Happy Birthday in Navy & Teal

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I made using the Color Hues Challenge - Navy & Teal.
I really thought on this one and finally settled on these pretty blooms by Pinkfresh Studio - Floral Daydream set (stamps, dies, stencils). This is my first time using them and I really like them.  After stamping, I used the stencils with Bermuda Bay ink (flower) and navy for the leaves.  After cutting it, I mounted it with foam tape to a white panel cut with a pretty scallop die (Temu).  I mounted this panel with foam tape to a navy panel cut with Pinkfresh Studio Sparkling Diamonds cut plate - it doesn't show up that well in the photo.  The sentiment is from SSS Daisy Frame stamp & die set.  I used the die to cut it out after stamping in black ink.  I also mounted it with strips of foam tape. I added a few rhinestones for bling and mounted the panel to a white card base and my card was done.

Sharing at Color Hues
and also at Just Us Girls - die week (I used several dies)

and to Darnell's NBUS

Just Us Girls #834

Hello friends.  I am sharing a card I made for the JUGS #834 Challenge - CASE a DT

ETA: Thanks to JUGS for the Shout Out on my card.

The DT have some wonderful cards but I was drawn to Bobby's beautiful card and made my card inspired by her card.

I like the way Bobby had the flowers in the frame and ink blended the background.  I used Spellbiners Open Lace Frame and cut the Decorative Lattice in the center.  I blended Bundled Sage DOI in the center of the card base and them glued the frame over it.  The flowers are from Waffle Flower Tulips colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends.  I fussy cut the image and mounted it with foam tape over the trellis frame.  I masked each word on the sentiment and stamped Wishes under Birthday so it would fit the space better, fussy cut it, and then mounted it with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Combining Old and New

Hello friends.  I was inspired by a couple of challenges to create my card today.
Just Us Girls - Die Week: Forgotten Favorite and Triple B Challenge - inspired by the white daisies in their mood board.

I had these MFT Uspsy Daisy Dies out for my card the other day and thought they would be perfect for these two challenges.  I have had them for over 12 years and love them.  I thought they would be perfect for the white daisies in the Trible B mood board so I cut 3 of them and layered them together, adding the yellow centers.  I added some Wink of Stella to the centers but it doesn't show up well in the photo.  I embossed a panel of Beige cardstock from a Recollections pack with my new Altenew Crisscross Blooms EF and glued it to a white card base.  The stem and leaves are cut using Simon Says Stamp Layered Perky Flower - I clipped the blooms off and added the white daisies.  The sentiment is from SU Go To Greetings (ret.) and mounted with foam tape.

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS #88 Mutual Appreciation Celebration as this is the first time using the Altenew EF. Be sure to check out Darnell's post on this wonderful challenge.  She has done an excellent job inspiring all of us.

Thanks so much for topping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have had a busy week as we had Vacation Bible School at church and I was one of the craft helpers.  Today is the first time I have had to make a card and I was inspired by two challenges:  Color Hues - Pink & Turquoise and Just Us Girls - Dies, Butterfly.  This is the card I came up with using some new to me dies.
The pretty butterfly is from Scrapbook.com Heirloom Butterflies.  I cut the bottom layer from turquoise paper in my stash and the top layer from SU Pretty in Pink.  I added a little color to the middle of the pink layer, then glued it to the turquoise layer after gluing the black body on.  I mounted the butterfly to a panel of SU Smoky Slate embossed with a Paint Texture EF.  I added a thin mat of Basic Gray and them mounted it to my white card base.  The sentiment is from my new Spellbinders Layered Happy Birthday cut from black and turquoise.  I thought about adding some pink enamel dots but left it as is and I like the finished card.

Also linking to Darnell's NBUS challenge as this is the first time using these dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Last Anniversary Card for May

Hello friends.  This if my final May Anniversary card.
I was inspired by Gail Ellis' card on Pintrest, the blue one in the middle (blue IS my favorite color).  I changed a few things to make it my own,  the flower dies and Bloom Boutique pattern paper are the same, but I used an older Fiskars border punch for the white and blue panels and embossed the white panel with SU Cross-hatch EF (ret). The flowers are cut from SU Hydrangea Hue using SU Pierced Blooms (ret.),  I added Altenew Black Enamel Gems to the centers of the flowers.  The leaves are cut from SU Garden Green. The sentiment is from an older Verve set and mounted with foam tape.  I really like the finished card and I think the recipients will also.  Thanks for the inspiration Gail.

