Sister's Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am sharing the anniversary card I made for my sister and BIL.  She has received it and loved it.  Now,  it is on to making birthday cards. :)

I used Altenew Garden Cosmos dies for the pretty flowers.  I cut them from SU Flirty Flamingo and then used Flirty Flamingo Blends to flick ink in the centers and shaped the petals with a stylus before layering them together.  I used a fine tip black marker to dot the centers.  I die cut the stems from SU Pear Pizzazz and then layered them all together on an MFT Stitched Mini Scallop die cut.  The Misty Moonlight panel is die cut with a scallop die from MFT Blueprints 20 die and embossed with Spellbinders Cross My Heart EF, then glued to the white card base.  I then mounted the white panel to the card with foam tape.  The sentiment is from an older stamp with no name.  I cut it and flagged the end, then mounted it with foam tape.

I will link to Can You Handle the Pressure (their optional twist is Winter Blues)   I did use blue.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Silver and Teal Christmas

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card that I made for several challenges.

ETA:  My card was one of the top 3 at CYHTP.

and also  was a Runner Up at Color Hues.

I used a new to me die from Spellbinders - Simon Hurley Vintage Layered Ornaments.  I die cut the plain ornament once from white, and the detailed ornament once with silver glitter, and once with SSS Audrey Blue.  I shaded the edges of the blue ornament with Bermuda Bay ink, glued to the white base ornament and then filled all the openings with the pieces from the silver glitter ornament (a little tedious but it looks great).  The ornament toppers and hanging strings are also cut from silver glitter.  I mounted the ornaments with foam tape to a white panel embossed with Spellbinders Scattered Christmas EF.  The pine branches are cut twice from white using an older Diemond Die.  The sentiment from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink, cut with the matching die, and then mounted with foam tape.  I added a thin Bermuda Bay mat and then glued to the white card base.  I also added a clear rhinestone gem to the center of each ornament.

I will add this to Color Hues Challenge -  Teal and Silver

and to Just Us Girls Challenge Word Week - Winter.
and Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge (did not use the optional theme)

New Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I was inspired by a couple of challenges for my card.

I used the sketch at The Flower Challenge for my layout and lots of layers plus embossing for the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge and Triple B Challenge (always love making floral cards).

I used my new Honey Bee's Burlap EF for the background panel, then added the layered sentiment from Spellbinders Birthday Wreath Add-Ons die set.  The pretty bloom is from Papertrey Ink Into the Blooms: Anemones.  I die cut from lt. pink card and then blended a darker pink ink to the centers of the layers. The spikey center is cut from kraft card and white.  I layered the bloom and glued it to the panel just in the center.  I die cut the leaves from the same set in a green card from my stash and glued them under the edges of the bloom.  Really loving the finished card which will go to a special friend at church.

Thank You Card

Hello friends.  I have a Thank You card to share today.  I made this one for our Pastor's wife and she loves purple.  I added a few pink flowers also.

ETA:  My card was one of the March Top 3 Winners at Triple B Challenge.

Top 3 Winner Badge

also one of the Top 3 at Can You Handle the Pressure.

TOP 3 Badge

For the background I used Spellbinders Stylized Trellis and embossed a panel of SU Purple Posy, then glued it to the white card base.  The sentiment is die cut with Memory Box Thank You Posh Script and layered together, then glued to the panel.  The flowers are made with Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms and Club Blooms dies.  I cut the pink flowers from lt. pink and then blended some darker pink ink on them. I arranged them in the corner and glued the leaves and buds under them.

I will add this to the Triple B Challenge - Birds, Blooms & Butterflies.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.

I used Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms dies cut in cream (flowers & buds) and then sponged them with SU Crisp Cantaloupe ink (ret.) I added rhinestones to the flower centers for a little bling.  The leaves & stems were cut from SU Soft Succulent cardstock.  I mounted them on a cream panel and a Crisp Cantaloupe mat cut with SU Countryside Corners dies.  The sentiment is stamped in SU Soft Succulent.  I mounted this panel with foam tape to a cream panel embossed with Spellbinders Dazzling Dots EF.

I made my card with two challenges in mind -
Color Throwdown - Peach, Sage Green, & Cream

and Can You Handle the Pressure - Use an embossing folder, with a twist of bling.

Thank You card

Hello friends.  I have a Thank You card to share today.  A friend requested several Thank You cards and Sympathy cards so I will have several to share.

For this card I used SSS Vine Canopy EF and inked the top (flat side) with DOI and then ran it through my machine with white cardstock.  I love the result.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Go To Greetings on a white strip and cut it to fit across the center of the panel..

I will link my card to Can You Handle the Pressure - use an embossing folder

Congratulations

Hello friends.  This is my second post today as I had to make a card for a friend who is getting married.

I used Memory Box Riverbank Large Layered Blooms for the flowers and Memory Box Exquisite Leaf Set for the leaves.  I die cut the 3 layers of the blooms and blended Pacific Point ink in the centers before gluing them together. I colored the die cut centers with lt. gray markers.  The lt. blue panel is embossed with an older Darice EF and mounted to the white card base.  The flowers were mounted with foam tape and I glued the leaves under the edges of the petals.  I cut a strip of the lt. blue card and embossed the sentiment (SU Flourishing Phrases - retired) in gold and them mounted it with foam tape.  I added to clear gold gems on the strip.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for my step-daughter who lives in Texas.

I used Spellbinders Club Blooms for the pretty flowers and leaves.  The flowers are cut from SU Seaside Spray.  I blended a darker blue ink in the centers, shaped the petals and then layered them. The yellow centers are die cut with a lt. yellow from my stash.  I also cut 3 of the small blooms from white and added the yellow centers. The leaves are cut from a Recollections green pack.  The sentiment is from an older SU set Rose Wonder, as is the die used to cut it.  I mounted the sentiments and arranged the flowers on a Sahara Sand panel embossed with SSS Spun Glass EF.  I added a thin black mat and mounted it to the white card base.
