Happy Anniversary X2 (Second Post Today)

Hello Friends.  This is my 2nd post today.  I made two anniversary cards for 2 sweet couples at church.
My first card uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used SU Lost Lagoon CS and DSP, and Whisper White CS.  The white panel is embossed with an Anna Griffin EF by Cuttlebug.  The sentiment is from Verve's  Love Story stamped in Lost Lagoon ink.  The flower is from Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur set.  I stamped it in Lost Lagoon ink on white, fussy cut it out and then inked the centers and edges with the same ink.  I went over the petal edges with a Sakura Clear Glitter pen and added a SU Large Rhinestone to the center.  The flower and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

My 2nd card uses the same sentiment from Verve's Love Story and the flower from Verve's One Person (discontinued).  I stamped the flower twice and fussy cut them out, and added a homemade enamel dot to the center (made from pony beads. I saw the video on YouTube).  The hearts are from Verve's More Than Love set stamped in Lost Lagoon ink.  I mounted the flower and hearts with foam tape.  The card base and center strip are MFT's Natural CS and the blue mats and DSP are from an older DCWV French Country Calendar kit.  I punched the heart border with an EK Success border punch.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Card Challenges - Anything Goes

Happy Sunday after Christmas.   I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day.  Today we have a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and it is "anything goes".   I love making Christmas cards all year long and this is a good way to build your stash and you have them all ready when Christmas is here again.

Here is my card for this week's challenge.

The card base is SU Always Artichoke, the mat is Crumb Cake and the DSP is from a retired Christmas pack, and the ribbon is Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  The greeting is from an Inspired By Stamping set stamped in Always Artichoke ink.  It is cut with an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I ran it back through to cut the other end.  The flower is made with MFT Poinsettia die from SU Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive CS.  The yellow is a piece of scrap.  All the edges were inked for more detail and it was mounted with foam tape.  The border is punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I added tiny pearls to each point.

Seize the Birthday - Silver and Gold

Happy Thursday friends.  I am trying to get a regular posting mode again.  I saw the orthopedist and he said my arm was healing and I only needed to wear the sling if I felt I needed it.  Also, I have to start physical therapy now and go back to the doctor in 3 weeks.  I am thankful to be out of that sling. :)
Now that that is out of the way, it is time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge and this time we have the "toppings" option of using silver and gold.  Here is my card using the "toppings" option.

My card base is MFT Smooth White.  The black panel was die-cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 1.  The gold stripe vellum is from SU.  I die-cut the sentiment from Brushed Silver CS using Happy Birthday #3 Sizzix die.  The balloon from SU Crazy for Cupcakes (retired) was stamped and embossed in silver embossing powder and then stamped and embossed in gold.  I then stamped the balloon on Brushed Silver and Brushed Gold, fussy cut them out and adhered them over the embossed outline.

Now you need to check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over  at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.

Seize the Birthday

Yay, I was able to make a card (mostly left-handed and typing with my left hand) for the first time in almost 2 weeks.  I saw the doctor Tuesday and he said to continue keeping my fractured arm in a sling and take it out twice a day and let it hang down so I don't get a frozen elbow..  I can move my hand but not my upper arm, where the fracture is.  I go back in 2 weeks for a check-up and more x-rays.

It is Thursday and time for Seize The Birthday.  It is anything goes, no toppings.

For my card I used MFT Whisper White and SU Rose Red CS & DSP.  I stamped the flower from SU Beautiful Bunch and sentiment (no name) in SU Rose Red.  The flower is punched with the matching Fun Flower punch.  I added pearls to the center.  The sentiment is cut with Spellbinders Circle & Scalloped Circle dies.
Both were moounted with foam tape.  The MFT Layered Leaves die is cut from SU Pistachio Pudding. I left the punch out sections in for more interest.

I am linking to Just Us Girls also as it is Wild Card week - anything goes.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates at Seixe the Birthday and play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Happy Thursday everyone.  It is time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge and the "toppings" option this week is leaves.
Here is my card and I chose to use the "toppings" option of leaves to make my fall birthday card.
I used SU Very Vanilla and More Mustard CS.   The DSP is from some retired SU paper packs.   I also used the retired French Foilage stamp set in some fall colors that matched the papers, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie inks. I stamped each leaf and then sponged different inks over them, fussy cut them and mounted them to the sentiment panel.    The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched, stamped in Soft Suede, cut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals & matted with a Scalloped Oval. The banners are cut with MFT Fishtail Flags dies.  I added some rhinestones in the bottom right corner.

Now hop over to Seize the Birthday and see what my teammates did with this challenge.  I hope you play along with us.