I will add this to Just Us Girls - Flowers

Happy Birthday to You

Hello friends. I have a new birthday card to share today.  This one is for Just Us Girls Challenge - Flowers.  You know that is my favorite kind of card to make.

I just received some new dies from Brass & Bliss and couldn't wait to play with them.  I love their Basket Weave Cover Die and cut it from SU Basic Beige and mounted it to a white card base.  The flowers were cut from SU Pumpkin Pie with Brass & Bliss Build a Bloom Clematis Die.  It has 3 sizes of blooms and I cut 2 of the largest die and layered them for a fuller bloom.  I also doubled the two medium blooms.  I added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby), colored with a brown alcohol marker. to the center of each flower.  The leaves from another die set was cut from SU Granny Apple Green.  After shaping the flower petals, I arranged them on the bottom left corner and then glued the leaves under the petals.  I had the pressed sentiment already done so added it with some foam tape and my card was done.  I love the finished card and will be using these dies again soon.

I am linking to Just Us Girls Challenge #823,  Word Week - Flowers

and to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time using these new dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for JUGS

Hello friends.  I have a new card I made for the JUGS Challenge - copy a designer's card.
ETA:  My card was Winner of the Week at JUGS.

There are so many lovely cards but I was inspired by Bobby's lovely card with the flowers tucked under the strip and the embossing.

For my card I die cut several of SSS Jaunty Stem flowers from Flirty Flamingo (flowers) and Granny Apple Green (stems/leaves).  I blended Flirty Flamingo ink in the centers of the larger flowers and on the bottom of the buds.  Instead of using the single flowers, I layered two together for more fullness and liked them better.  I colored the white dotted centers with a yellow marker.  After putting the flowers together, I tucked them behind a SSS Garden Fence die cut from white and the same lt. gray as the embossed background (Spellbinders Dazzling Diamonds EF).  I mounted the flowers with foam tape and glued the stems down, then glued the fence on, and mounted to a white card base.  The sentiment is from SSS/Paper Rose Studio Stamptember 2025 - Thankful Florals stamp & die set and glued on the fence.  I really like the finished card

I will also add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used these SSS dies and the stamp/die set,

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

JoAnn

Another Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have another April anniversary card to share today. This will also be going to a couple at church.

I was inspired by this card by Lea Lawson and loved the colors so this is what I made.  After die cutting the pretty Altenew Darling Dahlias, I blended lt. pink ink to the centers before gluing together.  I blended lt. green ink to the leaves.  I cut a piece of SU Basic Gray with Pinkfresh Studio's Sparkling Diamonds cut plate and added it to the white card base.  I used the two label dies from SU Peace on Earth dies to cut from white and SU Bubble Bath.  I placed the white label back in the die to cut it down some as there was too much white around the pink.  I embossed the sentiment in white on the pink label and glued them together.  I mounted the label with foam tape, added small pieces of foam tape under the flowers and adhered them around the label, then glued the leaves around the flowers.  I added fancy rhinestones to the centers of the flowers and 3 small rhinestones on the gray layer.  I really love the finished card

I will add this to the Triple B Challenge

and to Just Us Girls _ die week (I think my flowers are springy)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Seize the Birthday - Main Color of Green

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and I am the hostess for this challenge.  I chose to use green as the main color since St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner.  It can always be our "Anything Goes" for a birthday - the choice is yours.

I embossed a panel of SU Garden Green with Altenew Textured Tiles EF and then mounted it to the white card base.  I used my new SU Simply Beautiful set and stamped the flower and leaves on white with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then blended DOI Squeezed Lemonade in the center of the flower and DOI Bundled Sage on the leaves.  I don't have the dies yet, so I fussy cut the flower and leaves and then mounted them with foam tape to the green panel.  Then sentiment is stamped and die cut using Gina K. Designs Elegant Thoughts.  I mounted it with thin strips of foam tape.  I added Spellbinders Black Dimensional Dots for a little bling and my card was done.

