A New Birthday Card

Hello friends.  I was inspired by Trina's beautiful card here (Thank You Trina) and wanted to make a similar card for a friend as I did have some of the Memory Box dies she used and I love the blue color. It is not an exact copy of Trina's but was heavily inspired by her card.

I used SU Boho Blue card and embossed it with SU Timber EF (ret.).  I mounted it to a white card base.  The white panel is cut with Memory Box Fringed Scallop Frame Set using the next to the largest die and mounted with foam tape.  The pretty flower was made using Memory Box Graceful Peony Blossom die.   I cut from Mixed Media paper and blended Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky DOI on them.  I glued them together following the diagram on the package.  It cuts 11 pieces so it was a little tedious to put together.  The leaves were cut from green card stock with another Memory Box die,  I blended a little ink on them for dimension and glued then under the peony blossom which was added with foam tape.  The sentiment is from The Greetery Arched Sentiments.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Food and/or Drink

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda would like to see Food and/or Drink on our cards, of course it can be anything goes as longs as it is for a birthday.  I would like to welcome Karen Letchworth who is joining us as our Surprise Party Guest for the next two months.

I was looking through my stamps to find one with food and found this older SU stamp set Sweet as A Peach and decided to use it.  I used SU Peekaboo Peach (ret.) to stamp the 3 peaches, stamping them twice.  I stamped the leaves twice with Granny Apple Green ink.  I die cut the peaches & leaves with the matching dies and then had to decide how I wanted to use them.  I had recently received this frame stamp & die set by the Greetery, Sweetest Frames, and decided to use it  to place the peaches on.  I stamped it and die cut with the matching dies, then stamped the sentiment from the Sweet as A Peach set.  The pattern paper was laying on my table from another project and I thought it went perfect with the peaches.  I mounted the frame with foam tape and then glued the peaches on the bottom right corner.  I added pieces of foam tape under the parts not on the frame.  There were small flowers in the stamp set but I decided to die cut some small white flowers with Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms set.  The centers were cut from white and inked with Peekaboo Peach ink.  The leaves were from a cluster in the stamp set and I cut them apart to glue under the flowers.  I really like the finished card - thanks Glenda for a fun challenge.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous food/drink cards by the team and our guests over at Seize the Birthday and join in our fun challenge.

I will also link to AAA Birthday #75 - summer birthday.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Best Day Because It's Your Birthday

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a young one at church.  Her birthday is on Valentine's Day so I thought my new Sunny Studio Bighearted Bears with their heart balloons would be perfect for her card.

I stamped 3 of the bears with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with SU Blends - Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo and Bubble Bath for the balloons & roses.  I used Lt. Basic Black & Smokey Slate for the bears.  I blended Balmy Blue ink over Taylored Expressions Cloud Border Die for the sky area; Pear Pizzazz for the grassy area and a little Crumb Cake for the walking path.  I also stamped some grass sprigs along the grassy border.  After die cutting the images, I mounted the bears & balloons with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment from an older SU set in the sky area.  I mounted this panel to a Poppy Parade panel cut with a Crimped Frame Die by The Greetery, then to the white card base.

I will link to the Double D Challenge since they are featuring hearts.

and to Darnell's NBUS (first time using the new stamp & die set)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Two More Christmas Cards

Hello friends.  I am slowly getting my Christmas cards done and have two more to share today.  Both of these were inspired by several cards I saw on Pinterest using The Greetery's Big Beautiful Bow. I cannot find the original cards.

My first card uses different dies, sentiment and embossing folder.  The original card used a different big bow die and greenery dies, a different background and sentiment. The layout and colors are based on the card I saw.
For my card I embossed the white panel with SU Exposed Brick EF and mounted it to a Blushing Bride panel, then to the white card base.  I cut the bow die from Blushing Bride and inked the centers before gluing the pieces together. The foliage is from different dies and I am not sure which ones I used.  The sentiment is from SU Brightest Glow (ret.).

This card  was inspired by one of Bette Manning's cards and is almost the same except for the foliage dies.  The white panel is cut with The Greetery's Herringbone Parquet Die and mounted to a SU Pear Pizzazz green panel.  The bow is cut from SU Real Red and layered together.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Celebrate

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Nancy wants us to use the word "Celebrate" on our cards.

I used The Greetery Balloon Bouquet Stamps & Dies for the pretty balloons and Birthday Blooms Stamp & Dies for the word Celebrate.  The background is embossed with Spellbinders Balloons Banners EF.  I stamped the large balloon in Soft Sea Foam ink and then used the separate stamps and inks to stamp in the pretty flower bouquet.  I have to admit that I had to do several balloons before I got it lined up right but it is really pretty when finished.  The other balloons are die cut from white card that I ink blended with the same inks as the stamped flowers.  I die cut the little white accent and glued it on the balloons.  The pink balloons are glued to the embossed panel and the lt. green balloon is mounted with foam tape.  The smaller sentiment is from SU Cutest Cows and mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the great cards by the Design Team and our Party Guests over at STB.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

Birthday Card for a Friend

Hello friends.  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a friend.  I hope she likes it.

The red flower is cut with MFT Bold Blooms and the leaves are SSS Grand Corner Leaves.  I cut 2 of the largest flower, layered them, and added a swirly gem from Queen & Co. The Balmy Blue panel is cut with SU Stitched Greenery die and mounted to the white card base.   The white panel is cut with The Greetery Deco Frames Dies and stamped with a sentiment from The Greetery Arched Sentiments

JOY Christmas Card

Hello friends.  I am working on Christmas cards and have a new one to share today.

