Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a  birthday card  for a friend to share today.

I die cut a white panel with a Lil' Inker Designs cover plate and adhered it to my card base.  I mounted the white strip with foam tape after stamping the sentiment.  I stamped the flowers and leaves from SSS Delicate Flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them.  I then mounted them with foam tape also.

I followed the Fusion Card Challenge sketch.  I just used the sketch and made it a birthday card.
I am also linking my card up at CAS on Friday - use your favorite flower stamp. (most of my many stamps are of flowers and it is hard to chose a favorite, but this is one of my favorites).

Happy Birthday Poppies

Hello friends.  I hope you all are staying safe and well.
I have another birthday card to share.
I was inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge when I saw the image with the poppies and the sketch.  I have used both for my card.
I stamped my poppies from Gina K. Designs Inspired Poppies on a piece of heavy white card and  used an oval to die cut it.  I colored it with SU Poppy Parade Blends and went over the stems with a green marker.  I added a pale wash with my aqua brush and lt. blue ink around the poppies.  The  sentiment from MFT's BB Greetings Galore is stamped with Versamark Ink on the black strip and embossed with white embossing powder.  The background panel is embossed with SU Pinewood Planks EF.  I mounted the poppy panel with foam tape.

I am linking to the following challenges:
CAS Watercolor Challenge - I hope the watercolor panel counts.  I used watercolor, stamping, heat embossing and dry embossing.

Merry Christmas (2nd post today)

I actually got two Christmas cards done today. This is the second one using the sketch from Fusion Card Challenge #19, I didn't use any pink, I just went with the sketch.  It also meets the Merry Monday #78 challenge since it has a bird on it.

I used SU Whisper White, Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler CS.  The striped and green DSP is from an older Me And My Big Ideas Christmas stack.  I used Spellbinders Lacey Squares to cut the green and red squares and adhered them both with foam tape between the layers.  I hand-cut the banners from white and red CS.  The vertical Cherry Cobbler strip is embossed with the SU Petals A Plenty EF.  The image is from an old SU set Holiday Best.  I stamped it once in Cherry Cobbler ink and again in Always Artichoke ink.  I then cut that tiny cardinal and the Merry Christmas out of the red one and glued it onto the green image.  This was punched with SU Extra Large Oval punch and glued to the Cherry Cobbler Lacey Square.  That's it for my card.

I am also linking to http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/ month long challenge - Always Christmas.
