Anniversary Card for my Sister & BIL

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for my Sister & Brother-in-law whose anniversary is this week.

I was inspired by a card on Pinterest but made a few minor changes.  I used Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms dies for the flower and foliage cutting from 2 shades of blue card and 2 shades of green.  I also die  cut the small leaf branches from gold foil and added gold foil centers to the blooms.  The top is cut with Concord & 9th Festive Corner Cuts Dies and then cut with Concord & 9th Basket Weave Card Front Die for the bottom portion.  I added a layer of shiny lt. blue card under the cutout section. The sentiment is from Just Rite Festive Sentiments - an older set I have had for a while and use a lot.  It is die cut with a stitched banner die and mounted with foam tape.

Happy Birthday in Kraft & Yellow

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made using the colors at the current Color Hues Challenge of Kraft & Yellow.

I die cut the flowers from a lt. yellow (Recollections) using an older MFT Sunflower die set.  I cut 6 layers of the smaller flower in the set and layered 2 each for my sunflowers.  I shaped them with my stylus to give a little dimension.  The centers are cut from SU Crumb Cake (kraft), as are the leaves, which are from a Spellbinders die set.  I added the veins to the leaves with a dk. brown marker and also shaped them with my fingers before gluing under the flowers.  The white background is embossed with SU Dainty Diamonds EF (retired).  The sentiment panel and mat are cut with SU Countryside Corners dies.  I trimmed the kraft mat down a little before adding to the card with foam tape.  The sunflowers are also mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Happy Thoughts (retired).

I will also link this to Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies

Repetitive Die Cut

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nancy has chosen the "Topping" option of Repetitive Die Cut.  Hope you join us in this fun challenge.

For my repetitive die cut I used a leaf die from Spellbinders Club Blooms die set. I was thinking of using it all over the background like faux embossing, but after I had the four die cuts in each corner, I liked it and stopped there.  The pretty pink bloom, green leaves, stems & buds are all from the same Spellbinders set, which I love using.  I die cut an MFT stitched oval in white and a scalloped mat in the same lt. pink as the buds.  I stamped the sentiment and then arranged the other die cuts along the bottom.  I did sponge some Blushing Bride ink in the center of the flower and then added a fancy rhinestone to finish it.  The oval panel is mounted with foam tape.

Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today, I hope you like it.

I used Spellbinders Hello You Floral dies for the pretty blooms and die cut them in Flirty Flamingo (small flower) and Sweet Sorbet (large flower, bud, and other small flowers).  The stem was cut from Pear Pizzazz and the leaves from Wild Wasabi and then they were all layered together.  I placed them on a Poppy Stamps Penelope Pinpoint Frame - this is a new die and the first time I have used it.  I love the detail on it.  The sentiment is from an older stamp that I got at a stamp show several years ago and it does not have a name on it.  I die cut it with an Altenew Featured Sentiments Die Set (it has different sizes of dies).  I mounted the sentiment with foam tape and the whole panel was glued to a white card base.

Seize the Birthday - Inspired by a Book

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda has chosen the "Topping" option of Be Inspired by A Book. Of course, if you don't choose the topping option,  the only requirement is that it has to be for a birthday.

I hardly ever read a book so I researched the title of some books and found The Sun Also Rises - not sure what it is about but I liked the title so I picked out seveal stamps and dies that I thought would make a good scene and showed the sun rising.  The stamped images are from a retired SU set Oceanfront and the black die cuts are from SU Paradise Palms (ret.).  I die cut a framed using 2 stitched rectangle dies and stamped it with a woodgrain stamp.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Artistically Inked and mounted the frame with foam tape.  The scene is made with the panel cut from the center of the frame  die cut and glued to the card base.

I will also link to Tic Tac Toe - my card fits the top row across and the middle row down.

Be sure to check out all the team's cards and see how they were inspired by a book.

Seize the Birthday - Circle/Circles

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen has chosen the "Topping" option of Circle/Circles.  We also have a new Surprise Party Guest joining us for July and August - Isabella from Izzy Scraps.

I used all Stampin' Up products for this card - Night of Navy for the background panel and leaves; Merry Merlot ink for sentiment (from a retired set), die cut with a circle Stitched Shapes die, and Merry Merlot cardstock on which I embossed the larger flower from Irresistible Blooms (SU On-Line Exclusive) with white embossing powder.  The white panel is die cut with a circle die from the Irresistible Blooms die set and then embossed with one of the new 3D EF which is an On-Line Exclusive.  I mounted the die cut sentiment and the flower with foam tape.  The leaves are glued under the petals.

I am linking to the Color Hues challenge as I used their current colors of Merlot & Navy.

Seize the Birthday - Use a Number

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Cathy has chosen the "Topping" option to Use a Number.  Remember if you are not into the "topping" option, it is always "anything goes" as long as it is for a birthday.

I made this card for my Great-Granddaughter who will be 20 soon and her favorite color is pink.  The flower, buds and leaves are cut with Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms and Club Blooms dies.  I used Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, Powder Pink (ret) and Pretty in Pink (ret) cardstock.  The sentiment is cut in Flirty Flamingo using Poppy Stamps Vintage Happy Birthday die.  20 is cut using a retired SU set.  The white panel is embossed with SU Absolutely Argyle EF (also retired).  I added a clear rhinestone to the center of the flower and mounted it with foam tape, then glued the leaves and buds under the petals.

and also Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with dies (I used a lot of dies on this one).

