Color Hues Challenge

I have a card for the the Color Hues Challenge - Orange and Green.  Naturally, I thought of flowers so here is my card.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  I used a different background, sentiment and different colors.

I used Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms again (love this set).  I die cut the flowers from white and sponged the centers and small blooms with SU Peach Parfait ink (retired).  I die cut the flower centers and branches from SU Early Espresso card.  The leaves are cut from Wild Wasabi card (retired) and the sprigs from SU Certainly Celery card (retired).  The white panel is die cut with Ink to Paper Border Bling: Tin Stitches and layered with a mat cut from SU More Mustard (retired).  The sentiment is from SU Blossoms in Bloom (retired) stamped in Early Espresso ink and mounted with foam tape.  The larger blooms are also mounted with foam tape and the leaves glued under the petals.  Sorry for all the retired products but I find it hard to get rid of them. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for The Paper Players

Hello friends.  I have a birthday card to share today.  I had to play in the The Paper Players challenge this week, which is Blooms, as this is my favorite kind of card to make.

ETA:  Yea, my card was chosen as A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

I used Spellbinder's Magnolia Blooms (love this set and have used it several times) for the pretty blooms.  I die cut the solid bottom layer from white and sponged pink ink where the flowers are.  The top die cut layer has solid leaves so I masked the flower part and sponged green ink over the leaves, I then glued the two layers together and mounted it with foam tape on a panel cut with my new Paper to Ink Border Bling: Tin Stitched Die.  Birthday is from The Greetery Birthday Blooms stamp and die set.  Wishes is from a retired SU set and both are mounted with foam tape.  This panel is mounted to the card front and my card is done.

I will link to My NBUS challenge as this is the first time I have used the Ink to Paper die.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Just Us Girls Challenge - Color Week

Hello friends,  It is my third week as guest designer at Just Us Girls and this is Color Week.  I love these soft and pretty colors and I think you will enjoy using them on your cards, I know I did.

I cut a panel of ivory card with Pinkfresh Studio Diagonal Stitched Plaid and mounted it to the ivory card base.  The flower from Ink to Paper Into the Blooms: Dahlia Dies is cut from SU Blushing Bride.  I inked the edges of the petals and shaped them before assembling the 3 layers, added a gemstone to the center and mounted it with foam tape.  The leaves are cut from SU Soft Succulent and I also inked the edges.  Birthday is stamped in Soft Succulent with The Greetery Birthday Blooms and die cut with the matching die.  Happy is from a retired SU set.  These are mounted with foam tape.  For a final touch, I added 3 small clear rhinestones.  I love the final card with these pretty colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope to see you in the gallery at Just Us Girls.
Have a wonderful day.
