Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.
I embossed the white panel with SU Brick & Mortar EF.  The pretty flowers and leaves are stamped with MFT Wildflowers and colored with SU Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut the flowers and leaves and mounted the flowers with foam tape.  The sentiment is from MFT Together Forever and cut with a Stitched Fishtail Flags die.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for The Color Throwdown

I love the color combo for the current Color Throwdown challenge and finally got a card made with the colors.
I used SU Woodplank background stamp (retired) in Smokey Slate ink on the white panel and then mounted it on a yellow pattern paper from my stash.  I die cut the scribble circle from SU Painted Poppies die in Smokey Slate card and mounted it with foam tape.  I die cut a stitched circle in white and stamped the sentiment from SU Peaceful Moments and then adhered it to the gray die cut.  The flowers and leaves are from SU Painted Poppies and colored with Daffodil Delight blends.  I fussy cut the leaves and used my water brush and ink from the lid of the Smokey Slate to lightly color them.  The final touch was a few grey enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Stencil Challenge - Layered Stenciling

Hello freinds.  I have another card to share that I made for the CAS Stencil Challenge - Layered Stenciling
ETA: My card was chosen as one of the Outstanding Designs at CAS Stencil for May.

This was a fun technique to try and my first time layering stencils.  I made the panel using MFT Small Brick Wall stencil and Tim Holtz Floral Layering Stencil.  I sponged Frayed Burlap DOI over a section of the brick stencil and then added flowers from the floral stencil with Peeled Paint and Candied Apple DOI.  I had to tape off sections of the floral stencil to get just the two flowers and stem.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Magnolia Blooms.  I then adhered the panel to my card base.  I really like how the card turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Recycle

Hello friends.  I am sharing a fun card I made for the recycle challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

I was inspired by Lin's card where she used recycled tissue box panel.  I have saved several tissue box panels but have never used them so I thought it was a perfect time to do that.  The green/white panels are from a Kleenex Tissue Box and I thought it was perfect to go with these pretty Simon Says Stamp Even More Spring Flowers.  I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I die cut them and mounted them with foam tape.  I was going to use the full rectangle but then decided to try something different so I cut it on an angle, matted with black card, and mounted them in opposite corners of the card.  I stamped the sentiment in the opening and added two black enamel dots.  I was pleased with the final card and will be sending it to a couple at church.

Also linking to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used the flower set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Totally Tropical

Hello friends.  It is Thursday and we have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday.  This time Shirley would like us to make our birthday cards with a tropical theme.
For my card I dug out SU Tropical Chic stamp & die set and stamped the flowers in Strawberry Slush and Crushed Curry. (I have had this set for over a year and am finally using it.)  I die cut the leaves from Wild Wasabi 4 times and placed them around the Stitched Oval die, then glued on the flowers.  The sentiment from Peaceful Moments is stamped in Strawberry Slush and the oval is mounted with foam tape on a white panel embossed with the Tufted EF (love this EF).

Be sure to check out all the lovely tropical cards by my teammates and our party guest over at Seize the Birthday and I hope you will join us in this fun challange.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you all are staying safe and healthy.  Have a wonderful day.

CAS Christmas - Winter Berries

Hello friends.  I have a Christmas card for CAS Christmas - Winter Berries.  I was looking through my dies for a different die when I came across this Gina Marie Designs die set (no name on it).  It is like the die from SU Painted Poppies but is larger and is open in the middle instead of solid.  Anyway, I used the SU die and the leaves and berries from the the Gina Marie Designs die.

I cut the "wreath" die from SU Crumb Cake and added a die cut white Stitched Circle to the center.  I stamped the sentiment from Sweet N' Sassy Poinsettias in Real Red ink and then spritzed the circle with Champagne Shimmer Paint/alcohol spary for a sparkly tint, although it doesn't show up in the photo.  I also spritzed a piece of Real Red CS and then punched the berries.  I mounted the die cut piece with foam tape on a panel embossed with SU Holly EF (retired), and then to the card base.

I will also link this up at Darnell's NBUS as I have never used this Gina Marie Designs die even though I have had it for several years.

and also to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge - Wreathed in Christmas Smiles.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you are all doing well and staying safe.

Seize the Birthday - Monochromatic

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and this time for our "Topping" option TaeEun would like us to make a monochromatic birthday card.  Of course the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.
For my card I used SU Rococo Rose cardstock and some older Blushing Bride designer paper.  I stamped the pretty daisies from Daisy Lane and the greeting in Rococo Rose ink.  I layered two daisies and added a Rococo Rose gem in the middle.  The circles are cut with SU Layering Circles dies and mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the designers and our Surprise Party Guest over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us in this fun challenge.  I will look for you in our gallery.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  Today I have an anniversary card to share.  This is for our new youth pastor and his wife at our church.
I stamped SU Birthday Blooms (approximately 4 years old) for the pretty flowers and colored it with SU Blends and Copic markers. I cut it out with my Scan and Cut.  It is mounted with foam tape.  The die cut frame and oval are from Frantic Stamper Ovals and Filigree Frame die set.  I embossed the panel behind the frame with SU Tufted EF.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Beautiful Bouquet on one of the smaller ovals in the die set and mounted it with foam tape.  I really like the finished card and hope they do also.

ETA:  My card was a top pick at the Retro Rubber Challenge #134.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a  birthday card  for a friend to share today.

I die cut a white panel with a Lil' Inker Designs cover plate and adhered it to my card base.  I mounted the white strip with foam tape after stamping the sentiment.  I stamped the flowers and leaves from SSS Delicate Flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them.  I then mounted them with foam tape also.

I followed the Fusion Card Challenge sketch.  I just used the sketch and made it a birthday card.
I am also linking my card up at CAS on Friday - use your favorite flower stamp. (most of my many stamps are of flowers and it is hard to chose a favorite, but this is one of my favorites).
For your blog

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you all are staying safe and well.
