and stamped the greeting from SU Magnolia Blooms (retired) in Wild Wasabi ink.  I mounted the oval with foam tape also and the panel was adhered to the white card base.

CAS Christmas Challenge - Poinsettia

Hello friends.  I have a pretty poinsettia card to share today.  I made this card for the July CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Poinsettia.

Yea, My card was one of the Top Picks at CAS Christmas Card Challenge

I used Stamp Simply Floral Cluster - Winter Poinsettia and the matching die to stamp the flower and colored it with Copics.  I used an MFT Diagonal Sentiment Strip die cut (stripes) and mounted it on a white card base and then added the pretty poinsettia with foam tape.  The sentiment is from a SU Christmas set.

Make the Cards Challenge #23

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I made using the sketch at Make the Cards Challenge.

I had the Pinkfresh Studio Hanging Florals already stamped, colored and die cut and thought it would be a perfect fit for the circle element, so I cut off the stop part of the image and placed it on a die cut cirlcle of Pear Pizzazz striped paper.  This was placed on a white panel embossed with SU Tasteful Texture EF.  I then added a thin mat of Pear Pizzazz CS.  The sentiment is from the new SU Sweet As A Peach set.  I angled the ends of the sentiment strip and glued it down over the circle.

A friend suggested I add it to The Flower Challenge as it has stripes so I will link it there.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Framed

Hello friends and welcome to a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time TaeEun is our host and would like us to have a frame on our cards.

I just received this Concord & 9th Thinking of You Stamp Set and die set and thought it was perfect for our framed challenge this time.  The frame and flowers are all one piece and the stamp set matches the corner flower spray.  I die cut the whole frame in white and then overstamped the flower images.  I tried my best to line it up.  One corner was not lined up good so I stamped and die cut just the corner section and then did some snipping and lined up the second piece.  I colored the flowers with SU Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue Blends, and a yellow for the flower centers.  I cut a lt. blue card 4-1/4 x 5-1/2", embossed it with the Tasteful Texture EF and mounted it to the white card base.  The sentiment from SU Well Written dies is die cut twice in white and layered for dimension. I am really pleased with the final card and will be using this lovely floral frame again.

Be sure to check out all the great inspiration by the team over at Seize the Birthday and I hope to see you in our gallery.

Thinking of You for CAS Mix Up Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a card I made for the CAS Mix Up Challenge - Alcohol Inks on Vellum.

I used alcohol inks on vellum, stamping, die cut, and added some foiling on the alcohol inked vellum. I watched several videos on this technique before attempting it.  I really liked the final result and it is so pretty behind the die cut.
I die cut Memory Box Floral Stem Collage from a white panel and stamped the sentiment from SU Good Morning Magnolia. I added a gold rhinestone to the center of the flower.   I used 3 shades of alcohol ink and the alcohol blending solution, mixed them and, blew them around on the vellum with a straw.  I dabbed the excess off and when it was dry but still sticky I used a piece of gold foil and rubbed it in several places (thanks to the instructions in the video).  You can see the gold better in the photo below.

Merry Christmas

I pray everyone in the path of Elsa stays safe.  We are starting to get some heavy rain here in Florida where I am at and it is stronger along the coast.  I am more inland.

Hello friends.  It is Christmas in July and I am working on some Christmas cards.  I made this one for the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes, optional Jingle Bells

The bell image is an older Our Daily Bread stamp (now Divinity Designs) called Jingle Bells.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Promarkers.  I then fussy cut the image and mounted it with foam tape on a white panel cut with Pinkfresh Studios Diagonal Stitched Plaid Cover Plate.  I matted the white panel with a thin mat of Real Red CS.  I cut Memory Box Special Merry Christmas from Real Red CS 3 times and layered it for dimension.  After I colored the image I painted a thin coat of SU Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (retired) over the bells and they really shine in person. Below is a picture of the shine on the bells.

I am really pleased with the final results on my card and have another one ready for Christmas.

Always and Forever

Hello friends.  I am sharing a wedding card I made for my grandson's step-daughter.  They loved the card.

I used a Darice heart EF for the background and added a strip of b/w check paper from my stash.  I die cut the black scallop heart and ivory heart with SU Be Mine Stitched Framelits.  The sentiment is from SU Forever Blossoms (love this font).  I mounted the heart with foam tape and added 3 small pink pearls.  The flowers are from SU Birthday Blooms (retired).  I colored them with alcohol markers, then fussy cut them and mounted them with foam tape.  I was pleased with the finished card.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card I made for my daughter and son-in-law.  Their anniversary is next week.

The colors are teal in person but show up blue in the photo.  Teal was the main color in their wedding so I always try to use that color.  I had to use my new Poppystamps Double Diamond Lattice Plate die and placed it over some paper from my stash.  Next I cut a fancy rectangle with SU Ornate Layers die and stamped the sentiment from SU Many Mates.  The flower is from Altenew Book Engravings. It is a layered stamp but I only used the outline and first layer with Island Indigo ink, stamped off once, as it was too dark full strength.  I used my aqua brush to spread the ink a little over the white areas. The leaves from the same set are colored with alcohol markers. The flower is mounted with foam tape.  As a final touch I added some older small enamel dots.

I used the sketch from The Paper Players for the design of my card.
