Amazing Birthday for CAS Mix Up Card Challenge

I wanted to try the baby wipe technique featured on the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge and this is what I came up with.
My choice is baby wipe, stamping and die cutting.
I used 3 baby wipes to make an ink pad with Crushed Curry, Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo inks. I tried stamping a couple of different stamps but didn't like it, so I tried the swiping technique and liked it better.  I have another background for a card and will show that later.  For this one I die cut the Memory Box Cheery Flower Collage from a white panel die cut with SU Stitched Rectangles.  I placed this over my swiped panel and added 2 rhinestones to the flower centers.  The sentiment is from SU Humming Along.

The Flower Challenge - Embossing

This is my second post today, scroll down for my Seize the Birthday card.
I am linking my card to The Flower Challenge #32 - Embossing (heat or dry). I used both heat and dry on my card.
I made this card for a special friend using my new Technique Tuesday Fresh Peonies set. The flowers and sentiment are from the same set.  I stamped the flowers with Versafine Onyx Black and then embossed with clear embossing powder.   I colored the flowers with SU Calypso Coral Blends and the leaves with Old Olive Blends.  The panel is cut with a SU Stitched Rectangle die and matted with Calypso Coral card.  I mounted this panel with foam tape to a panel embossed with SU Tulip Border EF (retired).   Then it was mounted to  a Calypso Coral base.  I added Wink of Stella to the flowers to match the shine of the embossing.  You can see it better in the photo below.

Seize the Birthday - Presents

Hello friends.  Happy Thursday, it is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time I chose the "Toppings" option of presents.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.
I used this cute Pure Innocence image from MFT.  I stamped her with her big present, colored with Copics and then fussy cut her.  I paper pieced the ribbon on her present.  I added a cute little tag from another stamp.  I added more presents from different MFT stamps.  The yellow present is glued behind the larger present.  I then added the trio of smaller presents with foam tape.  This whole set was added with foam tape to a panel die cut with Lil' Inker Side Stitched Rectangles.  I lightly sponged the background with MFT English Brick Wall Stencil.  The pattern paper is from my stash and is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  I used colors from the paper to color the images.

I hope you check out all the great cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday, and our Guest Designer, Linda.

CAS Christmas - Stocking

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for CAS Christmas - Stocking.
ETA:  My card was one of the Outstanding Design picks for May CAS Christmas.

For my card I used this cute image from Penny Black Gather Around set. Aren't those kitties cute hanging on to their stockings.
I colored the image with Promarkers and also added a background by sponging Crumb Cake ink over an MFT English Brick Wall stencil.  I added to rhinestones, colored with a gray marker, to the ends of the garland to look like it was pinned on the wall.  I then framed the image with 2 dies from SU Stitched Rectangle dies.  I added a thin red mat to pick up the red in the stockings.  The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh Angel Friends set.

Thank You So Very Much

Hello friends. Today I am sharing a card that was a special request by my brother who is pastor of Cowboy Fellowship Church.  He needed several special thank you cards.
I used 3 different stamp sets for my card.  The cowboy is from MFT Saddle Up & Celebrate, along with the matching dies.  The church, trees and clouds are from Lawn Fawn Happy Village stamps and matching dies.  The sentiment is from SU Butterfly Gala.  I colored the images with Copics.  The cowboy and the church are mounted with foam tape.  The trees, clouds and sentiment panel are glued on the main panel which is sponged with Distress Oxide inks and matted with brown card.  The card base is SU Crumb Cake.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a blessed day.

Happiest of Birthdays

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing a preview of a new SU set and one of the new In-Colors, Rococo Rose.  This is my favorite of the new colors, and you know I love making floral cards.
The stamp set is Floral Essence and it has the matching punch for this flower in a bundle.  I stamped the flower 4 times with Rococo Rose, sponged more ink in the middle, then punched them out and layered them.  The leaves are die cut in Wild Wasabi with a die from Wonderful Romance  (retiring).  The sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday (retiring), die cut and matted with the Layering Ovals dies.  The Whisper White panel is embossed with the Subtle EF. The DSP is from the new In-Color stack and the card base and mat are Rococo Rose CS.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Somebunny Wishes You a Happy Birthday

Hello Friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  This time Shirley would like us to use the "Toppings" option balloons on our birthday card.  We also have a new "Surprise Party Guest" for the next 2 months, Linda of Lin's Craft Corner, so be sure to check out all the cards made by Linda and our fabulous team.
For my card I used MFT Somebunny and the matching dies.  This is my fist time using this cute set and I think the bunnies are so adorable, unfortunately I checked the website and it is no longer available.    I colored the images with Promarkers, die cut them and added them with foam tape to a panel cut with a stitched rectangle die.  I stamped the grass with an old stamp I have and then sponged the clouds on before adding the images.  The flowers are just glued on and the balloons and bunny were added with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same set.  The pink wood grain paper is from my stash and I think it is from a Recollections pad.  It is die cut with a scallop die from MFT Blueprints 20 set.

Be sure to check out all the great cards over at Seize the Birthday and I hope you will join in the fun.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a friend's birthday.  I saw similar cards on Pinterest and I love the way the SU Delicate Lace Edgelits make a card so delicate and pretty.
I die cut the edge of the white panel with the lace dies and then embossed it with SU Subtle EF and mounted it over a Wild Wasabi panel.  This was mounted to a Petal Pink card base.  The flower and leaves are from MFT Brilliant Blooms and colored with Copics.  I then die cut them with the matching dies and mounted the flower with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Inspirational Birthday set by My Sentiments Exactly, stamped on an oval cut with SU Layering Ovals and matted on Wild Wasabi scallop oval die cut from the same set.  The silver trim ribbon is also by SU.  I added 3 small rhinestones to finish my card.

I will link this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Happy Birthday, it is their 10th birthday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
