Doctor Thank You

Hello friends.  I made another thank you card for a local doctor using the free digital images MFT shared to make cards for our medical staff heroes on the front lines.  I have made quite a few using their images and they are greatly appreciated.  Thank you MFT.
I printed the image and colored it with Copics, then fussy cut it to mount with foam tape on the stitched rectangle die cut that is partially embossed with a brick wall EF.  I drew a line on the bottom and colored it with gray markers.  I used my new Cornflower Blue cardstock and ink to stamp and mat the background panel.  It is stamped with MFT All Lined Up Background stamp.  The sentiment is from MFT Greetings Galore and die cut with a die from the Blueprints 20 die set, and also mounted with foam tape.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the A Cut Above over at The Paper Players.
This fits the sketch at The Paper Players (I put the sentiment at the top though) so I will link up there.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stay safe and well.

Joy to the World

Hello friends.  I finally got a card made for CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Christmas Song.
I have been wanting to use these cute angels from Pretty Pink Posh and since it has Joy to the World as one of the sentiments, I chose to use it.  I have had them for quite a while but this is my first time using them.
I started with a piece of X-Press It Blending card and sponged on some Broken China DOI.  I flicked water on it  and then then flicked on some Perfect Pearls - my first time doing both of these techniques.  I really like the way it turned out.  I stamped the cute Angel Friends and banner and colored them with Copics.  I curved the sentiment and stamped it on the banner.  I cut them with the matching dies but ending up trimming around the angels by hand.  I mounted them with foam tape and then added a thin mat with some matching card.

I will link this to Darnell's NBUS (never before used schtuff)  April challenge as this is my frist time using this adorable stamp set and also the Perfect Pearls.

Seize the Birthday - Food and/or Drink

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time Glenda would like us to use food and/or drink on our birthday cards.
I chose food for what's a birthday without a big birthday cake with pretty flowers on it.
The cake and sentiment are from SU Happy Birthday To You.  I stamped the cake and colored it with SU Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends, and a gray for the cake stand.  I then cut it with the matching dies and mounted it with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut around the words and mounted them with foam tape also.  The pattern paper is Flirty Flamingo.  The white panel is embossed with SU Stylish Scroll EF.  I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and cake plate.  You can see it better in this photo.

Be sure to check out all the cards by the Design Team over at Seize the Birthday and I hope you will be inspired to join us.  I will look for you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Welcome cards

Hello friends.  I am sharing some cards my sister requested for new people in her neighborhood.  I sent her a picture of one before I made the other 4.  She wanted them all to be a little different.  I think she will like them.
Ooops, I didn't notice the tiny piece of paper on the bottom card on the left house when I took the picture.
Here is a close up of one of the cards.

I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Village stamps and die set, Lil' Inkers Side Stitched Rectangle dies and MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies.  I sponged the grass and sky and mounted the stamped elements with foam tape.

I will link my cards over at Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 75 - Spectacular skies.  My sky is bright and cheerful so hopefully that counts.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Happy Mother's Day Mini Album

I was requested to make a mini Mother's Day Album for my grandson's step-daughter and this is what I came up with.  Lot of photos.  Hope you enjoy looking.
I love how the cover turned out.  The flowers are made with an MFT rose dies and the leaves are from a SU die.  The sentiment is cut with the Cricut and layered 3 times.  The binding is punched with an EK Success punch and embossed with SU Mosaic EF.  The papers are from the Chateau 12x12 pad by CraftSmart (I think I purchased it at Michael's a while back).

Inside cover with a pocket. Another rose and MFT leafy scroll.  Love is from the Cricut cartridge.

Page 1.  Another pocket with a heart die by MFT.

Page 2.  New is MFT dies and Mama is from the Cricut cartridge.

Page 3.  MFT alphabet dies.

Page 4  - another pocket page.  The banner die is by MFT and the stamp is an older one I had.

Page 5 - Pocket page with a saying from a baby paper pad and star stickers.

Page 6 - Another saying from the baby paper pad.

Page 7 - Another saying from the baby paper pad.

Page 8 - Another rose and leaf die by MFT.

I made the inside back cover with a pocket for photos from her first Mother's Day.

Back cover with my Handmade for you stamp.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my mini album.  The book is 7" x 5-1/2" and will hold quite a few 3-1/2 x 5" photos.

Happy Birthday Poppies

Hello friends.  I hope you all are staying safe and well.
I have another birthday card to share.
I was inspired by the Fusion Card Challenge when I saw the image with the poppies and the sketch.  I have used both for my card.
I stamped my poppies from Gina K. Designs Inspired Poppies on a piece of heavy white card and  used an oval to die cut it.  I colored it with SU Poppy Parade Blends and went over the stems with a green marker.  I added a pale wash with my aqua brush and lt. blue ink around the poppies.  The  sentiment from MFT's BB Greetings Galore is stamped with Versamark Ink on the black strip and embossed with white embossing powder.  The background panel is embossed with SU Pinewood Planks EF.  I mounted the poppy panel with foam tape.