Merry Christmas for 3 challenges

My card base is SU Whisper White and the mat and cross piece are Riding Hood Red.  The turquoise DSP is from an old SU paper pack.  I used Spellbinder's Poinsettia dies (sold at Classy Cards 'N Such) and cut it from Riding Hood Red, inked the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink and shaped the petals.  The center is cut from gold cs and I mounted the flower with foam tape.  The gold ribbon is by Offray.  The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages.

Here is a photo of the inside which shows a sentiment from Our Daily Breads Christmas Blessings set.  I added a little strip of DSP and red cs to match the front.

Peace for Merry Monday #134

This is my card for Merry Monday #134 - create a card with ornaments in silver/gray and blue.
I stamped the ornament from Hero Arts in Versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.  It is a lot prettier in person.  I used SU Island Indigo and Brushed Silver CS.  The white panel is embossed with Darice Snowflakes and Swirls EF and matted with silver cs.  The sentiment is from an old stamp from Michael's dollar bin and is stamped in Island Indigo Ink, cut out with a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die.  I added SU 1/8" Silver ribbon to the tag and to the ornament.  Both are mounted with foam tape.

Christmas Blessings for JUGS #266 Chalkboard Technique

I decided to make a Christmas card with the challenge at Just Us Girls #266.
I tried several different DSP before settling on the green one from Pebbles Welcome Christmas 6x6 pad.  The red is some scrap paper I had.  I cut the black from DCWV Chalkboard Stack with a Spellbinder's A2 Divine Eloquence die.  The sentiment is from Verve Christmas Blessings, the star border from Verve Borderline and the holy is from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames.  I stamped them all in Versamark ink and used white embossing powder; then I smeared some white ink around to look like chalk dust.  I added some gold rhinestones to the stars and mounted this panel with foam tape.  The card base and mat are MFT Smooth White CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.

O Holy Night

I have been under the weather for a few days but am finally better and able to make a card.  I made a center step card with a nativity image I cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I used a pale lt. blue DSP from a Martha Stewart pad so it would look like the night sky.  The large star was part of the image and I added some sparkle with a clear glitter pen.  The tiny stars were stamped by inking just the star on the  O in the sentiment, which is an older stamp from Michael's dollar bin.  I thought it fit the image perfectly.  The swirls were cut with MFT Formal Flourish die.  All the mats are SU Basic Black and the card base is MFT Smooth White.  I added Recollections Enamel Dots on the sentiment panel.

Here is a photo of the inside as I used a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Christmas Blessings and I am entering my card in the ODBD "Anything Holiday" challenge.  I added a small strip of the blue DSP & black CS to the inside panel.

I am also entering my card at Christmas Card Challenge - Faith Based challenge.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Friday everyone.  It is time for a new challenge over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and this time it is "anything goes" as long as it is Christmas.
Grab Our Badge!
My card base and mats are SU Bashful Blue.  The white panel is cut with MFT Snowflake Fusion Cover-Up die.  I added some thin foam tape strips under the edges and mounted it on another white panel for some dimension.  The sentiment is by Inspired By Stamping and cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 2.  The Magnolia Tilda image was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.  I paper-pieced her dress with some Bashful Blue DSP.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Oval die and sponged Bashful Blue ink around the edges before removing the die.  I added some sparkle to her wings with a Gelly Roll Clear Glitter pen, but it looks gray in the photo.

Now check out the great cards by my teammates over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and I hope you will be inspired to play along.

Seize The Birthday - Orange

It is time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "toppings" option of using orange.  Remember it is an option.  The only requirement is that it be a birthday project.
Here's my card using the "toppings" option.

My card base and die-cut panel are MFT Smooth White cs.   I used Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence die on the white panel.  The DSP is SU Peach Parfait from a retired pad.   I stamped the 3 smallest Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms in Peach Parfait on white and cut them out with the matching dies.  I then sponged PP ink lightly around the edges of the petals and shaped them. I went over the edges with a Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Glitter pen and added an orange rhinestone to the center.  The leaves are made with a MS punch.  The rhinestone flourish is by Queen & Co.   The sentiment is SU Beautiful Birthday (retired) stamped in Soft Suede ink.

Now check out all the fabulous "orange" creations over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will play along with us this time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

A Very Merry Christmas for JUGS #265 - Wreaths

The wreath I used is from MFT Inspired by Holiday Botanicals.  I stamped the wreath in SU Always Artichoke and colored it with Promarkers, then fussy cut it out.  The white panel is created with MFT Brick Wall stencil and light molding paste.  I mounted the wreath and sentiment with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages and stamped in SU Gumball Green ink.  The mat is MFT Electric Red and cut with Spellbinder's Scalloped Rectangle.  I put it back in the die and cut one side again to make it narrower to fit the sentiment.  The brown DSP is from Pebbles Welcome Christmas (the print doesn't show up well). The card base is MFT Smooth White.
