Happy Birthday Poppies

Hello friends.  I hope you all are staying safe and well.
I have another birthday card to share.
I was inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge when I saw the image with the poppies and the sketch.  I have used both for my card.
I stamped my poppies from Gina K. Designs Inspired Poppies on a piece of heavy white card and  used an oval to die cut it.  I colored it with SU Poppy Parade Blends and went over the stems with a green marker.  I added a pale wash with my aqua brush and lt. blue ink around the poppies.  The  sentiment from MFT's BB Greetings Galore is stamped with Versamark Ink on the black strip and embossed with white embossing powder.  The background panel is embossed with SU Pinewood Planks EF.  I mounted the poppy panel with foam tape.

I am linking to the following challenges:
CAS Watercolor Challenge - I hope the watercolor panel counts.  I used watercolor, stamping, heat embossing and dry embossing.

CAS Watercolor - Colorful Butterflies

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the CAS Watercolor Challenge - Colorful Butterflies.   I am just getting in before the deadline.

I used this pretty Dream Butterfly die by PoppyStamps that I won on Darnell's blog in the past.  This is the first time I have used it - thank you Darnell.  I made a watercolor section on Canson Mix Media paper with my Gansai Watercolors and then die cut the butterfly from that.  I used different colors to make the butterfly colorful and pretty. :)  I glued the die cut on vellum and fussy cut it out.  I added the body die cut from a Verve die and the sentiment from the matching stamp set.  I think the sentiment is perfect as God makes so many beautiful and colorful butterflies.

After I stamped the sentiment on the white panel I ran it through the Big Shot with the Subtle EF from SU.  The pattern paper is some older SU paper and I added a thin black mat.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate your comments.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Watercolour - Green, Orange and Brown

CAS Watercolur is celebrating their 2nd birthday and this month's challenge is to use orange, green, and brown.

I made this card for the CAS Watercolour challenge.  I stamped the image from Simon Says Stamp Mandy's Flowers on watercolor paper and colored it with my waterbrush and Distress Oxide Inks- Gathered Twigs, Frayed Burlap, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Spiced Marmalade.  I cut it with the matching die and mounted it with foam tape on a panel that is embossed with SU Subtle EF.  I then mounted that panel with foam tape to the card base.  I added a lt green enamel dot to the center of the flower.  The sentiment is from a TPC Birthday set stamped in Gathered Twigs DOI.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Wishing You a Lovely Birthday

This card will be going to a special friend.

I created my card using the splashing technique for the background panel using Victorian Velvet DI and then I colored the Pretty Pink Posh Cherry Blossoms that I stamped and die cut.  I hope this qualifies for the CAS Mix Up Challenge (color your die cuts) and also the CAS Watercolor Challenge - Using Splash Watercoloring.
I used a die that I recently got from AE and the sentiment is from PTI Vintage Linens.  I really love the Cherry Blossom stamp and die set and I colored them with Copics and mounted them with foam tape.  The white panel is mounted with foam tape also.  The card base is SU Blushing Bride which matched the distress ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

CAS Watercolor Thank You

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the CAS Watercolor Challenge - Splash Watercoloring.   I finally tried this technique as explained on the CAS Watercolor blog.

They have a link to several video tutorials.  It is easy to do and I like the final result.
I used DI Tumbled Glass and Wilted Violet inks for the splash watercolor panel.  I played around with several ideas before settling on this Impression Obsession frame and the die cut flower stem is a die from Ali Express.  I cut it apart to fit in the frame and fill up the opening.  The frame is mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from a new SU Painted Glass set.  I fussy cut the flag end and mounted it with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