Check out all the different cards by the DT and out Party Guests over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge.  Hope to see you in our gallery.

I will send this to Just Us Girls Challenge - Emboss

Card for Two Challenges

Hello friends.  I was inspired by two challenges for my birthday card today.  Color Hues - Red & Gray and Just Us Girls - Use a Coverplate Die.

ETA:  My card was the winner at Color Hues.

I used Pinkfresh Studios Sparkling Diamonds Coverplate to cut a panel of SU Smokey Slate, trimmed the edges and mounted it on a white card base.  I then used foam tape to mount a white panel cut with a die from Spellbinders Emerald Cut Labels and Tag set. I used Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies to cut the flowers from SU Real Red and the leaves from SU Basic Gray.  I inked the edges of the flowers with SU Cherry Cobbler before assembling them.  For the large flower I added another layer using the smaller flower, then added the centers cut from white and Smokey Slate.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Go To Greetings, fussy cut it and mounted it with foam tape and my card was done.

Silver and Teal Christmas

Hello friends.  I have a new Christmas card that I made for several challenges.

ETA:  My card was one of the top 3 at CYHTP.

and also  was a Runner Up at Color Hues.

I used a new to me die from Spellbinders - Simon Hurley Vintage Layered Ornaments.  I die cut the plain ornament once from white, and the detailed ornament once with silver glitter, and once with SSS Audrey Blue.  I shaded the edges of the blue ornament with Bermuda Bay ink, glued to the white base ornament and then filled all the openings with the pieces from the silver glitter ornament (a little tedious but it looks great).  The ornament toppers and hanging strings are also cut from silver glitter.  I mounted the ornaments with foam tape to a white panel embossed with Spellbinders Scattered Christmas EF.  The pine branches are cut twice from white using an older Diemond Die.  The sentiment from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink, cut with the matching die, and then mounted with foam tape.  I added a thin Bermuda Bay mat and then glued to the white card base.  I also added a clear rhinestone gem to the center of each ornament.

I will add this to Color Hues Challenge -  Teal and Silver

and to Just Us Girls Challenge Word Week - Winter.
and Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge (did not use the optional theme)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Altenew Garden Cosmos

Hello friends.  I am sharing a new birthday card today.  I used Altenew's Garden Cosmos dies again for this card.

My card received a Shout Out on JUGS.

When I saw the JUGS challenge to CASE a designer's card and then saw Bobby's beautiful floral card, I knew just what I waned to do.  (thanks for the inspiration Bobby).
This is my second card using these new dies from Altenew and I love playing with them.  I die cut them in white and then blended SU Peach Parfait and Calypso Coral inks to the centers and then layered the blooms together, adding a die cut brown center to them.  I blended DOI Rustic Wilderness on a white scrap and then die cut the stems from that.  I die cut a Kraft scalloped panel to mount the flowers on, gluing the stems first and then the flowers where I waned them.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set, which I use often as I like the font, and mounted with foam tape. The Kraft panel is then mounted to a white card base. I love the finished card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today.  I saw several challenges that I was inspired by so I made a card that fit all 4 of them.

ETA:  My card was chosen as A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

This is my first time using Altenew's Cute Open Rose die.  I die cut the flowers and leaves from white and blended SU Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral on the flower layers and Rustic Wilderness DOI on the leaves.  I glued the layers together and added the centers cut from Crumb Cake and colored the bottom layer with a brown marker.  The white circle was cut with a stitched circle die and embossed with SU Subtle EF (ret.) for a little texture.  After gluing the circle to the Soft Succulent card panel (Tasteful Textile EF), I glued the flowers and leaves to the circle element.  The sentiment is cut twice with Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Poe Script die.  I layered them for a little extra dimension.  I really love the finished card.

First is The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge - the center row down.

and The Flower Challenge - sketch challenge

and to JUGS challenge - die week #791

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