I embossed a white panel with my new Hexi Snowflake EF from Spellbinders and then die cut some white poinsettias from Spellbinders Holiday Blooms.  I layered the poinsettias and added 3 clear rhinestones to the center of each one.  The greenery is also from the same die set cut from a Recollections green card pack.  I mounted the poinsettias with foam tape and glued the greenery under the edges.  I used The Greetery Abundant Joy die to cut the sentiment from white and green, then mounted it with foam tape.  I really like the finished card and will be making more of them, maybe in red and white.

Spring Florals for STB

Hello Friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Linda wants to see Spring Floral on our cards.  Of course, this is right up my alley as I love making floral cards (which 90% of my cards are).😉

For my card I used a new to me floral set form Newton's Nook callked Easter Lily (very appropriate since Easter is this Sunday).  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  I fussy cut the image as I did not have a die for it.  The sentiment is from The Greetery Arched Sentiments and cut with the matching die.  I mounted the sentiment and flowers with foam tape to a white panel die cut with Sunny Studios Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace (scalloped frame) along with Sunny Studios Frilly Frames Lattice (inner section).  I saw this card by Lin and love the lattice frame look.  The frame was mounted to a light green panel and then to a white card base.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS challenge as this is my first time using this stamp set.

Seize the Birthday - Hot Pink & Lime

Hello friends.  Happy Thursday, it is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Shirley has chosen the colors of Hot Pink & Lime for our "Topping" option this time.

For the hot pink flowers I used SU Medium Daisy Punch (ret.) and punched 6 daisies, layering 2 for each flower.  I shaped the petals with my fingers before gluing them together.  I then added a white enamel dot to the center of each flower.  I die cut the leaves from white with a die from Spellbinders Club Blooms and inked them with SU Parakeet Party ink. The sentiment is from SU Artistically Inked stamp set.  I flagged the left end and then blended a little of the green ink around the edges to help it stand out from the white background. I mounted the sentiment with foam tape to a background die cut with The Greetery's Herringbone Parquet Die.  I just received this die and was anxious to use it.  It has a woodgrain texture to the slats and I love the way it looks.

I will also link to NBUS as this is the first time I have used my new die.

Birthday Wishes for The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I had to play in the The Paper Players challenge this week, which is Blooms, as this is my favorite kind of card to make.

ETA:  Yea, my card was chosen as A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

I used Spellbinder's Magnolia Blooms (love this set and have used it several times) for the pretty blooms.  I die cut the solid bottom layer from white and sponged pink ink where the flowers are.  The top die cut layer has solid leaves so I masked the flower part and sponged green ink over the leaves, I then glued the two layers together and mounted it with foam tape on a panel cut with my new Paper to Ink Border Bling: Tin Stitched Die.  Birthday is from The Greetery Birthday Blooms stamp and die set.  Wishes is from a retired SU set and both are mounted with foam tape.  This panel is mounted to the card front and my card is done.

I will link to My NBUS challenge as this is the first time I have used the Ink to Paper die.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for Friends

Hello Friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I made this one for a sweet couple at church.

My card was a Team Pick at Tic Tac Toe.

I used my Spellbinders Magnolia Blooms die again as it makes such pretty flowers.  I die cut both pieces from white and then blended blue ink where the flowers are.  On the detailed cut out top layer I masked off the leaves and sponged green ink on them.  I mounted them with foam tape on a white panel embossed with SU Dainty Diamonds EF.   I stamped and die cut the word happy from The Greetery's Birthday Blooms and mounted it with foam tape.  Anniversary is from SU Well Said (retired) and is also mounted with foam tape  This panel was glued to the card base.

I was inspired by Silke's lovely card over at  the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using the right column down - dry embossing, flowers, CAS - and thought it would make a lovely anniversary card also.  I will link to their challenge.

Birthday Wishes for a Special Friend

Hello Friends..  I am sharing a birthday card I made for a special friend. Her favorite color is yellow so I always try to include yellow flowers.

The flowers are from SSS Bouquet of Thanks, colored with SU Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends.  They are mounted with foam tape on a panel of SU Soft Sea Foam card with the edges die cut with Altenew Creative Edges: Lace Die.  I mounted this to a white panel embossed with SU Tufted EF (retired), and then to the card base.  Birthday is from The Greetery Birthday Blooms stamp and die set.  I masked the word wishes from another stamp set, cut around it and mounted it with foam tape also.

I will also link this one to the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Occasions

Happy Birthday in Silver, Blue & White

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share that I made for Just Us Girls color challenge. Lt. Blue, Silver and White.

ETA:  My card was chosen as Chic of the Week at JUGS.

I used some lt. blue card from my stash and a hot foil plate by The Greetery.  I matted this with a thin silver mat.  The greeting is also hot foiled with a Spellbinders hot foil plate and matching die to cut it with, then mounted with foam tape.  The flower is Layered Fresh Flowers from Memory Box.  I layered two large and one small flower. The center is cut from the silver foil paper.  The leaves are die cut with SU Stitched Blooms dies.

I took another photo to show the shine and greeting better.
I will also link to Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes With Dies (I have used several different dies)
