Christmas Card Challenges #9

Good morning friends.  This week we have a new challenge for you at Christmas Card Challenges, and it is anything goes as long as it is for Christmas.

My card base is Coredinations Heavy White Card, 110 #, and the black mats are Recollections CS.  The DSP is from Teresa Collins Candy Cane Land 6x6 pad.  The stripe paper is the reverse of the green paper.  I thought the design went well with the trees in the image, which is by Hampton Arts.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Promarkers, and fussy cut it.  The sentiment on the banner is small but I think you can make it out, it says "have a cozy little".

Now check out the rest of the design team's creations over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Sketch Challenge

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week we have a sketch for our "Toppings" option.

I used Cordinations Heavy White Card for my card base and the circle, which was embossed with a Sizzix Music EF.  The circles were cut from MFT Pierced Circles and Circles Stax 2 dies.  The pink DSP and mats are from an older Making Memories Kate 6x6 pad.  The green DSP is from American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 pad.  I stamped the flowers from MFT Scribble Roses in SU Pretty in Pink ink and die cut the matching Scribbles Roses Overlay die from Regal Rose CS.  I fussy cut them and added the leaves cut from Certainly Celery CS with the MFT Royal Leaves die.  The flowers are mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Something to Celebrate.

Now check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us this time.

Toasty Greetings

Good Morning friends.  We have a new challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is a color challenge.

I used this cute snowman set from MFT Toasty Greetings.  I stamped the snowman and paper-pieced his coat and hat with some scraps on my desk.  I colored his scarf with Copics and fussy cut him out.  I added a mixture of Flower Soft and Fun Flock to his coat and hat trim.  I colored the fire with Copics and fussy cut it also.  The greeting is from the same set and I cut the banner ends and mounted it with foam tape.  I stamped the MFT Snowfall Background on Sno Cone CS and embossed with white embossing powder.  I tore a scrap piece of white for the snow at the bottom and mounted the snowman and fire with foam tape.  The DSP is from MFT Homespun Gingham paper pack.  The card base and mats are Coredinations Heavy White Card.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by the team over at Christmas Card Challenges. I hope you will be inspired to join us this week.

Happy Birthday for JUGS and MFTWSC264

This is my card for this week's Just Us Girls challenge #326 using My Favorite Things WSC264.
I used SU Bashful Blue and Night of Navy CS and the DSP is from American Crafts Jack Frost 6x6 pad, which includes the lt. blue, dark blue and white for the challenge.  The scallop mat is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  The large star is a SU punch and the small star is cut with a die from MFT Rock and Roll (discontinued).  The stars are mounted with foam tape. The Happy Birthday is cut using MFT Arrow Greetings.  I cut the letters off of the arrows.  I added a rhinestone at each end to finish up my card.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas for Christmas Card Challenges

Good morning friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is a photo challenge.

For my card I used Coredinations Heavy White Card and Ranger Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  The ornaments from SU Ornament Keepsakes and sentiment from SU Greetings of the Season were stamped in Versamark and gold embossed.  I fussy cut the ornaments (even though I have the matching dies), mounted them with foam tape and added some SU gold ribbon.  The panel is embossed with SU Brick Wall EF.  A fairly simple card, but it turned out beautifully, in my opinion.

Now check out all the great cards by our design team over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Happy Anniversary for JUGS #325 and FMS 219

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Seize the Birthday card.

I made my anniversary card for a couple at church using the JUGS Metallics challenge and FMS #219.  I used SU Gold Foil paper and SU Gold Soiree DSP.  The flowers from Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with Ranger Gold Fine Detail Embossing Powser.  The sentiment is Elizabeth Craft Designs Happy Anniversary.  I used a Uniball Signo Gold pen for the faux stitching around the sentiment panel, which was mounted with foam tape.  The flower was also mounted with foam tape.

I appreciate you stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday my friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time our "Toppings" option is Clean and Simple.  Remember it is just an option, the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.
I have a hard time doing clean and simple as I am always wanting to add layers and embellies :) , but here is my card.
The flower is from SU Lotus Blossom, stamped in SU Marina Mist and Bashful Blue (retired).  The stem and leaves are done in Old Olive.  The leaves are from Birthday Blossoms and the sentiment is from Simply Sketched.  I used my blender pen to add ink to the leaves.  The panel is cut with Lil' Inker's Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangle die.  The DSP is a scrap from my stash and the mat is Marina Mist.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us this week.

Happy Holidays

Good Morning friends and Happy New Year to you all.  We have a color challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges.

I used Mojo Monday sketch #428 for my card.

The DSP is Echo Park Reflections Christmas.  The tan snowflake is the reverse side of the stripes. The mats are SU Riding Hood Red and the card base is SU Crumb Cake.  I stamped the candle image and sentiment from Verve's Light My World.  I used my water brush pen and Riding Hood Red ink to color the poinsettias and Promarkers on the flames and edges of the candles.  I cut the flag with an MFT die from Blueprints 24 and then angled the top corners. The circles are cut with MFT Circle Stax 1 and 2.  I did some paper piercing around the edges and sponged them lightly with SU Crumb Cake ink.  I mounted the tag and circle with foam tape.  The gold ribbon is from my stash.

Hop over to Christmas Card Challenges and see what fabulous creations the team has to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and a Happy New Year.
