Birthday Card for TTC #098

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today. I used the bottom row across on the Tic Tac Toe Challenge -  Sentiment, Embellishment, Die Cut.

Edited:  My card was a Team Pick at Tic Tac Toe

The sentiment is from an older set from Inspired by Stamping Vintage Frames.  The die cut frame is by Mama Elephant and the flowers and leaves from Altenew Beautiful Day are also die cut.  I added 3 dark blue rhinestones for embellishments.  The background panel is embossed with a Darice EF (no name).  I mounted the frame with foam tape.  The flower and leaves are also mounted with foam tape and glued on the parts that touched the frame.  I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white and then cut it into a banner shape and mounted it with foam tape also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate the visit and when you take time to leave a comment.
Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for The Flower Challenge #52

Hello friends.  I finally got my card done for the Flower Challenge -  Embossing Heat/Dry

I stamped Honey Bee Winter Anemone in Basic Gray ink on watercolor paper and then re-stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I cut the image with my Scan N' Cut and then watercolored with DOI (Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint and Mustard Seed).  While this was drying I mounted the dry embossed panel (SU Tulip Border - retired) on a thin pink mat then to the card base.  I stamped Birthday Wishes (SU Fancy Phrases) on the embossed panel and mounted the flower image with foam tape.

You can see the shine from the embossed outline in the bottom photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Twofer Challenge and Just Us Girls

Hello friends.  This is my second post today and I have two cards I made for the two challenges:  Twofer Challenge and Just Us Girls Challenge

This is my first time participating in the Twofer challenge but since it was for flowers, I had to join in.

I originally made the card with the blue stripes for Just Us Girls Challenge

I used scraps of blue and cut different widths, added them to a transparency and then die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  I stamped the sentiment on the bottom strip and then mounted it with foam tape to the panel embossed with the Ornate Floral EF.  The white flowers are die cut with Memory Box Daisy Silhouette.

Then I remembered the Twofer challenge was for flowers so I made another card using the same flowers.

For this card I embossed the white panel with the Stone EF.  I had the scrap of green pattern paper and cut it to 4 x 5-1/4" and then cut it in half diagonally, and then again.  The sentiment is stamped on a stitched oval die cut which I inked light around the edges before removing the die.  I mounted this with foam tape.  I die cut the flowers and colored them with Promarkers and then mounted them on the sides of the oval.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate the visit and your comments.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Use Vellum or Transparency

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Ashwini has chosen the topping option of Transparency or Vellum.  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that your project has to be for a birthday.

For my card I used some pattern paper I had on my table in pink and navy.  I added a mat of Night of Navy.  The flowers, leaves and sentiment are from Gina K. Stippled Flower Stamp and Die Bundle.  I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the flower with SU Flirty Flamingo Blends and the leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut them out and added the flower with foam tape to a die cut Night of Navy circle.  I added the leaves under the flower and then added the circle with foam tape also over the end of the vellum strip heat embossed with the sentiment.and black embossing powder.  I folded the end of the vellum around the pink paper and taped it down.  For a final touch I added 3 clear rhinestones for a little bling.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the team and our guest designer over at

Thinking of You for Color Hues

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the Color Hues Challenge - Navy and Cream I will be sending this card to a friend who needs a little encouragement.

I used 2 different stamps sets on my card, SU Butterfly Wishes (small flowers stamped in Night of Navy) and Good Morning Magnolia (sentiment stamped in Night of Navy). The tiny leaves sprigs are from the Positive Thoughts die set.  I embossed the Naturals Ivory cardstock with SU Dainty Diamomnds EF (you have to click on the photo to get a good look at it).  I die cut the two pattern papers with MFT Fishtail Flags dies and then two circle dies for the sentiment and mat.  I mounted the sentiment and small flowers with foam tape.  I colored 3 clear rhinestones with the Dark Night of Navy marker and added to the center of the flowers.  That finished my card and I am pleased with the final result.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made with my new stencils from Pink Fresh Studio.  I made it for Just Us Girls challenge to use a stencil, but had computer problems and didn't get it published in time to link up.

I used Worn Lipstick DOI with the stencil for my main panel and added it to a Gray Granite mat.  The flowers are from the new SU True Love DSP and I love it.  I fussy cut the flowers and colored them with SU Blends.  The sentiment from SU Fancy Phrases is stamped in Basic Gray ink and then punched with a the Timeless Label punch.  I also punched a Gray Granite label and cut it in half and added it to the back.  The flowers and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.  I love the final result.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Birthday Card for a Child

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a young one at church.  She will be 5 and I thought this would a cute card for her.

I used these cute mice from MFT It's A Mice Time to Celebrate.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Promarkers.  I fussy cut them out and mounted them with foam tape to a scallop panel cut with Sunny Studio Frilly Frames-Lattice.  I just used the outside border. and then inked with Distress Oxide Inks.  I stamped the grass with a stamp I have had for years, but it is great for the grass stems.  I stamped the sentiment from the mice set - I thought it was cute.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for Two Challenges

Hello friends. Today I have an anniversary card to share.  I made it with my new goodies from Pinkfresh Studios so will link to The Paper Players - Use Something New

Edit:  Yea, my card was A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

I used Diamond Plaid Stencils and MFT Sno Cone ink to sponge the main panel.  I used the Daisy Wreath stencils to sponge the flower image.  It is a set of 5 stencils with different sections of the wreath.  Unfortunately I used the wrong sides of the stencils and ended up having to fussy cut the image.  I have the matching die but it didn't work with the reversed image.  I don't mind fussy cutting though, I enjoy it.  The flowers were inked with SU Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose inks, and the leaves were inked with Always Artichoke and Old Olive inks.  The center is Daffodil Delight.  The sentiment is from Just Large Rite Fancy Sentiments.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you  have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Seize the Birthday - Snowy Background

Hello friends and welcome to Seize the Birthday first challenge for 2021.  This time Barbara would like us to add a snowy background to our birthday cards.  A perfect theme for Januray, except here in Florida we don't have snow. 😉

I made the background by sponging on 2 shades of blue ink and then added the snow with a SSS stencil and  Aleene's Glitter Snow paste.  The snow bank with trees is an MFT die cut.  I colored the trees with Copics and sponged on lt. blue ink in places for dimension.  I glued the bottom of the snow bank down and added foam tape behind the the top and the trees.  The cute bear is from MFT Polar Bear Pals.  I added the balloons from another stamp set.  The balloons and his scarf are colored with markers.  I fussy cut the bear and balloons and added them with foam tape.  I used 2 different sets for the sentiment and stamped the words separately, fussy cut them and added them with foam tape also.

You should check out all the fabulous cards by the designers and our Surprise Party Guest  Jules over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for Color Hues

Hello friends.  Today I have a birthday card for a friend that I made using the Color Hues

I used Altenew Watercolor Stripes  Cover Die cut in White.  I also cut one in Smokey Slate but like the white one better and and glued the Smokey Slate cut outs in the openings.  I stamped the pretty flower from Altenew/Pinkfresh Celebrate Us and fussy cut it out.  I colored the flower with SU Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Blends and the leaves with Smokey Slate Blends.  I mounted the flower and the sentiment with foam tape.  I already had the sentiment stamped and die cut from a previous project, and just added a scalloped oval in Smokey Slate.  I added 3 small enamel dots for the final touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.
Have a wonderful day.