Color Hues - Orange & Slate Grey

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card I made for the Color Hues Challenge - Orange & Slate Gray.

I used Spellbinders Club Blooms dies for my flowers and leaves.  I cut the flowers from ivory cardstock and blended Pumpkin Pie ink in the centers before layering them together.  I cut the leaf sprigs from SU Basic Gray and the other leaves from SU Gray Granite.  Happy Birthday is cut from Gray Granite and layered on a die cut ivory shadow using Memory Box Happy Birthday Posh Script.  The striped Pumpkin Pie paper is an old piece I had in my stash and I embossed it with the new SU Cross Hatch EF but it doesn't show up very well on the pattern paper.  I mounted it to an ivory card base and then mounted the flowers with foam tape.  I glued the leaves under the blooms and then glued the sentiment on the bottom.  I really like the way it turned out.

Congratulations

Hello friends.  This is my second post today as I had to make a card for a friend who is getting married.

I used Memory Box Riverbank Large Layered Blooms for the flowers and Memory Box Exquisite Leaf Set for the leaves.  I die cut the 3 layers of the blooms and blended Pacific Point ink in the centers before gluing them together. I colored the die cut centers with lt. gray markers.  The lt. blue panel is embossed with an older Darice EF and mounted to the white card base.  The flowers were mounted with foam tape and I glued the leaves under the edges of the petals.  I cut a strip of the lt. blue card and embossed the sentiment (SU Flourishing Phrases - retired) in gold and them mounted it with foam tape.  I added to clear gold gems on the strip.

Happy Birthday for HLS

Hello friends.  I have another birthday card to share today.

I had this blue paper on my table and the white strips from a Spellbinders die and decided to make a card with them.  I glued 3 strips horizontally and vertically starting from the lower left corner.  After adding the strips, I embossed the panel with SU Subtle EF (retired - but I love using it).  Then I had to decide which flower to use and settle on Honey Bee Lovely Layers Anemone.  I already had the leaves and bud cut from Pear Pizzazz card so I die cut the flower layers and bud from white and then blended Pacific Point ink in the centers of the layers and on the bottom of the bud.  I shaped the petals with my stylus and then glued them together.  I glued the flower in the lower left corner and glued the leaves under the edges of the petals.  I decided to add the pretty bud and like the way it turned out.  I die cut the sentiment with Memory Box Happy Birthday Posh Script die but did not use the shadow die as it did not need it.

Happy Anniversary for FMS

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for a couple at church using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

ETA:  My card was chosen as one of the Princess Picks at FMS. Thank you Karren.

I used Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms die set, cutting the large flower and 3 small flowers from white and then blending SU Tahitian Tide ink in the centers.  The small buds are cut from Tahitian Tide Cardstock.  The leaves and stems are cut from a scrap of lt. green on my desk.  I mounted these to a panel die cut with a SU Scallop Contours die.  I stamped the sentiment from SU Celebrating You.  I glued a strip of Tahitian Tide Pattern Paper across the card base and then mounted the die cut panel with foam tape.  The large flower is also mounted with foam tape.  I really like the finished card and hope you do also.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have another birthday card to add to my stash as I am always needing them.

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Sparkling Diamonds Cover Plate Die for the lt. blue background, I think it is so pretty.  The flowers and leaves are cut with PTI Into The Blooms - Dahlia; cut from paper from my stash.  I cut 2 of the smallest layer for the small flower and then inked the edges of all the petals before gluing them together.  I added rhinestone gems (Hobby Lobby) to the centers.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set and die cut with Honey Bee Scallop A2 Honey Cuts.  I mounted the sentiment panel with foam tape and glued the flowers and leaves on opposite corners.

I will link this to the following challenges:

New Christmas Card

Hello friends.  It is never too early to start making Christmas cards for next year so I have made a card with a new to me die, Tim Holtz Seasonal Sketch,  I saw so many pretty cards on Pinterest made with this die, so naturally I had to get it.  I didn't get a chance to use it on my cards for this year but will definitely be using it a lot in 2023.

I started with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel of white card stock and blended Pine Needles DOI over the lower section blended up to the upper left.  I then embossed this panel with Spellbinders Loops EF and mounted it to the card base.  I die cut the flower layers from pink and gold foil and glued them together.  The leaves are cut from green card by Recollections from Michael's, and gold foil.  I glued the layers together and then snipped them apart to place them where I wanted to under the pretty flowers (poinsettias).  Impression Obsession Peace die is cut from gold foil and glued to the top section.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used this die set.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  This is for my granddaughter.  Her birthday is in a couple of weeks, in fact, I have several family birthdays in January and have several more to make.

The flower and leaves are from PTI Into the Blooms Dahlia.  I cut the flower from SU Sweet Sorbet and the leaves from SU Soft Succulent.   I shaped the flower petals and then glued the layers together.  I added a gold glitter gem to the center.  I glued  thin strips of gold foil to the Sahara Sand card panel and angled the ends.  I flicked specks with the Sweet Sorbet Blend marker by tapping it against the lid of the marker.  The sentiment is from SU Framed Florets.

Cowboy Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for my twin brother.  He grew up working on ranches and riding horses and I know he will love this card.  He is still a cowboy. 😀

I die cut the image (Paper Rose Stockman with Horse die) from black cardstock and mounted it on a white panel that I had blended Distress Oxide Ink over.  I used Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, and Spiced Marmalade to resemble a sunset sky.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set.  It is a quick card but perfect for my brother.
