CAS(E) this Sketch

I created a birthday card for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.  This is my first time playing along with this challenge - I love using sketches.
For my card I used SU Floral Frames stamp and dies (retired).  I colored the flowers with Rococo Rose Blends and added a small rhinestone to the centers. I die cut the green leafy frame and the 2 long stems with the dies; and added a white circle with a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet. The leafy die cut and flowers are mounted with foam tape.  I added Mini Stampin Dimensionals under some of the leaves.  The pattern paper is Rococo Rose and matches the diamonds in the white Tufted EF panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

JUGS Color Challenge

I made a card for a friend at church using the colors Nancy chose at the current Just Us Girls challenge.
I used SU Floral Essence for the leaves and flower.  I colored the flower with Pink Pirouette Blends and then added the darker shading with Melon Mambo ink and my aqua brush.  The leaves are stamped with Garden Green and punched with the Leaf Punch.  The designer paper is from the Garden Lane pack and the sentiment is from Magnolia Blooms.  The border on the white panel is cut with Simon Says Stamp Dot Scallop Border and mounted with foam tape.  The flower is also mounted with foam tape and I added a clear faceted gem.  I then used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen to add a little shine to the flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Card in a Box

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a baby card in a box for a sweet couple at church.  The baby shower is this weekend and I am also making a mini baby album, will post that later.
I used SU Balmy Blue CS and pattern paper with Whisper White mats.  Welcome Little One is a Simon Says Stamp die set; it's a boy! and the baby clothes line are from Inkadinkado.  The sweet baby image is a downloaded image.  The duck on the side panel is from a retired SU set, colored with Daffodil Delight Blends.  The baby bottle is a digi download.  I adhered the images to the middle panels without using clear plastic strips to elevate them.  I think it turned out adorable and I am sure she will love it.

Panda Birthday Card

Today I am sharing a card I made for a young 5 year old girl at church.
All the items used are retired Stampin Up except for the Basket Weave EF which is on Certainly Celery CS, and the White Bakers twine balloon strings.  The sentiment and die cut are from Rose Wonder; the balloons are made with a punch and the cute panda is from Party Pandas.  I mounted them all with foam tape.  A quick card but perfect for a little one.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Rainbow

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Cathy has chosen the "Topping" option of Rainbow.
I made a rainbow background by embossing MFT All Lined Up in white on Mixed Media paper.  I then sponged different ink colors over the embossed image for my rainbow effect.  I added a thin black mat to make it pop on the white card base.  The flowers are made with the new SU Medium Daisy Punch and the leaves with SU Leaf Punch. I colored some clear faceted gems with a yellow marker and added them to the flower centers.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Bouquet, cut and matted with SU Layered Ovals dies.  The sentiment and the flowers are mounted with foam tape.

I am linking my card over at The Flower Challenge - Pretty Pastels.  I think the rainbow will pass for pastel as it is over the white embossed image and looks pretty and pastel to me. :)

I hope you will check out all the lovely cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for The Flower Challenge & FMS

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a friend using The Flower Challenge - Pretty Pastels challenge and Freshly Made Sketches #397.

I used the new SU Seaside Spray cardstock, pattern paper and ink.  The white panel is embossed with the Tufted EF.  I stamped 2 of the flowers from Floral Essence in Seaside Spray 3 times each, and then layered them with foam tape between the layers.  The centers are Daffodil Delight and I added clear Wink of Stella to them.  I mounted the flowers with foam tape and added punched leaves.  The sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday (retired) and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card requested by a friend for her brother who loves to fish.  She loved it and said it was perfect for her brother.
I used a digital image I had on my computer but can't remember where I got it. I colored the image with Copics and sponged on the sand, water and clouds.  I added some waves with my white gel pen.  The Mossy Meadow panel is embossed with the Wood Plank EF with a die cut opening for the image.  It is matted with Early Espresso and mounted on a card base of Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is from a retired set and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I haven't posted in several days as I have been quite busy getting ready for Vacation Bible School this coming week at our church.  I do the crafts for the kiddos each night.  I CASEd my previous card here to make an anniversary card for my daughter and son-in-law.  Their anniversary was yesterday.
The color in their wedding was teal so I used the new SU Pretty Peacock ink and cardstock.  I embossed the Pretty Peacock layer with the Tufted EF and then spritzed it with a mixture of alcohol and Frost Shimmer Paint.  It really gives it a sparkle and is so pretty in person.  I used the Delicate Lace Border dies for the white panel and added Perennial Essence DSP.  The flowers from Floral Essence (love this set) are stamped in Pretty Peacock and punched with the matching punch.  I lightly sponged ink over the flowers, layered them, and added a Clear Faceted Gem.  The leaves are punched from Old Olive CS.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet.  I added some sequins for a final touch of bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Sunshine

Hello there friends.  I have a new card to share for Seize the Birthday - Sunshine.   The "Topping" option is to add sunshine but remember the only requirement is that it be for a birthday.
I used MFT Penguins in Paradise for the cute scene I created.  He is getting plenty of sunshine and had to cool off under the shade of the palm.  I mounted the penguin and the beach ball with foam tape.  I curved the palm tree when I stamped it and colored with Copics. I masked the palm tree and then sponged on the sand, water and the sky.  I masked a circle in the corner for the sun and then sponged yellow on it.  I used a stencil to make the sun rays.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the Design Team over at Seize the Birthday, and our new Party Guest, Su Mohr.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Arrow Fold card for JUGS

I have seen several of the arrow fold cards lately and wanted to try it so I made one for Just Us Girls Fancy Folds challenge.
I had this paper and stamp set out from my previous card so I used SU Floral Essence stamp set for the flower and Perennial Essence DSP.  The card base is Petal Pink. I matted the paper with Whisper White.  I stamped the flower with Petal Pink ink and punched it with the matching punch.  I added a Perennial Essence Floral Center to the flower.  The leaves are punched from Old Olive CS.  The sentiment is from a retired set and I flagged the ends and mounted it with foam tape.  Below is a photo of the card opened. There is plenty of room for a sentiment inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday with Floral Essence

I was inspired by Nola's beautiful card here (thank you Nola) and wanted to make one similar to it. I changed a couple of things but used the same paper and stamps.  I love the new SU Floral Essence set and have used it several times already.
I stamped the flower 4 times in Petal Pink ink, punched them with the matching punch, and layered them.  The centers are the new Perennial Essence Floral centers.  The leaves are punched from Mossy Meadow and shaped for dimension.  The Petal Pink layer is embossed with the Tufted EF, and the pattern paper is from the Perennial Essence DSP.  The white borders are made with the Delicate Lace border dies.  The sentiment is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink on a  circle die cut with the Layering Circles die and mounted with foam tape.  I added 3 sequins for a  little bling.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
