Seize the Birthday - add Geometric Shapes

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time TaeEun would like us to use Geometric Shapes on our cards.  Remember it is always "anything goes" if you are not into the toppings option of geometrics.
For my card I used the SU Hexagon EF for the Soft Sea Foam panel and used the de-bossed side.  I also swiped my white ink pad across the raised design to make it stand out a little more.
The greeting is from SU Butterfly Wishes and is die cut with the Stitched Labels die.  I stamped the large flower from Daisy Lane twice in Flirty Flamingo ink and then sponged it lightly with the same ink.  I punched it with the matching punch, layered it, and added a Floral Essence Flower Center.  The leaves are die cut with a retired die.  The flower and sentiment panel are mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the designers at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.  We can always use birthday cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I greatly appreciate you comments.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Wedding Album

Hello friends.  I am sharing a wedding album I made for a couple at church. I hope you don't mind scrolling through the photos as there are quite a few,  The album is 8 1/2 by 6 1/2 and I used papers from several different paper pads. The flowers and leaves are made with Heartfelt Creations Ariana Blooms stamps and dies.  I used SU Merry Merlot ink as burgundy is one of her wedding colors. I am entering this at The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.  I read the rules and didn't read anything that says it specifically has to be a card.
On the cover I also used a Spellbinders die and SU Heirloom Frames Dies & Embossing Folder and mounted the frame with foam tape.

JUGS - Stacking Die Cuts

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card I made for friends using the Just Us Girls Challenge - Stacking Die Cuts.  I finished my card just in the nick of time.
I used the cute Stitched Posies dies by Lil' Inker Designs and extra leaves by Impression Obsession.  I die cut the flowers in MFT Summer Splash and Tropical Teal card and stacked them together with a small pearl in the centers.  The leaves are die cut from SU Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi.  The pretty die cut frame is my new die by Poppy Stamps.  I embossed the larger panel with SU Tufted EF (love this EF) .  I die cut it and added foam tape to the outside layer and added that to a Summer Splash panel stamped with the Mesh Background stamp by MFT.  I than glued the center panel flat and stamped with Stampendous Happy Anniversary.  I also added 3 small pearls to that panel.  So, the frame panel is stacked and the flowers are stack.  I really like how the card turned out.

I am also adding this to The Flower Challenge - Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Mix Up - Inchies

Hello friends.  I have a card for the CAS Mix Up Challenge - Inchies to share with you today.
I used stamping, coloring, dry embossing and texture.
I have never used such small stamps before but wanted to give it a try.  I first cut 4 one inch squares and then stamped these cute images from Cottage Cutz Snow Fun.  The set was a gift from a friend.  I colored them with markers, sponged some light blue ink around the 3 sides and then added a tiny bit of Snow Texture Paste to the bottoms. I think they turned out so cute.  I matted them with a thin red mat and added them with foam tape to a panel that was partially embossed with SU Softly Falling EF.  I stamped the sentiment in SU Real Red with a Verve stamp, added a thin red mat and then added the panel to my card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - It's Just A Number

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Colleen would like us to use numbers on our cards.  It is just an option and the only requirement is that it has to be a birthday project.
We are also welcoming a new Surprise Party Guest and it is Annie, from Pawsitive Thoughts by AnnieBe sure to stop by Annie's blog and show her some love.
For my card I used an older embossing folder by Cuttlebug that has numbers all over for the white panel, then added some pattern paper from an older Colorbok 6x6 pad.  I matted that panel with a red mat and added die cut flowers using MFT Stitched Flowers to match the colors in the pattern paper.  I also added some jewel enamel dots to the centers of the flowers.  The oval panel and mat are cut with SU Layered Ovals dies.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched (retried).

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by our guest and design team at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for a friend

First I would like to send out prayers for the people in the Bahamas that have been going through this monstrous hurricane, and also for the people along the eastern coast of the US.  I pray Dorian stays out in the ocean and away from the US.  We are only expecting winds and rain bands from the hurricane where I live, which is about 100 miles inland from the east coast of Florida.

My layout is similar to today's Mojo Monday sketch on Julee's blog so I am linking it there.
This is a birthday card I made for friend at church.  I stamped the truck from SU Farmhouse Christmas (retired) and masked the tree in the back of the truck.  I colored it with a pale gray as he has a lt. gray truck.  I created the scene with inks, an old grass stamp. and the trees from SU Rustic Retreat. The sentiment is from the same set. I stamped it on a blue panel cut with SU Stitched Rectangles.  The pattern paper is from my stash and I added black mats to make it stand out.  I also added 3 small black enamel dots under the image panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
