Happy Anniversary

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card I made for some good friends.
I stamped the flower and leaves from SU Prized Peony in Poppy Parade (flower) and Granny Apple Green (leaves). I used my blender pens to lightly blend the ink out for a little color.  The flower is mounted with foam tape and the leave glued under it.  The pattern paper is from my stash and this is mounted on a panel embossed with a Cuttlebug Courtyard EF.  The sentiment is from SU Many Mates and is stamped and cut with a die from Stitched So Sweetly and mounted with foam tape.  I added 3 small pearls for a little bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it.  Stay safe and healthy.

Birthday card for Just Us Girls

I like the inspiration photo at Just Us Girls this week and wanted to give it a try so this is what I came up with.  I really like the way it turned out.
I taped off a section on a white card panel and sponged several Distress inks for the look of sand, water and evening sky.  When removing the tape, I got an ink smudge on one side so I then die cut the center of the panel with a stitched rectangle die to save it.  I adhered it to another white panel and then stamped the images from a Marianne Designs stamp set.  I can't find a name on it but the number is TC0835.  The birds are from an Avery Elle stamp set.  I mounted it with a thin black mat and then to my card base. The sentiment is from a SU set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

CAS Mix Up Card Challenge

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge - Embossed Vellum.
I used dry embossing, stamping, die-cutting, and fussy cutting.

I dry-embossed the vellum with an older Anna Griffin EF, Poppy and embossed the frame with SU Subtle EF. The vellum is adhered between the frame and an older piece of peach color pattern paper.   I die-cut the center of the frame with a stitched rectangle die.  The sentiment from Peaceful Moments is stamped on a scrap piece of white and adhered under the frame edges.  I stamped the flower from SU Tasteful Touches and colored it with Calypso Coral Blends. (I think it kind of matches the flower in the embossed vellum.)  The leaves from Prized Peony are stamped in black and colored with Old Olive Blends. I fussy cut the leaves and flower and adhered the flower with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stay safe and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Prayers. Love

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a friend who has been in the hospital.
I have used two SU sets, Positive Thoughts (leaves, butterfly and sentiment) and my new Tasteful Touches for the pretty bloom.  I stamped the bloom in Rococo Rose and used a blender pen to spread a little color over the petals.  I used a yellow marker to add color to the flower center.  The leaves are stamped in Wild Wasabi ink.  The butterfly was already stamped and cut so I don't remember which ink I used.  The white panel is cut with a die from the Positive Thoughts set, as is the butterfly.  I mounted the bloom with foam tape in the center.  The Seaside Spray panel is embossed with the Tasteful Textile EF, love it.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Watercoloring

Hello friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.  For this challenge Nancy would like us to use watercoloring on our birthday project.
For my card I stamped one of  the blooms from Altenew's Wallpaper Art in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I then added some Candied Apple DOI to a stamp block and used my water brush to color the bloom.  The leaves are from another stamp set and I colored them with Peeled Paint DOI.  The sentiment is an old SU stamp I have had for a number of years but I like the fancy font.  I added 3 red sequins for a little bling.  The black background die cut is Altenew's Cozy Flannel Cover Die.  The sentiment oval and bloom are mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the lovely cards by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us for this challenge.  Remember, if your not in to watercoloring,  the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

Freshly Made Sketches 440

Hello friends.  I have another thank you card I am sharing.  This one was for my sister also, and was made using Freshly Made Sketches 440.
I used Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms for the flowers and leaves.  I colored the flowers with SU Mango Melody Blends and stamped the leaves on the green pattern paper I used to mat the yellow plaid paper (from a friend).  The plaid paper is die cut with a die from SU Stitched Rectangles dies.  I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and mounted the flowers with foam tape.  I also used the green pattern paper to stamp the sentiment from SU Good Morning Magnolia and die cut with a die from Stitched So Sweetly dies.  The white is also from the same die set and mounted with foam tape.  I added yellow rhinestones to the flower centers to finish the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Thank You

Hello friends.  I have a Thank You card to share today.  My sister requested 4 Thank You cards and I had several made but needed one more.  I love this card by Jan B. and had to copy the layout and design from her card here. (Thank you Jan B.)  I used different paper and colors and omitted the ribbon.
I used Grapefruit Grove card and some retired pattern paper I have had for a while.  The flower from SU Ornate Style is stamped on a Ornate Layers die cut and colored with SU Blends. I added Wink of Stella to the flower.  The sentiment is from SU Peaceful Moments and mounted with foam tape. The die cut panel is mounted with foam tape also.  The border is die cut with an Ornate Borders die.  The white panel is embossed with Ornate Floral EF.  It makes such a pretty card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

CAS Christmas - Bells

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas card to share today.  I love making Christmas cards all year long  and wanted to join in the CAS Christmas Card Challenge which is bells this time.

