Hello friends and happy Thursday. It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time TaeEun would like us to use Geometric Shapes on our cards. Remember it is always "anything goes" if you are not into the toppings option of geometrics.
For my card I used the SU Hexagon EF for the Soft Sea Foam panel and used the de-bossed side. I also swiped my white ink pad across the raised design to make it stand out a little more.
The greeting is from SU Butterfly Wishes and is die cut with the Stitched Labels die. I stamped the large flower from Daisy Lane twice in Flirty Flamingo ink and then sponged it lightly with the same ink. I punched it with the matching punch, layered it, and added a Floral Essence Flower Center. The leaves are die cut with a retired die. The flower and sentiment panel are mounted with foam tape.
Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the designers at Seize the Birthday. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge. We can always use birthday cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I greatly appreciate you comments.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
This is so pretty in the pale green and pink. Great idea to use white ink to emphasize the hexagon background.
ReplyDeleteGreat card and design. I love single daisies and that is a good tip on the background . Thanks
ReplyDeleteThat soft green background is so pretty with that pink flower, JoAnn! Love the depth of color in the flower and the textured center! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove that Sea Foam color and the way you used the de-bossed side of the panel. Great card my friend. Hope all is well with you!
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, love your soft colors on your birthday card. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so pretty! The subtle use of the geometric shapes in the background makes your pretty card look more modern!
ReplyDeleteThe hexagon background has so much texture but looks soft, great idea to use the debossed side, it's perfect with that pretty pink daisy, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the soft floral, and the soft background! The debossed end sure suits it just fine - I actually thought it was pattern paper - looks so fine! Totally love your card!
ReplyDeleteLove the texture of that embossed background and the idea of swiping a little ink for emphasis! Beautiful daisy for the focal point!
ReplyDeleteSuper hexagon background (I rarely use mine) it looks so beautiful. You asked about my die background, I have no idea what it is called or the company, I got it from a friend.
ReplyDeleteLove the textured background! Goes so well with the flower - such a beautiful card JoAnn.
ReplyDeleteYour hexagon BG really shows off that pretty bloom!
ReplyDeleteYour background choice is perfect for this lovely flower. Beautiful card.
