Just Us Girls #834

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the JUGS #834 Challenge - CASE a DT

ETA: Thanks to JUGS for the Shout Out on my card.

The DT have some wonderful cards but I was drawn to Bobby's beautiful card and made my card inspired by her card.

I like the way Bobby had the flowers in the frame and ink blended the background.  I used Spellbiners Open Lace Frame and cut the Decorative Lattice in the center.  I blended Bundled Sage DOI in the center of the card base and them glued the frame over it.  The flowers are from Waffle Flower Tulips colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut the image and mounted it with foam tape over the trellis frame.  I masked each word on the sentiment and stamped Wishes under Birthday so it would fit the space better, fussy cut it, and then mounted it with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Get Well Soon

A friend asked me to make some Get Well cards so I am working on them and this is the first one.

I used Gina K. Designs Ornate Frame and mounted it over a panel of SU Pumpkin Pie.  I stamped the sentiment on the middle panel and glued it back in the center.  The flowers are from Gina K. Designs Flower Medley stamp & die set.  I colored them with SU Blends - Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green, then mounted them with foam tape.  I added 2 black enamel dots to the flower centers. The frame panel is mounted to a panel embossed with SU Dainty Diamonds EF and then to the card base.

I will share this at Triple B July Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies

and at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge - bottom row

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

New Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am sharing a new anniversary card I made for some friends at church.
I embossed a panel with SU Exposed Brick EF and glued it to the card base.  Then I used a stitched octagon die (no name on it) to cut a green shape with the largest die. I then used the 2nd largest die to cut a white shape and the 2nd & 3rd largest dies to cut a frame from cream card.  I stamped the sentiment using a stamp from SU Layers of Beauty set.  Then I glued the cream color frame on the white octagon.  The flower is made using MFT Upsy Daisy dies.  I cut 2 large and 2 medium flowers from SU Barely Blush, blended Flirty Flamingo ink to the centers and glued them together.  The leaves and sprigs are from PTI Into the Blooms: Anemones die set. The pink buds are cut from Flirty Flamingo card and glued to the white sprigs.  I added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) to the flower and added a few clear rhinestones on the sentiment panel and my card was done.

I will link to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #297 - my card fits the middle and bottom rows across.

and to Can You Handle the Pressure - with the twist of Celebration - I think an anniversary is a celebration.

CAS Christmas - Snowman

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card to share today.  I made this one for CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Snowman.  Thanks to Loll for starting the challenge again.

I looked through several of my snowman stamps and settled on Snowy by Penny Black.  He is easy to stamp and easy to color.  I stamped him on a panel cut with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and colored him with a few Copic markers.  I added Flower Soft to his hat band and pompom.  I  have had these glitter snowflake stickers (Hobby Lobby) for a while and thought I would add a few small ones to the background.  The sentiment is from an older Sweet 'n Sassy Crazy About Snowmen stamp set.  It has quite a few snowmen also, but I wanted to use Snowy.

You can see the snowflakes and Flower Soft better in this close up photo.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Square Card & Non-White Base

Hello friends.  I have been under the weather for a couple of weeks and am finally up to making a card just in time for our new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda wants us to make a Square Card using a Non-White Base.

For my card I made a 5-1/4" square card using Crumb Cake.  I them embossed a cream panel with Spellbinders Diamond Plaid EF.  I had the flowers fussy cut from some older SU pattern paper so I colored them with SU Blends - Crisp Cantaloupe & Calypso Coral for the flowers and Soft Succulent for the leaves.  I mounted them with foam tape to the embossed panel, then added Memory Box Happy Birthday Posh Script die cut from Calypso Coral and my card was done.

Be sure to check out what the Team and our Party Guest have created for this challenge.  Hope to see you in our gallery at Seize the Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Combining Old and New

Hello friends.  I was inspired by a couple of challenges to create my card today.
Just Us Girls - Die Week: Forgotten Favorite and Triple B Challenge - inspired by the white daisies in their mood board.

I had these MFT Uspsy Daisy Dies out for my card the other day and thought they would be perfect for these two challenges.  I have had them for over 12 years and love them.  I thought they would be perfect for the white daisies in the Trible B mood board so I cut 3 of them and layered them together, adding the yellow centers.  I added some Wink of Stella to the centers but it doesn't show up well in the photo.  I embossed a panel of Beige cardstock from a Recollections pack with my new Altenew Crisscross Blooms EF and glued it to a white card base.  The stem and leaves are cut using Simon Says Stampe Layered Perky Flower - I clipped the blooms off and added the white daisies.  The sentiment is from SU Go To Greetings (ret.) and mounted with foam tape.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS #88 Mutual Appreciation Celebration as this is the first time using the Altenew EF. Be sure to check out Darnell's post on this wonderful challenge.  She has done an excellent job inspiring all of us.

Thanks so much for topping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have a new anniversary card to share today.  This one is for a sweet couple at church and I have one more to make for July.

I used Altenew Cute Open Rose dies for the flowers and cut them from a scrap piece of aqua card., then added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) to the centers.  The leaves are cut using a die from a Spellbinders set.  The lt. aqua panel is from my stash and is embossed with Spellbinders Diamond Plaid EF.  I cut the white arch panel and stamped the sentiment from a Stampin Up set and then mounted it with foam tape.  I glued the flowers on and then glued the leaves under the petals and my card was done.

I will add this to the Triple B July Challenge - I always love making floral cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #296

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today which is for my great-granddaughter's birthday and she loves pink and green.

I embossed a panel with SU Exposed Brick EF (ret.) and glued it to the card base. Then I added a strip of Mint Macaron gingham paper across the center.  I die cut a Mint Macon scalloped circle and a white plain circle to stamp the sentiment in SU Peaceful Pine ink.  I glued the circles together and mounted with foam tape.  The pretty flowers are die cut using MFT Upsy Daisy dies.  I cut them from SU Barely Blush and blended Flirty Flamingo ink to the centers before gluing together.  I added a fancy rhinestone to the centers and glued them to opposite sides of the circle.  The leaves from a Spellbinders set are cut from Mint Macaron and added under the flowers.  I really like the finished card and I know she will also.

My card fits the center panel down -Patterned Paper, Die Cut, 3D (daisies)
and the right diagonal down row - Summer Colors, Die Cut Layers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
