Seize the Birthday - Sentiment as Focal Image

Happy Thursday and welcome to another Seize the Birthday challenge.  This time Colleen would like us to make the sentiment the focal image of our card.
I used MFT Birthday Wishes die to make the sentiment the focal image and die cut it out of Terracotta Tile and heavy white CS to layer it for more dimension.  I stamped the small cake image from an older Verve set in the corner and colored the flower with my aqua brush and Terracotta Tile ink.  I added a light gray to the cake icing for shading and wasn't pleased so went over the whole cake with a pale yellow.  It looks like the Memento Tuxedo Black ink might have smeared but I think it is just the lt. gray marker.  It looks better in person.  The white panel is matted with Terracotta Tile CS.   I added 3 rhinestones colored with a marker to match the Terracotta Tile.

Don't forget to check out all the designer's cards  and our party guest Joyce at Seize the Birthday for more inspiration.  Hope you see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Another Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am sharing another anniversary card I made for a couple at church.  There are 8 anniversaries in March so I have been busy.  This card was inspired by Bonnie's lovely card here.

I have had the Memory Box La Rue Heart die for awhile and wanted to use it for an anniversary card.  I die cut the heart from the white panel and then embossed the panel with Taylored Expressions Weathered EF.  I placed this over the pattern paper, I recently got at Hobby Lobby, and then placed the die cut heart back in the opening.  The sentiment is from an older Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments stamped on a die cut banner and mounted with foam tape..  I added 3 small pearls for a little bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Wishes

Hello friends. Today I am sharing an anniversary card I made for a couple at church using Altenew Sakura Blossom stamps and dies.  I had these flowers all ready stamped in my stash and wanted to use them on a card.

I used 3 shades of blue ink and don't remember which colors I used and 2 colors of green for the leaves.  I mounted them with foam tape on a panel embossed with SU Tufted EF.  I added pearls to the centers of the flowers.  The sentiment is from an older Verve set stamped on a Stitched Nested Label die and also mounted with foam tape.  The mat is SU Wild Wasabi card.

I am linking my card over at The Flower Challenge - Add Leaves.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

The Flower Challenge - Add Leaves

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a friend using The Flower Challenge-Add Leaves.

I used the flower and leaves from Altenew Wallpaper Art and colored them with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut them and mounted them with foam tape on the white panel that is die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die and stamped with a splatter stamp from SU Waterfront.  The sentiment is from SU Happy Birthday to You.  This is matted with SU Powder Pink and then on a Soft Sea Foam card base.

After the card was finished, I sprayed it with a mist of 70% alcohol and SU Champagne Shimmer Paint. (you add 4 or 5 drops of the shimmer paint to a mister about 3/4 full).  It really makes the card shimmer and is so pretty in person.  The photo below shows the shimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate you taking a look and a leaving me a comment.

Happy a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - "Show Me Your White Space"

We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday.  This time Barbara would like us to "show white space" on our cards.  We have a little information on "white space" on the STB blog. Check it out.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.  Of course if you are not into the "toppings" option, the only requirement is that it has to be a birthday project.
My white panel is embossed with the SU Tufted EF (love this EF), and the mat is Balmy Blue.  The pretty flower is from SU Forever Blossoms and die cut with the matching dies.  I used Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive Blends to color it.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Bouqet and die cut with the Layering Circles dies.

Check out all the fabulous cards by the team over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to play along.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
