Sezie the Birthday - Sentiment on a Banner

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Barbara wants us to put our sentiment on a banner. Thanks Barbara for a fun "Topping" option.

I had this lovely floral image and die by Technique Tuesday, Meadow Flowers, on my table and wanted to use them so I stamped them on a Stitched So Sweetly stitched scallop die cut and colored them with SU Highland Heather and Old Olive Blends.  The sentiment from Lawn Fawn Wavy Sayingts was stamped on the matching Simply Wavy Banners die cut and mounted with foam tape over the flower stems.  For the background panel I embossed it with SU Dainty Diamonds (ret.) and mounted a strip of Highland Heather pattern paper across the middle.  I glued this to the card base and them mounted the flower panel with foam tape and my card was done.

Be sure to check out what the design team and our guest designers have created for this fun challenge.  I hope you will join us for this challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Spring Flowers for Seize the Birthday

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time for our "Toppings" option TaeEun would like us to use Spring Flowers on our cards.   Remember it is an option and if you prefer, you can just make it for a birthday.

For my card I have used Technique Tuesday Royal Jasmine Stamp and die set, and my new Window Sphere Die by Altenew (I love this new die). The sphere die just cuts an opening with slits in the panel and I put a lt. pink panel behind it.  I then embossed it with SU Subtle EF to give it a little texture.

The pretty flowers are colored with Pink Pirouette and Flirty Flamingo Blends and the stem & leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends.  I mounted them on the panel with foam tape.  I then stamped the sentiment from SU Art Gallery set.  I punched the flag ends and then glued it on leaving the end loose. This panel was mounted to my card base and my card was done.  I really like how it turned out.

Be sure to check out all the lovely spring flower cards by the team and our guest designer Lynda over at Seize the Birthday.

I will also link my card to Addicted to CAS Challenge - Flower

and to The Flower Challenge -Pretty Pastels

Happy Birthday for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I had stamped and die cut several of these Technique Tuesday Royal Jasmine flowers and I laid the yellow one on some of the ombre paper from the recent SU Sale-a-Bration that I was using for another card and it looked so pretty against the Bermuda Bay Ombre paper that I decided to use it for a card.

I remembered seeing this sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and went to work.

I cut a panel of the Bermuda Bay ombre paper and then cut a 1/2" strip from the darkest shade at top.  I embossed the top half with SU Tasteful Texture EF to give it distinction from the bottom half, and then added the strip across the middle as in the sketch.  The sentiment is from SU Good Morning Magnolia and is die cut with a circle die and mounted on a black scallop circle.  I added this with foam tape and them mounted the whole panel on a thin black mat.  I added the flower with foam tape also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for CAS Mix Up - Embossing with Dies

Hello Friends.  First, let me say that I hate the new Blogger. :(  I can't tell you how much trouble I have had the last 2 days with it and I am finally trying to get this card posted for the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge. - Embossing with Dies.

For my card I used this lovely flower from Technique Tuesday called Royal Jasmine.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with SU Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut it with the matching die and then did a little extra fussy cutting.  I mounted it with foam tape on a Stitched Rectangle die cut panel embossed with a die from Kaisercraft.  You can see the embossing better in the photo below.  The sentiment is from SU Butterfly Wishes.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I have been busy making birthday and anniversary cards for family & friends.  I am sharing another anniversary card for a couple of friends at church.  I am linking to The Paper Players - Wedding/Anniversary challenge.

ETA:  My card was one of the A Cut Above picks at The Paper Players.
This is a CASE card from The Technique Tuesday site.  I was inspired by this card
and had to get this Royal Jasmine stamp & die set.  I  made a few minor changes to my card:  the embossing folder, sentiment and added a little more color with SU Petal Pink Blends.   I only used 3 clear gems and added a lt. green mat.  The sentiment is from SU Many Mates stamped on a stitched circle die cut.  The flower image and the sentiment are raised with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello Friends.  I am working on June anniversary and birthday cards already and have an anniversary card to share with you.  This is for a couple at church.
The background die cut is an Altenew die.  The flowers are Technique Tuesday Mixed Flower Bouquet and matching die.  I colored the flowers with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends and mounted them with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet stamped on a Stitched Oval die cut and mounted with foam tape.

I am linking my card over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - use dies and/or punches.  I used 3 dies on my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Another Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have another birthday card to share using paper from the old DCWV Dots, Stripes, & Plaids mat stack that I used on my card yesterday.  I loved this blue plaid paper in the pad and wanted to use it.
I  die cut the Fresh Peonies image by Technique Tuesday after I colored it with Copics.   The sentiment from SU Happy Birthday Gorgeous (retired) is stamped in SU Pacific Point on a Stitched Rectangle die cut and mounted with foam tape.  The blue plaid paper has a light glittery stripe in the design so I added Wink of Stella to my flowers to give them some sparkle.  The sparkle doesn't show up much on the flowers. It is so pretty in person.  I also added 3 small rhinestones for a little more bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

The Flower Challenge - Embossing

This is my second post today, scroll down for my Seize the Birthday card.
I am linking my card to The Flower Challenge #32 - Embossing (heat or dry). I used both heat and dry on my card.
I made this card for a special friend using my new Technique Tuesday Fresh Peonies set. The flowers and sentiment are from the same set.  I stamped the flowers with Versafine Onyx Black and then embossed with clear embossing powder.   I colored the flowers with SU Calypso Coral Blends and the leaves with Old Olive Blends.  The panel is cut with a SU Stitched Rectangle die and matted with Calypso Coral card.  I mounted this panel with foam tape to a panel embossed with SU Tulip Border EF (retired).   Then it was mounted to  a Calypso Coral base.  I added Wink of Stella to the flowers to match the shine of the embossing.  You can see it better in the photo below.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just Us Girls #214 - Technique Challenge

I made a card for the technique challenge at Just Us Girls blog to create a background of words.

I used Technique Tuesday's Jingle All The Way stamp set to create the chalkboard background.  I inked up the sentiments with Versamark ink while they were still on plastic liner and stamped them on Basic Black CS and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I sponged some white ink around to make it look like a chalkboard.  I mounted it to an Always Artichoke CS mat and then to a Whisper White CS base.  The Sahara Sand tag was cut with Verve's Tagged Rectangle die.  The poinsettia was made with Spellbinder's dies. I inked the veins with Crumb Cake ink and added some pearls to the center, and mounted it with foam dimensionals.  The tag was added to the card with foam dimensionals also.

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your comments.

Hope Your Birthday Is A Blast for STB18

I received birthday honors for my card.

This is my card for Seize The Birthday #18 challenge.  I stamped the images from Technique Tuesday's Out of This World set on X-Press It Blending Card in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink and coored them with Promarkers.  I cut them out and mounted them with foam tape.  The DSP and Lt. Blue Paper is some older Hot Off The Press paper from my stash. I used SU More Mustard to mat the DSP and punch the star by the sentiment.  I colored the "Blast" part of the sentiment with orange and yellow markers to resemble the flame on the rocket.  The sentiment is mounted with foam tape also.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appeciate your comments.