ETA:  Yes, my card was chosen as one of the Top Three as CAS Christmas.
The bells and sentiment are from SU Seasonal Bells along with the bell punch (retired).  I have had this set several years and never used it so this was a good time to get it out.  I stamped both the bells and sentiment in Versamark and embossed them with gold embossing powder.  I cut the image panel and the bottom layer with SU Stitched Rectangles.  I did put the top layer back in the die and cut off one end to make it shorter and then layered the bells and mounted them with foam tape.  I added a gold/white baker's twine bow.  I added a thin gold foil mat to make the images pop.  The bottom layer is embossed with SU Subtles EF to give it more definition.  I am pleased with the way the card turned out.

I will also link to Darnell's NBUS challenge as I had not used this set before.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Masculine Birthday

Hello friends.  I needed a masculine card and this is what I came up with.
I haven't used this SU Moon Lake (retired) in quite a while but it makes a great masculine card.  First I sponged some blue on the bottom of the small panel for the water and then stamped the image at the edge of the water.  I also added two extra cattails from the image.  I colored with Copic markers and then I embossed just the water portion with a wood grain embossing folder which gave the water a ripple effect.  It is not my original idea as I had read about it on someone's blog post and it looks great.

I will link to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - It's A Man Thing.

The Flower Challenge - Navy + One Color

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for The Flower Challenge - Navy + One color.  I thought about this for awhile (maybe navy flowers) before deciding on this design with navy paper and pink flowers.
I used Night of Navy cardstock and pattern paper from the Neutrals 6x6 pack.  I die cut the border (SU Everything's Rosy - retired) and then clipped the edges so it would fit about the curve of the pattern paper.  I added navy die cut leaves over the pattern paper but they don't show up very well in the photo.  The flowers from Everything's Rosy were stamped in Melon Mambo and die cut.  I clipped between the petals and shaped them with my fingers before adding clear glitter gem stones to the centers.  The sentiment from Happy Birthday to You (retired) is stamped in Night of Navy ink to finish up my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day and are staying safe and  healthy.

Birthday Wishes

I have a birthday card to share today.  I just got this Spellbinder's Layered Colorful Blooms die set and wanted to use it so I made a card for a friend at church.
I die cut the flowers from white and layered them, then added the yellow centers.  I shaped the petals a little with my fingers.  The leaves are cut from 2 shades of green and layered.  I sponged Blue Jeans DOI in the center of the white panel and added the blooms around it.  I die cut birthday from SU Well Wishes stamp & die set (retired) 3 times and glued them together.  I stamped wishes on white card and added it with foam tape.  The flowers and leaves are glued just in the centers.  I added a thin black mat and then glued to my card base and my card was done.

I am linking to Just Add Ink - Just Add F.  Of course the first thing I thought of was flowers.  If you follow me or visit my blog, you know I love making floral cards, they are my favorite.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) Challenge as I have had the Well Wishes set for over a year and this is the first time I have used it.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - All About Summer

Hello friends.  It is time for another challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Colleen would like us to make summer birthday cards.

FF#001 Festive Friday Faves
ETA:  Yes, my card was chosen as one of the FESTIVE FAVES at Festive Friday.
For my card I first sponged the background with Crumb Cake ink for the sand and Salty Ocean DOI for the water.  I tape off the sky line and sponged the clouds with MFT Clouds stencil and Bashful Blue ink.  I had masked off the spot for the sun which I colored with a yellow marker and drew sun rays.  I thought it needed the sun to match the sentiment.  The girl and sentiment are from MFT Drink Up the Sunshine.  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics and cut her out with the matching dies, but trimmed the white edges closer.  I added the white dots to her suit and headband with a white gel pen.   The tree and beach ball are from MFT Penguins in Paradise and colored with Copics.  I mounted the  tree and ball with foam tape.  The sentiment and girl are glued  to the card front.

I will link my card at Festive Friday Challenge - First Day of Summer (I have chosen sun, summer sports (swimming) and patterns - I added spots on her swimsuit and head band)

and to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Make Your Own Background.

Check out all our fun summer cards by my teammates and our guest designer over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