I am linking to the following challenges:
CAS Watercolor Challenge - I hope the watercolor panel counts.  I used watercolor, stamping, heat embossing and dry embossing.

Blue Roses

This is my second post today. Scroll down for our Special Seize the Birthday Challenge.

Hello crafty friends.  I have a birthday card with blue roses to share today.  Blue is my favorite color and I think these roses from Sunny Studio Everything's Rosy look so pretty in shades of blue.
I stamped the flowers in SU Bashful Blue, Marina Mist (both retired) and Blueberry Bushel.  The sentiment is also stamped in Blueberry Bushel on an MFT Stitched Fishtail Flag die.  The leaves are stamped in Pistachio Pudding (retired) Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke (retired).  The lattice oval is from Spellbinders Floral Oval die set.  I die cut the oval and then embossed the panel with SU Ornate Floral EF, I thought it would go with the roses. I taped the oval back in the panel and added a piece of lt. green pattern paper behind it.  I mounted the embossed panel with foam tape.  The flowers and sentiment are also mounted with foam tape.

Salute to the Heroes

Hello friends.  Seize the Birthday is doing a special challenge to honor our heroes during this World Wide Pandemic.   We  hope you will join us and share the cards you have been making for our heroes.
I have made a card for my granddaughter's friend's mom who works in a Covic 19 ward at her hospital.  I know she will appreciate the thoughts.  I am also making other cards to share.
My Favorite Things was kind enough to share their BB nurse and doctor images for anyone that wanted to download them and make cards for the heroes. (THANK YOU MY FAVORITE THINGS).
For my card I used the nurse image.  After printing her, I fussy cut her, colored her with Copics and mounted her with foam tape.  I made her a blonde as the nurse it is for is blonde and I know she is a  blessing to all those she serves.  My layout is based on Mojo Monday Sketch 534.  I used some pattern paper from my stash.  The sentiment is from an older MFT set, stamped on a panel die cut with a stitched rectangle die and mounted with foam tape.  The nurse is also mounted with foam tape.  Here is a photo of the inside of the card.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the design team and I hope you will join us in this special challenge.

Edited to add a few more cards I made for heroes.

Happy Birthday for JUGS

Hello friends.  I hope you all are staying safe and healthy.  I have a birthday card I made for a friend using the challenge at Just Us Girls - Square Card with at least one square shape.
I cut a Whisper White square card base and added a square panel slightly smaller.  I embossed the panel with SU Mosaic EF.  I used 2 stitched square dies to cut a square frame and mounted it  diagonally with foam tape.  The flowers and sentiment are from SU Happy Birthday to You (a Sale-a-bration set).  I also used the matching dies to die cut the pretty flowers and colored them with Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I added some blue to the tiny sprigs.  After stamping the sentiment I fussy cut around it and mounted it with foam tape.  I thought about embossing it in white on black card but thought it would take away from the delicate look.  I added yellow rhinestones to the flower centers to finish the card.

I am also sharing at The Flower Challenge - Spring Flowers

Seize the Birthday - Spring Fling

Hello Friends.  We have a new challenge for you at Seize the Birthday and this time our "Topping" option is Spring Fling.

This was a perfect time to use some of my many flower stamps but I chose this little gardener (MFT Loads of Thanks) who is getting ready to plant her spring flowers.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored her with Copics, cut her with the matching die and mounted her with foam tape.  I made the background with an older grass stamp and cloud border die.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set.  I added a thin black mat to make the panel stand out more.

Be sure to check out all the lovely cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to join us.

Thank you so much for stopping by.   I hope you all are staying safe and healthy during this trying time.

Thinking of You

This is a card I made for a friend who was recently in the hospital but is now home and doing better (no virus - for other health reasons). I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her and hope this cheers her a little.
The flowers are Sweet 'n Sassy Spring Tulips colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends, and die cut with a SU Stitched So Sweetly die.  The DSP and mat are also Daffodil Delight.  The sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia set and die cut with a die with the Stitched Rectangles dies.  Both panels are mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a safe and blessed day.

Cards for Nurses

Hello friends.  There are lots of cards in blog land for our heroes in different areas of service, not just medical but all frontline workers.  I am making cards for our medical staff heroes and thought I would share a couple of them on my blog. I know several nurses who are working hard and I wanted the heroes to know they are appreciated and this is one way I can do that.   Thank you to My Favorite Things for gifting us with these digital images.
For this card I colored the image with Copics and SU Balmy Blue Blends and used SU DSP in Balmy Blue.

For this card I colored the image with Copics and SU Mint Macaron Blends.  The DSP is Mint Macron also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stay safe.

Happy Birthday for JUGS Photo Week

I am sharing a card I made for a friend using the challenge at Just Us Girls.
I had the embossed panel on my table and decided to die cut an oval to showcase the pretty flowers from Sweet 'n Sassy Spring Tulips.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with SU Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut the tulips and mounted them with foam tape in the opening which I had sponged with light blue ink.  The sentiment is from SU Very Vintage (retired).  I mounted it with foam tape in the center and glued the ends.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you all are staying safe and healthy.  I am getting lots of cards made, which I enjoy doing.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn
